I'm a nurse working 12-13 hour shifts on my feet.... honestly my feet hurt so bad after wearing these shoes that I have to wear my old shoes to allow my feet to recover. My foot doctor highly recommended Hoka and my daughter in law bought the same style and she loves them.... as for me, I'm disappointed that I spent so much when I could have bought my usual Asics or Under Armor. In Hokas defense, I couldn't wear Brooks shoes either.

These Clifton 7 sneakers have a hard, very uncomfortable area that comes up on the inside - right up agaist the inside middle of your foot at the arch area. The shoe was pretty, light and impressive looking but, too painful in that spot for me to wear them. Hard as wood in that area!

Big mistake without the pull up loop in back.... it always gets crushed while putting on!

I had to literally cut out the gussets holding the tongue in place. I ordered a wide, and the gussets were not sized up accordingly so I literally had to cut them out to make the shoe wearable. Disappointed.

They are ok.. not as great as I hoped

I have the Clifton 6s which are literally like walking on clouds. These are not. The soles are much more stiff and rigid with less of a cushiony feel. They just weren't comfy so they were returned.

I researched what I thought was going to be the perfect shoe - I tried on a pair at my running store, but wanted the new color so ordered from the site. Problem is the right shoe seems to have been sewn a little off which makes the left side of my right heel hurt just walking. I thought it was just me, but every time I put them on it's worse.

Returned for Bondi7 which I love. Bigger toe box for me works best. Wish you had Bondi7 in navy. My hospital is picky about color of shoes. Your new Bondi 7 colors make it difficult for work uniform

I bought this tennis shoes to help ease the discomfort of long hours at the hospital but I wasn't impressed. I went back to my old shoes.

Disappointed in the color. Love these shoes in general. Wanted a true red not an orange.

I ordered my normal size sneak and they were way to wide and loose all over.

This is my 2nd Clifton purchase used for street running. The 1st pair purchased last spring has the traditional Hoka cush, this pair felt significantly less cushy, but gave them a try. Developed knee pain right away. Will stick with the 1st pair & keep these for walking, but really disappointed. Purchased directly from Hoka.

As other reviews have mentioned the arch was extremely uncomfortable as soon as I put my foot in the shoe, rubbing against the arch. The discomfort was so great I knew it wasn't worth powering through and breaking them in. I returned them.

I use a few different shoes depending on what I'm doing for activity. I have a pair of Hoka Speedgoats I've been transitioning to for Spartan races, and I really love them. So when Nike changed up the sneakers I normally use for my HIIT/Strength training in the gym I decided to give the Hoka's a shot. I went through the process of using their quiz to provide suggestions for me and ultimately gave the Clifton 7 a shot. My immediate thoughts out of the box were that they were very comfortable and I would like them, so I was really optimistic. I think that if I were using these only for running, or only for forwards and backwards movement this would be great. But put simply I don't move only in that direction and regularly move laterally in the gym. I found that these shoes just didn't work for me as a result of that lateral movement. The toe box had a good amount of room. Actually almost too much room for what I do. Because I do move laterally at times (think lateral bounds, lateral lunges, etc.) I found that the shoe didn't keep my foot stable. My foot almost slid inside of the shoe even though the laces were quite snug. I really do think it was because of the extra room in the toe box that I experienced this. I don't have a narrow foot either. I ended up returning these because they're not the right shoe for that activity.

Well, I feel a little unsteady and as if I'm pitching forward when I walk. Hoping this will decrease with wear or as I get used to them.
