First of all I thought these light weight shoes were a great innovation and proved to be very comfortable. I do have one major complaint and one minor complaint. First of all after only 23kms the rubber seal between the body and sole has started to come off, not what you'd expect from a shoe costing this much! Second complaint is that the laces are far too long and could be reduced in length. I can not recommend these at the moment until the major issue with the rubber is addressed, obviously I will be utilising the Salomon guarantee for this!

These shoes were wildly uncomfortable. No support in the tongue so the laces cut into your feet. And all but two eyelets broke in less than a year. Wouldn't wear them if they were free.

I got these to replace another pair that had faulty material. Ive worn these less than 10 times and there is a smell of strong of ammonia that presents like cat urine. I have tried washing and sitting outside and the smell will not go away. Since this pair was to replace the last boots that the seem fell apart the company will not replace again. Don't waste your $$

Only after some light use, the seams started to come apart. Can I please get some help with this?

I have tried to like this boots. I had the low cut and like them a lot but these are really disappointing. The lace system is way too long and the ankle support is flimsy.

Poor design welded seems fell apart after 1.5 months. Company refuses a refund and has no american representation.

These boots fell apart after 1.5 months! They do not hold up.

I'm a huge Solomon fan but these "boots" are the worst I've ever bought/worn. They have absolutely zero support. I would not recommend them for any conditions. On a positive note I was able to return them for a full refund and purchased a pair of Quest 4 GTX boots.

Really loved these pair out of the box. They fit great and are super comfortable BUT Similar to many others here, the mudguard is peeling off the gore-tex after less than 25 times worn. Unfortunately for me, I got these after another pair of solomons broke so the warranty is shot and I am stuck with TWO broken pair of solomons. Dont waste youre money on Solomon shoes their quality has gone down the drain!

I bought these to give me a lightweight but comfortable shoe for easy trails, tracks and paths but after being initially impressed they have only taken 4/5 6-8 mile walks to start falling apart. I own 6+ pairs of Salomon walking shoes and boots and this is the first one to fail so badly yet one of the most expensive. Releasing such a poor quality product is idiotic and I hope its the last, I will probably risk 1 more pair of Salomons but if they are the same it will be the last.

My ex hike shoes are only three months old but that's a relevant because they started coming apart after two weeks of wearing them. I have a closet full of Salomon and these have by far been the worst. Earlier this week they started to stink really bad. Luckily the warranty process was simple and fast and I have a different pair of shoes on the way as I write this.

I took the pair out first time last weekend and after 7 miles the ripped (unglued) and water went in. Also I am trying to send a claim true the warranty website mentioned in another review and I cannot do it.

I bought these and within the first week of wearing them the seam around the front of both feet let go.

I bought these recently and tried them out on a day hike of the pemi loop in nh. Seam connecting the sole to the body of the shoe split on both shoes within a few hours of hiking. They also fit larger than the X Ultra 3s I have in the same size, and I found the laces to be much longer than necessary. They seemed like a great hybrid shoe between trail runner and boot, but I was disappointed they did not hold up on their first hike.
