I have multiple pairs of these and have worn them every day in the winter for several years (they do wear out). In my work as a preschool assistant teacher, I am inside and outside with the kids. I am comfortable with these under my clothing. I also use them for improv dancing.

Purchased these for my husband in preparation for a move to Nebraska. These were among three brands we decided to try. I am already a fan, but after wearing these for a week and only trying the other brands on for one day or less, hubby was sold. He loved them so much, he returned everything else that was still in return condition and asked for more Smartwool. His rating: just enough comfort and warmth without resulting in sweat in all the wrong places!

This long underwear is so comfortable and warm, it is exactly what I need on those days when the temperatures are low enough to need an xtra layer. I think, really, they will become my "house pants". Thank goodness they aren't itchy.

I was worried the wool might be itchy, but it's soft as cashmere. My son loves them!

Great fit and warmth from size M for a 33/32 pant size. Wore them under sweatpants for workouts and jeans for extra warmth hanging outside in recent cold snap. No comparison to synthetic for warmth and comfort; do tend to stretch a bit while wearing and need a wash between wearings to "reset"the material. Would never wear them except as an underneath layer.

Love these bottoms. Soft and warm! So much better than UA.

My husband wears this base layer every day in the winter, at home and when skiing. His first pair developed a few holes after about 5 years, which is a reasonable amount of time for them to last. He still wears them, but got s second pair to eventually replace the first. We wash them in a mesh bag to reduce some wear from washing. In summary, an excellent base layer.

These pants are very warm and comfortable.

I bought these for my partner who farms year round in MA. His previous pair from another brand made him itchy, so I got these for him and they're working great!

Can't find anything negative to say about them. Warm base layer for skiing. Much warmer than any other base layers I've tried. Worth the money.

I put these pants on underneath a pair of Dickies work jeans, I walk outside to go to work and my first thought is always, is it really even cold outside?! These are great for any outdoor activity whether work or play, they essentially eliminate the cold and even more comfortable than any pair of pajamas I own. Heck, I use them as jams sometimes, no kidding.

I use these with my suite, jeans, and to sleep. I love them. Very Warm! Breath really well as well.

I was warm all weekend despite freezing temps and periods of heavy sweating. These are warm and moisture wicking and have the softest hand of any fabric in my base layer collection.

10 degrees with 25-35 mph on the chair lift with just shell pants and my legs were toasty. The material is so soft and comfortable you forget they are on. No bunching or bulking even when skiing in bumps and trees. The breathability is great for skiing and will also be great for spring/fall hiking and camping. Perfect for around the camp site when the sun goes down and the temperature drops.

I had thought for a long time if I should really spend the extra cash to opt for wool base layer. WOW! They feel awesome, and fit nicely. Still waiting since purchased for sub zero cold days to see how they perform. I am an extra tall person (6 foot 7 inches) and was concerned if they would be long enough. Along with Crew socks there is enough overlap above the ankle to secure them to stay put on the lower leg.

I use this as a base layer for hunting and fishing, it's great.
