I backpack, these are a great addition to my gear in the winter. Comfortable, warm, and the blue especially is just a nice color. I've also started to wear them day to day and I am very happy with how they hold up.

Wear as a liner for activities. When other companies start lowering their quality to meet profit goals, smartwool has maintained its high quality products over the years that I have bought their products

It's ridiculously cold in the northeast this winter, but these thermals make it bearable. They're warm and comfortable, without being too thick or bulky.

We got these for a base layer for hiking on the weekends in west virginia. They are so so soft. They keep us warm. I told my husband i only want to wear wool clothes after having this on. He agrees. Will be buying more prices in the future!

This is the perfect base layer in winter, I wore it at 18 degrees and it kept me warm the whole time, it wicks moisture quick when you're out working and breathes well so you don't get cold when you take a break also I can wear it 2-3 days in a row without hardly any smell. Highly recommend for someone who works in the cold.

I've had a long sleeve from smartwool for years but finally purchased the bottom layer and I am so glad I did. For reference, I am women who intentionally purchased the men's because of the waist band and fit. I am usually a size M-L or 8-12 pant and these are great. I probably could have gone with a size Medium but I am happy with the Large. Very comfortable, not itchy, and love the color!

I wear my bottom base layer as the foundation to every day on the job site - winter in Maine, preparing sites for Scandi-inspired hotel rooms in the woods. I stay warm and comfortable at the skin level, with exterior clothing layers keeping the wind and moisture away. I've always relied on SmartWool base layers to keep my mind on the work at hand, rather than having to think about feeling uncomfortable during the winter months.

I live in NYC where winters are long and cold. I wanted a base layer to wear under my work clothes and when doing random everyday city stuff. These pants are critical in keeping my legs warm when I'm outside, but I don't even notice them when I'm indoors. I love how soft they are on top of that. They feel well constructed too. Looking into tops too now.

I purchased this item for my son who lives in northern New Hampshire where it is extremely cold. He does a lot of running and hiking and absolutely loves this base layer.

Soft, warm but not heavy, and very comfortable. Fits well with a snug but not restrictive feel, which is important to meI'd rather be cold than lose mobility. I can move freely when walking around. I live in California and bought this specifically for a trip to New York over Christmas, where it kept me warm the entire time. I've also found it useful to wear in San Jose on colder days.

Many years ago I discovered Merino Wool because of "Smartwool." I have purchased many socks over the years and have never been disappointed. I purchased this base layer hoping for a lightweight but warm bottoms that would not feel bulky or uncomfortable as I explored the Mountains in New Mexico and beyond. These are everything I asked for. I added a video of what I hiked to while wearing them. No cold felt ! Jemez Falls, NM.
