So I purchased the Bravada both waterproof (in black) and non waterproof in the tan color, both size eight. WOW! The waterproof one is a half size smaller! Everytime I purchase Merrell, I get a size eight. What happened! I like the way the shoe looks, but a half size smaller!

I have 2 different pairs of merrell sirens. Both 9.5. I ordered a 9.5 in these and they were too small. Even tho these were smaller in size they were still bulkier than the sirens. I exchanged and got a 10 but I don't like the way they fit. I think the sirens are a bit wider. These also make a crinkle noise when I walk. It's the material covering the toe. I'll be returning them. p

The shoe felt comfortable, but after walking a little bit in them, I could tell that the shoes were rubbing hard on my ankle bone and actually caused a blister like gash after walking just one mile. It could be an easy fix if the manufacturer cut the sides of the shoe by the ankles just a little bit lower so that the shoes did not rub on the ankles bones. Secondly, this shoe does not have a "tongue" like most shoes. Instead, the flap between the laces is completely attached to the shoe. I have narrow feet. Therefore, when I tighten the laces up, it causes a ripple on the top of my shoe. I think a real tongue with cuts would remedy this problem so the shoe lays flat.

I bought these, but have high arches and could. To get them on my foot with the short tongue. I love everything else about them, so was disappointed I had to return them. It was very simple to return on line.

Cuter in picture. Feels like a heavy boot. Rubs ankle. Makes my foot look really wide. Not a natural fit or feel. Can't enjoy the hike when your feet aren't happy

I purchased these and they looked great. They run wide and when you cinch the laces the piece over the top of the foot bunches. Did not fit well; returning. It also took a long time for them to arrive! I wear Merrill all the time and never had an issue.

The colours are more muted than in the picture, that's not a bad thing. The major problem is the top of the foot has no give where the tongue meets the toe box and is very uncomfortable. Hard to get on without really hurting the top of the foot. I used the sizing recommendations on the Website and think it's close...but Really hoping they stretch out. It's like they think you don't have any height to your feet, only width. !?!??

I love this shoe; however I have a high arch that will not allow me to wear this. There is a band right across the arch that digs in and there is nothing you can do to adjust it.

I bought these because Shape magazine had good reviews and I needed a new pair of waterproof walking shoes. I thought I'd give Merrell another shot after having both Keen and Merrell, both brands started out waterproof but didn't last. I'm walking thru damp grass in hay fields not water puddles. These started out waterproof but it only lasted thru about 10 walks. Very disappointed and won't buy another pair in the future as I always need an insole with this brand

I wanted to love them But they destroyed the back of my heels like none other. Even with me trying to break them in. For the price I was hoping for better shoes.

I really wanted to love these, they are sturdy and come in great colors. But I just can't get them to stop rubbing my ankle bones raw and I ended up with blisters. I've only worn them a few times and it doesn't matter what socks I wear, they are still painful. Upside- they look good on...

I had high hopes for these since they were sneaker/hiker. The weight of the shoes is perfect, not heavy, and they are flexible. However, I find that these run narrow. While the toe part is good, the middle of the shoe is tight and digs Into the tops of my feet. I ordered these last month and finally had the chance to wear them today, I am extremely disappointed.

I am still waiting to return them, haven't received the shipping label. I am returning them because there wasn't enough support for my foot.

You can hear the waterproof plastic in the shoe with every step and the shoe makes your foot look twice as wide and fat. Not very flattering but comfortable for long walks. Over all I was not very pleased with the purchase.

This shoe caused painful corns on both of my feet. I would like to hear from anyone else who suffered injury from this shoe. I am a serious trail walker for the past ten years and keep at least a dozen trail walking and hiking shoes to choose from for each day on the trail. They have all been a 7.5 medium. This shoe is improperly sized. The medium should be labeled a narrow. This shoe should not be labeled a hiker either. It is a casual or fashion shoe. The opening is tiny and the shoelaces are cosmetic. It is really a modified slip on.

Both are Merrells size 6. Left ones are Siren Edge 3. I'm looking for a pair of waterproof shoes that fit well without hitting the ankle bone. The Merrell siren's are my go to shoes but the soles wore out in less than 6 months. I'm probably going to spend the extra money and get the ON brand of waterproof shoes because of how it fits. The Bravada is going back!

I hike a lot and the material around the ankle is very uncomfortable. Right now I on my second pair of Merrell Siren Edge in less than a year because the soles wear out fast. I've tried the waterproof but the fit is different probably because of the waterproof liner and I can feel the collar of the ankle area hitting my ankle bone. The Siren have a roomier toe box and nice hug around my foot. I do use inserts in them and will use them in all my shoes so I can't judge the lack of arch support. If Merrell is reading this, contact me if you need a model foot. People with larger sizes seem to love the Moab and other more durable hiking shoes and don't have ankle bone issues. I know it isn't just me because I'm reading the reviews. Possible people with a thicker ankle also don't have issues. I'm 5', 105# and I think my foot is pretty much average for a size 5 1/2 - 6 shoe. If you are like me check out the "ON" brand shoe. They have a unique cutout around the ankle bone which is awesome. I'm currently evaluating the Cloud model.

These shoes are very uncomfortable and have been worn only a couple of times. The toe box is too small/low and rubs the top of my toes. I'd return them if possible.

I have happily worn Merrill shoes for a few years now so I didn't hesitate to buy the Bravada online. The first time I wore them I had problems sliding my foot into the shoe but wiggled it in and walked away. The second time I realized the problem was the built in tongue that doesn't move freely so the shoe doesn't open up with the laces loosened. I'm quite disappointed with my purchase of these shoes because I'll never be able to wear them.

I was told these run small and ordered a half size up and got a medium width. I couldn't even get these on my feet in standard issue "Vermont" hiking socks. I don't have particularly wide feet, or anything strange going on. Mysterious! I have several pairs of the Alpine style sneakers and they fit great. Love 'em. Not sure what happened here. excited to try as an alternative to the brand I've always worn, but I guess I'll stay in the K double E N camp.
