I bought these to use as a baselayer in colder than cool conditions and they have served that purpose really great: from slower activities like hiking and snowshoeing to active snowsports. For reference I am 6' at 170 lbs and the M is sublime.

I've had a long sleeve from smartwool for years but finally purchased the bottom layer and I am so glad I did. For reference, I am women who intentionally purchased the men's because of the waist band and fit. I am usually a size M-L or 8-12 pant and these are great. I probably could have gone with a size Medium but I am happy with the Large. Very comfortable, not itchy, and love the color!

Fit and fabric are super comfortable. After spending 5 yrs in a tropical climate, my body couldn't get used to the east coast chilly temp. This product definitely keeps me warm!
