This is my third Smartwool 250 base layer. It is my favorite base layer to wear hiking in fall and winter. The tops are very comfortable and are the best tops I have found for wicking moisture when I sweat. The tops look good on. They wash well and last through many washings. Unlike some other wool base layers I have tried, the Smartwool 250 base has a heavier weight to it and is soft against your skin. Love the color selection!

Great fit and stretch.

I bought this for my wife who is cold all the time. She said it's the warmest thing she's ever worn. The fit is perfect and the little extra length keeps it tucked in and her back warm.

Best base layer ever! Soft, flattering, and warm! Warmest base layer with no extra bulk. Wash and wears with ease! I am going to order more colors.

Great under garment weight and fit

I am nearly 6' tall and don't have much of a bust. This fits closely but loosely, and is both warm and soft (not itchy). I love the color, and I love how it fits and feels. I wish I could wear it all the time! But it isn't quite dressy enough for work.

Keeps me warm and is comfortable

I love this baselayer crew, which I buy a size up and use as a regular T shirt for casual and dressy (with a vest over it). It washes up great. I wish there were even more solid color choices (not a fan of the prints). I have been buying a variation of this bass layer T-shirt for the last 18 years to use as a regular T shirt, and my original purchases have finally become thread bare with holes in the elbows. At that point, I don't throw them out, I just use them as a night shirt when camping!

Bought this for my daughter for skiing. She absolutely loves it and says it's very warm. She'll also wear when she runs or bikes in the colder weather.

I am really happy with the feel and fit of this crew. An XL is taller, with long enough sleeves for a taller woman (I am 5'9" with long arms and long body), without becoming a tent and long enough in the body so that it tucks in and stays tucked in. I have at least four SmartWool crews now, and I will wind up with more, I am sure, for all the days of the week in winter. Also, the colors are beautiful. I bought a fuchsia and a purple mist heather and I love them both. #sweepstakes

I started with a base layer 250 Merino top purchase. Loved it so much then purchased another color. I now have four colors and plan to get others. I also ventured into the base layer leggings--have three colors, two pull-on skirts and one zip skirt, socks--have six pair, and underwear--have six. Without getting too specific, the underwear work great to deflect moisture. Family and friends say I am a walking Smartwool billboard :) The only negative feedback would be when I ordered a black top, I could tell the material was a different blend. So I looked where it was made and it turned out to be a different place than all my other items. Considering purchasing another black but will want to make sure it has the same blend. I should have called customer service at the time. Still, I am a Smartwool fan!
