Great tennis shoes. Back to Altra brand because they work s well for me.

It's like you aren't wearing shoes, except you are!

This shoe is SO soft and comfortable right out of the box. I am normally a size 8 in other Altras, but found I needed a 7.5 in these because the 8 was a bit too long. These are perfect for running on paved trails or roads, with just enough padding to provide some support without losing the feel of the road. They sit low on the heel with no bulk to chafe the Achilles tendon or ankle, and they are wide in the toe box but gently hugs the rest of the foot. I barely feel like I am wearing shoes in these, which really gets back to the minimal feel that was lacking in other Altra models which became way too padded or bulky (I'm looking at you, Torin) . The only negative is I can see these wearing out faster than other shoes due to the minimal structure, but I'll take it. Thank you for these shoes!!

I have wide little feet and the wider tor box in these is super comfy! Great support as well. I find myself stretching my toes out, just because I can!

I barely had to break these guys in! Usually I have a ton of trouble finding a balance between enough foot support but also enough freedom for foot movement and these are perfect!

Great fit. Best version since the original! A half size up is all it takes.

I tend to have a hard time finding tennis shoes that work for me due to a high arch and wide-ish feet. This brand was recommended to me at a local sporting goods store while out of town. Love them.

I bought a pair of the Escalante 2.5 for my wife and she absolutely loves them! The Altra running shoes I have are well worn and also the best I have ever owned.

These are my favorite shoes for my workouts. I workout 5 days a week at Burn Bootcamp. These are great for the days we run & for cardio as well as weight training days with the zero drop sole.

This is my 4th pair of Altras, and I can't imagine buying any other shoe.

Was wearing the Solstice, but due to a forefoot injury decided to go back to the Escalante for slightly more cushioning. Seems like it is doing the trick...love them!

Right now I am waiting for my return of these shoes to be processed. I realized after I ordered them that I should have a larger size. As soon as my return and refund is processed, I will reorder a new pair and wil be able to review them. Hoping everything will be completed soon. I really liked my 1st pair...I just find that I need thicker socks when wearing them outside in the colder weather...hence larger size needed.

I put in a lot of miles and have gone through plenty of escalantes! I like the updated version and loved the no blue ones! I also run in the lone peaks on trails and torins on easy days!

I bought these for walking the dog and going to the gym. They are SO comfortable! Love the width that doesn't squish your toes and love that they are minimalist but still comfy and have just the right amount of cushion. Will be buying ALL the colors!!!8

I usually wear a 7-7.5 in running sneakers but consistently need an 8 when it comes to Altras. I typically run 6 miles a week, but have run up to 15. Almost always on paved ground. Altras are always supportive and comfortable. My last pair (Intuition 1.5) lasted 3 years, and I just bought these a few weeks ago. So far they have been great! I love the zero drop plus large toe box.

I'm a current PT student and have developed a grade I bunion on my left foot. It was getting to the point where my exercise routine was hurting my foot, and my joint would ache for a while when I was done. I'd been looking at these shoes for a while and I'm so glad I finally purchased them!! So comfortable and holds my foot in the correct alignment while allowing my toes to spread out. Best workout shoes for lifting and cardio, and I've started wearing them for everyday life. LOVE.

I'm about 30 miles in on these shoes and they've been great. I've done long runs in the snow (marathon training on Michigan... what can you do) and some shorter runs on the treadmill. So far, so good!

I love my Escalantes! They're extremely comfortable and fit perfectly. I was sold the minute I put them on. It felt like they were massaging my feet. These are actually my second pair. My first pair had some glue coming loose. I contacted customer service. They immediately sent me a new pair. I definitely recommend these shoes.

These are for walking so I needed my regular size (not up 1/2) as I do in running shoe. My feet look funny, bit feel great. I was having heel pain in my old shoes.

I have better form when running/hiking. My toes are not pulled together. With me feet being able to naturally conform to the ground I find it feels more natural. Great tread.

I absolutely love the style of the shoes and the fact the wide toebox is still a main factor in all their shoes...this shoe is very light weight I barely can tell even have shoes on.
