Like this shirt a lot--especially the color...glad to find products without polyester--love natural fibers--wool, cotton, etc.

This base is a little thicker than the all season base and it has a little bit more structure, with a wider him at the bottom and the sleeves. The colors are beautiful and rich toned and the fit is true to size and hugs the body.

This is one of my favorite tops. The color and knit are gorgeous. It's so warm and soft, and it looks beautiful as well. The fit is perfect for me.

I've been using this as a base layer for skiing and I love it. It's a great weight and provides warmth with breathability. I'm hooked on Smartwool for my skiing basics now! I have the 200 and it is great but this 250 is amazing. Love it on extra cold days as a Baselayer for skiing or an only layer for running. Fits really well and like the longer back to cover my bum.

Warm, soft, NOT itchy

This is so soft and warm! I wanted no loose fabric, so I sized down. I'm typically a medium but I bought the small and it fits well. The white base layer has some faint teal and orange (not true white) but you can't really tell from a distance. #sweepstakes

This base layer feels like a warm hug. It is long enough to stay tucked in, no matter which activity engages me. One quality of wool I have always loved is its ability to breathe and adapt to temperature fluctuations. This top does that and its opaqueness lets me feel comfortable when i feel the need to strip down to my base layer. I followed the size charts carefully and the top fits as a base layer should. My only disappointment is that apparently my skin is pretty sensitive even to merino wool. Although I'm comfortable wearing it all day, when I take it off in the evening, I'm a little itchy around wrists and neck. I find a camisole under this does help and doesn't lessen the "hug" factor or its warmth. I'll be buying another in a different color, just for variety.

Undershirt? Sweater? Pajama top? All three to me. Love this shirt.

I love the versatility of this "base" layer. Quotations are because it works just as well when worn like a sweater. These are amazing as the wool seems to actually regulate body temps: keeps me warm but NEVER overheated. The quality is incomparably excellent. They launder well are very versatile. My husband and I are stocking up on Smartwools so we can keep the house temperature lower in an effort to combat the rising cost of heating the house. Worth. Every. Penny.

I love this layer for winter hiking. I find it to be soft and warm. It dries quickly and doesn't hold odors. It is just a fantastic base layer.
