Solomon stands behind there product. I definitely wish I I could get a pair to last more than 4-7 months. But as long as you guys continue to stand behind your product I'll live.

I have a similar pair of Solomon’s in the same size and they fit me perfectly. These felt small and tight. Returned them.

I got these shoes yesterday. I took my dog on a walk today and saw a puddle of water so I decided to walk through to test the goretex waterproofing. The puddle was about 1 inch deep. I expected this to be no issue so it was surprising when both shoes let in water at the toes. I guess the seams where the shoe meets the sole is bad because I'm 100% positive that the puddle came nowhere near the top of the toe box. Overall, good shoes, I like them. But I don't think I can trust them as a waterproof shoe.

I have had this the shoes for all most 2 months and as my second pair of XA Pro's, I love the versatility the provide. From hiking, backpacking, and trail running, to local walks in the rainy PNW, they keep my feet dry and comfy. I only have two complains, one is my fault; my after market insoles tend to wear through the goretex liner in the heel area, I have added some tape to help protect this pair so we will see, the other complaint is that the seam where the goretex liner meets the upper heel cup material tends to give my achilles a blister if I put in big miles. I have developed a callus there but the first couple days are usually a little rough, moving this seam or having it be less harsh would be key for the next generation. Overall I love the shoes and will definitely have another pair

Habe diesen Schuh bereits in der 5. Generation. Allerdings fllt er pltzlich deutlich grer aus. Habe mir direkt 2 Blasen gelaufen. Funktional immer sehr gut gewesen. Die Sohlen laufen sich leider etwas schnell ab.

I love the support and comfort of these shoes. After putting a few hundred miles on them, the soles are wearing a bit more than I'd like.

Very pleased with the product. Breaking them in slowly, could even be a little bit wider in the toe box.

I bought these because I have a pair low top goretex shoes for summer. I have a pair of Ultra X Goretex 6" boots that I love and a friend wears the Pro XA. I use these for rucking, mostly on pavement, but some trails, and my plain clothes LEO job. They were a bit stiff at first, but after about 10 miles in them they fit great. I love the lacing system, and of course, the Goretex. I'm hoping these last as long as the boots (4+years). My normal size was perfect.

Own a pair of the XA Pro 3D V8 in a wide fit and they are significantly wider than these. Don't know why Salomon have produced a wide fit shoe which is so much narrower than previous versions. Surely the whole point of a wide fit version is to accommodate a wider foot. Or perhaps I am confused.....

Insoles are too thin to insulate bottom of my feet from feeling the tread pattern when walking on hard surfaces. Shoes need more insulation between tread and insole like the X Ultra 04 hiking shoes that I previously owned.

The only thing is that the choice of color is not great has it use to be. You should hava more colors because the black is not that popular.

It would be amazing, unfortunately it has 0 cushion for backheel that means friction destroys skin. It was the same with v8. Unforgivable for such high price

But, they now have a wider toe box than before. Been wearing this shoe for many years and the V9 is not what the previous versions were. I have a narrow foot and was so happy to find the Salomon's and the lacing system is the bom, being able to slip into them. Anyhow, now looking for a new shoe. Peace!

Hi, I used Salomon's sizing and measurement chart for I used Salomon's sizing and measurement chart for the first time. The shoes I received are fine to walk on flat surface, but going downhill, no. My fingers were pressed against the front of the shoes the whole time, although I ordered the larger of what the chart actually recommended. The shoes feel small despite being the wide model. Regards,

The shoes seem to be of excellent quality... I wish they fit, but I tried various sizes of the Wide Fit and I would hardly consider the Wide Fit to be wide at all.... I'm disappointed. If you have narrow feet, these seem like a great find!

Like many of you. I am forever in search of a shoe to fill the hole left by the X-Ultra 3 GTX. The X-Ultra 4 doesn't measure up and sadly neither does the XA PRO 3D v8 GORE-TEX. It's not as comfortable. The upper material feels thin and unsupportive. The overall fit feels slightly off and the ride is a bit too firm for my liking. That being said, it is better than the X-Ultra 4 in those same departments. Time will tell how it holds up in terms of overall durability. Please bring back the X-Ultra 3. Call it the 5 if you like. Just give the people what they really want.

I've had these shoes for around a month and a half. I've only used them for day to day walking around and to wear to work - no hiking, running, or anything of the like. The laces have already begun to cut through the lowermost loops. At this rate, they won't last very long before they've completely cut through making the shoe useless. My other frustration with these shoes is that now they CREAK. You can literally hear me walking down the hallway due to the creaking laces. I can arch my foot and just hear the laces creak. I'm about done wearing them with how annoying they are. Beyond that, they are very comfortable and feel great to walk around in. I *love* the cinch up lacing with how quick and easy it is. It just needs a lot of improvement.

I have always liked these shoes and have bought multiple pairs over the years. It seems like the shoes have been made narrower midway down the foot. I have a D width so not terribly wide and I am surprised they hurt my feet. I ordered the wide version and they are still narrow. I do like them so I wear them anyway but would love for them to go back the way they were a few years ago when they were slightly wider.

The speed lace lock on the right shoe doesn't work. Keep slipping loose. Then the shoe loosens throughout the day and I have to keep re-tightening it. I've had three pairs of these shoes and never had a problem with the speedway system. Really disappointing.

Sadly, they don't last. They only lasted for about a year. The waterproofing was no longer affective after six months. They hurt the top of my feet which was not an issue with the previous model. I still own and wear the older version and the only issue with them is the tread (no more grip). Very disappointed and wish they would go back to the older version. Why fix something that isn't broken. I would still recommend them if you have reoccurring plantar fasciitis. It cured mine and I am no longer in pain.

I bought a pair of these 5 months ago and use them on average 30 Km per week and now there are holes in the inside liner heel of both shoes. Very disappoints the lack of durability from a brand that bills themselves as a solid outdoor gear maker.
