great for keeping you warm, but the length is around 29-30" for size small, which means it's too short for me (i normally wear pants with at least a 32 inseam).

I wanted to love this product I was looking for a warm but not bulky pair of 100% Marino wool base layer pants and these checked off all the boxes but after only about 8 to 10 wears of about an hour each time snowshoeing they already wore a hole in the knee and these are a base layer so I wear soft shell pants over them so how can they wear so fast. I own many Marino wool articles and I know from experience they they can wear holes quite easily but after so little use is not acceptable.

The saggy crotch area bunches up under pants and can be uncomfortable. Don't understand why there is so much fabric in the crotch.

These definetly help in mild-cold temperatures however the quality is clearly lacking. After a couple years with minimal use these began separating at the seams and developing large holes.

Bought them for my husband that works outside all day. I was super excited but after he came home and I asked if he stayed warm he said he was a little warmer then others he's worn (and they were much cheaper in price) but he was still on the cold side.

I wanted them to be perfect for skiing, as they would sit above the boot. They are too loose at the bottom and climb up the leg making my shin cold.

These are really warm and feel nice, however they split at a seam within the first two wears. Would not recommend.

I have always been a big fan Patagonia Capaliene but thought I would give these a try. Have had these bottoms for about one year and they are starting to wear through to where you can see right through them. Some of the Patagonia bottoms I have are over 15 years old an they never had issues as these are an everyday winter item here in Alaska. For the amount of money these cost, I'm not taking the chance of purchasing another pair to see if they last longer.

First I'd like to say this thing is warm and durable I've been using it almost every day for the past couple of months. The biggest con and gripe is the waistband. I have the Fall 2019 version, and the waistband isn't stitched in place within the waistband fabric. The problem is the elastic moves and rotate and folds over itself causing it to become really thin and uncomfortable. After washing it or wearing it, I have to move the elastic waistband so that it lays flat again. So being that I paid full price and having this issue doesn't make this a good purchase.

I have always loved merino wool stuff, namely smart wool stuff. I have several base layer shirts that I have had and used for years. They are durable and well made, and will last man more years. Because of this, I decided to buy a pair of 250 bottoms. Very comfy, standard long john bottoms. My beef is that the seam under the crotch has completely blown out! Even on PRODEAL these bottoms are already ridiculously over priced, and now they are cheaply made, and I am stuck with them. This experience has made me look at other companies. Also, smart wool doesn't use 100% merino wool in a lot of their stuff any more. Most notably their sweaters. Check out MINUS 33. Not the best quality stuff, but it is NEARLY HALF THE COST! The socks are still the best though...

Unfortunately I decided to return this item for the very reason the waistband was uncomfortable. I had owned an old version of these by Smartwool that I was replacing. The older model (many years old) had the waistband that was much less constricting and was covered by material. It was very comfortable and you hardly knew you had them on. This new version is also 100% merino but the waistband is not covered and is pure elastic. I found it quite uncomfortable and I always knew I had them on.

I purchased this base layer as Christmas gift for my son and it was never delivered by FedEx as it was stuck at nearby city for five days. It is absolutely maddening experience for me and customer care service was of no help with lady responding on telephone talking with intense heavy accent with child crying in background. Thus I was forced to cancel the purchase and spoiled my Christmas.

The vase layer did not even last one winter for they were covered in holes from the fabric wearing out and seems coming apart. Deffently not worth the money, considering the cost to longevity.

No warmer or more comfortable than similar products that cost 5 times less.
