I like these shoes for running at the track. I have decently wide feet, and these shoes fit great. Much better than older versions of this shoe. The tongue of the shoe is very flexible, too, so they're easy to pull on!

I love this running shoe. The material used for the body offers flex but also support so my feet feel comfortable all day! I use these for my workouts as well as running around with the kids! And the blue color is beautiful!

I use these shoes in clinic 8 hours a day for over two years now. They are great for my Morton's neuroma. These shoes are so comfortable and they are fully washable & durable - I've done it many times.

I have these in black and green. They are the only shoes I run in. Great fit and comfort!

The Escalante 2.5 was the exact shoe I was looking for. A shoe that has a soft sole, with almost no drop from heel to toes. As well as a wide toe box. I wear these shoes for my every day shoe, where I'm on my feet for my job. Super comfortable. Due to the material on the upper, the tongue is soft, not rigid, so you have to be careful when putting the shoes on, so the tongue doesn't roll.

I typically dislike cushion in a running shoe, preferring a barefoot feel. These shoes are surprisingly responsive, however and I'll be wearing these more often for long and medium distance runs.

I run on pavement and these shoes allow me to put in about 30+ miles a week. They are cushioned enough for sidewalks, paved streets, and hills. I wake up the next day after a long run and don't feel like I got hit by a garbage truck.

So far I'm not disappointed with Altra shoes. Since I discovered them - was introduced to them by friend- I'm only buying Altra shoes and I'm very satisfied. Love the new colors for Escalante 2.5 and hope they will continue to add some fashionable colors and not over the top crazy unattractive combinations.

When I developed a bunionette my workouts became uncomfortable due to numbness in my toes from tight shoes. I have narrow feet so finding a shoe with a wide toe box was essential. These are the most comfortable shoes ever. This was my second pair of the escalantes and I will continue to purchase them because they are absolutely superior shoes in comfort and durability.

I have chronic hip pain and these shoes have been a game changer for sure .

I absolutely love these shoes. These are the first Altras I've tried and I'm sold. My knee pain is gone and I feel like I can do longer distances. Thanks for making an awesome shoe!

I work retail and I am on my feet all day. I am a 60 year old women and have never had a problem with my feet and all of of sudden no matter what shoes I bought my toes blistered and I was getting very frustrated. I researched all kinds of sneakers and finally found ALTRA with a wide toe bed and it was like a miracle no more foot pain and I now own 3 pair. I wouldn't buy any other now!

Love these shoes. Wish thy were a tad bit more wide, but they are definitely more comfortable than my Nike's or any other brand I've tried.

Great jogging shoe for midfoot strikers. I'm still getting used to it with walking but it's been a great jogging shoe.

I use these shoes for every day use. I can take walks in these but I wouldn't consider these for running or hiking. They feel like slippers which I love but if I walk over rocks I can feel them so I wouldn't hike in these. I think they have a very soft sole but probably not for running. I love the shoes for errands and daily wear. They are so comfortable and soft. I didn't need to "break them in" at all.

Love the comfort and stability of Escalante 2.5. Had Torin 4.5 prior in a full size larger & figured I would need the same in Escalante. Had to return them. Too long & too wide. Went to my local sports shoe store. All they had in stock was my actual size 7.5. They fit perfect! They ordered them in black & had them shipped to my house. Immediately took them for a ride - brisk jog/walk for 45 minutes. PERFECT! Comfortable with that Altra comfort & stable. Very happy.

I ordered and returned the Escalante 2.5 in 8.5. I took my time reordering. I was a little gun shy. My last pair of Altra's was the Torin 4.5 and I did need a full size up so I figured it would be the same - nope. I went to my local running shoe store so I could try an 8 in Escalanted but they only had 7.5 (my actual shoe size). Turns out they fit PERFECT! They only had powder blue so I ordered the black and white and my store had them shipped to me. Just came back from a 45 min brisk walk/jog - heaven. I am so smiling right now! Yeah you can wear you real size in these.

I wear Altra shoes for hiking and backpacking and love them. I tried the Timp for running but found it too squishy with too much stack height. I read the reviews on the Escalante and decided to give them a try. Out of the box the soles looked too thin and didn't look very cushioned. I was wrong! These shoes are awesome. Just the right amount of cushion and so light and springy feeling! Highly recommended. I can't wait to go on my next run.

Escalate have been my work shoes for many years. When I replace them for a new pair of escalate work shoes, I then have a "new" pair of garden shoes. That remain very comfortable

These shoes are the only ones that do not hurt my feet! Very comfortable, no break in time!

I work in a busy OR and I am on my feet for the whole shift. Can't tell you how many different pairs of shoes I have bought for work but these shoes are a game changer. No more sore tired feet! I highly recommend them!

I absolutely love these shoes. I have the Lone Peak 4.5 trail runners and took the chance on these, they're perfect. Only wish they came in more colors :(

I needed a show with a larger toe box and I like the zero drop feature. I love the shoes, actually have them in two colors, I like them so much!

I bought a pair of Escalante 2.5s on recommendation from my physical therapist after I started working on my chronic knee pain. I had spent many years running in Vibrams and was concerned about switching back to 'standard' shoes. The Escalantes are amazingly comfy, though. The zero-drop insole feels like a natural transition, and the broader toe box is a tremendous relief on my wide feet. I worried I might need wide-width shoes to accommodate, but the standard width works just fine. I love bright-colored shoes, and the coral colorway is perfect!
