I loved the look of these shoes but had to return them because the high sides rubbed on my ankle bones

Great amount of cushion. Hiked 3 miles in them right out of the box and felt great. Good traction on wet leaves, ledges, muddy surfaces and general trails. Good room in the toe box for my wide feet and material was accommodating for my bunion. They seem really durable.

Loved the shoes but they were not wide enough in the ball of the foot. Merrell....please make these in wide sizes!
Disappointed and returning them.

I ordered up a 1/2 size after reading reviews here and at Merrell.com. They fit perfect! Super lightweight and cushy. I haven’t worn them on a hike yet, but nice to have “summer” hikers vs my Timberlands.

I am looking for a waterproof shoe with a running shoe feel instead of a hiker feel. These definitely fit the bill. I’m not usually a fan of black tennis shoes, but the orange sole really works with these. I’m returning this pair because they rub on my lateral malleolus (outer ankle bone), and I’m not willing to risk breaking that in. Otherwise, good arch support with wide toe box and no heel slippage.

These waterproof hiking shoes are fantastic. I wore them for the first time for a hike in a very hilly, wet, muddy area. The traction was like no other shoe I've had before and the level of comfort was a nice surprise. Being waterproof, they really keep the heat in, especially when worn with a thicker sock! I highly recommend these!

I usually wear a size 9.5 in regular shoes/heels and a 10 in running shoes. I ordered the 9.5 & 10 in these and kept the 10s. They both fit but I had a little more room for swollen feet/toes in the 10s. I wore them around my house a bit before deciding they'd be good, then went straight into wearing them 4 days straight at boy scout camp. They stayed dry until the last day where it POURED for over an hour and I believe the insides of my shoes got wet because the water dripped down my legs and into my socks. Overall I'm pleased with their performance and will take them to scout camp again!

My usual running shoe size (9.5) is a half a size larger than my regular shoes size (9.0). I ordered these in 9.5 and they are a perfect fit. I wouldn't describe these are super cushioned but they have a sturdy feel, an unexpectedly nice look on my feet, and will be perfect for wet, sloppy weather. As other reviewers mentioned, the sides are high against the ankles, but these shoes are so soft that it isn't an issue (at least for me).

These are quite comfortable and supportive and fit fairly well, but they have two major issues for me. First, the toe box feels a bit narrow -- my little toe is squished. Merrells usually fit me great, but I had the same issue with the Siren Edge 3s I tried on at the same time. The other issue is the weird thing sticking up in the back. No idea what the purpose of that is. It's very stiff, no give at all. If I ever had to walk down a slope, it would be stabbing right into my Achilles tendon. Just puzzling why they'd put this on a hiking shoe.

This is a beautiful shoe and I would love to have kept if it did not rub my ankle bones. Even with a good sock, it was not a comfortable feel.

Good traction on these shoes for tricky, sandy switchbacks, but it doesn't have much cushion/support for the balls of your feet or in the toe area. If you're like me and you prefer difficult trails where you gain at least 1500-2500 ft in elevation, the downhill will kill your toes, especially if the distance is longer than 5 miles. I got these shoes because it looked like the back tab wouldn't rub into my Achilles the way some athletic shoes do but, unfortunately, these did as well. I have to wear moleskin to keep from getting blisters and to top it off, it started fraying at the topline after just 4 or 5 hikes, which was immensely disappointing. If you want comfort and bounce for the punishingly long downhill hikes, I would look at some of the trail runners Nike has.

I wanted to love these shoes, but unfortunately the back of the shoe was too high and hit into the back of my foot with each step. Truly disappointed. I love the style and color. Sure wish the back of the shoe was about 1/2" lower or a little more flexible so that it would give with step. It's pretty stiff, so I don't think it will break in even with time. I ended up buying Merrell Siren Edge 3 Waterproof. Also have pair of the same style in non waterproof.

My go to walking shoes. On my second pair. My first pair lasted a long time but finally wore out. Sturdy and comfortable with great traction and stability on dirt roads and rocks.

I had injured my knee and I found these sneakers to have the best support of all my other footwear. Very important.

This is my 2nd pair of Bravada Waterproof shoes. They are comfortable, and take a lot of abuse. My other ones are still keeping my feet dry.

The waterproof Bravada is a great shoe to take on adventures. I just took mine to Costa Rica during the rainy season and hiked up a mountain to zip line. It started to pour that afternoon but my feet stayed comfy and dry.

If you have a high instep, as I do, there is a band going across the top of the foot that has no give to it. I have had to use a shoe horn to get them in, due to my high Instep. It is better now, after two weeks of wearing four hours a day. I wear a size seventhis shoe is a snug fit.

My first time wearing them. We didn't plan on going very far and I thought I would start breaking them in but we started on a mountain hiking path and then just kept going. The shoes were excellent. The only issue was toward the end after going steeply down, I felt some pressure on my toes. Considering the shoes were right out of the box and my feet were being pressed downward going down the steep decline it isn't a surprise. So impressed.
