Please bring back the width of the prior versions of the Timp. I run 1500 trail miles per year and had owned countless numbers of the Timp. Until now. Altra has gone away from the width that made the Timp so amazing. Very disappointed.

I purchased six pairs of the 1.0 and nine pairs of the 1.5 - thru hiking mostly. Hated the tread pattern on the previous models because a lot of foam hit the ground and squeaked, but I loved the fit and feel of the shoe. The 2 is just narrow enough that I can't wear it; the fabric is cheaper and not as smooth. The sole is greatly improved but it doesn't matter- the shoe is not wide enough and now I have to leave the brand, as the Timp 1.5 was Altra's widest trail shoe.
I'm glad that some of you, who had been complaining that the shoe was too wide, got your way on this iteration, but at least you had the Lone Peak and Olympus- now many of us are back to trying to find something that fits. For the love of God, Altra, give us a wide version. Better yet, give us a wide Olympus- that shoe lasts a lot more miles. Some of us did, after all, buy $2000 worth of the product over three years.

The Timp 1.5 have me blisters because the toe box wasn't deep enough and forced me to go up a full 1.5 sizes from Lone Peaks. I tried the same size in the 2s and they were even worse. I could feel the top of my toe rubbing the upper, despite having plenty of space. I was really hoping the sizing would improve, but I guess it's time to try Hokas.

For those of us with wide feet and fell in love with th the 1.5 it time for a divorce. Hikers with flinstone feet went to Altra for there unique shoe shape and width are going to look for something else.
