I loved these shoes. Great cushioning, good arch support, great color. Unfortunately they ran narrow in my ususal sneaker size; I ordered them in a wide, and they were too wide. I wear a lot of New Balance shoes and they are well made and durable. If I did not have bunions, I could have worn my normal sneaker size which is 10,5 M. So disappointed. My regular shoe size is a 10m , but I always go up a half size in a sneaker.

This shoe fits on the foot the same way that exercise leggings do. They're stretchy, but surprisingly snug. Very comfortable, but can start to feel tight across the top of the instep if you were them for more than a couple of hours. Love the comfort and support!

Nice running shoe, they do feel kinda snug, I loosened up the laces alot on these shoes. I'm having issues with my heels being sore and I'm hoping these shoes help.

This is a great shoe. Very comfortable and love the cushioning. My only downside is the shoe is very expensive and seems to wear down the padding quickly for the price.

I wanted to love this shoe but for me if fit weird because of the elastic goring stitched down to the tongue on both sides. Not that easy to get your foot into comfortably. Not sure why NB sewed that goring it. If no elastic gore, the shoe would be perfect. Sadly am going to return.

I typically go up a full size in my running sneakers and these were no exception. I have a narrow foot yet still found these quite snug. I debated returning them but after a few runs, they are starting to loosen up. Love the cushion and looking forward to many runs in them!

I have very problematic feet so it is difficult to find shoes that work. These again did not work for me as others mentioned, I had the same problem with the forefoot area being too short/narrow even in the XWide (2E). Also the tongue at the top was too tight on my sensitive feet and and you can't adjust the tension in this area. Also difficult to put the shoes on. If these features were adjusted, the shoe itself seemed like it would be comfortable as it did have a lot of cushion and I liked the toe area being elevated for my arthritic toes.

I have had these shoes now for about 4 months. I like them a lot. I have had a true narrow (2A) foot my whole life, to the point where I cannot wear a lot of shoes because they don't have narrow widths, and I have mostly bought new balances my whole life because of this. These shoes have great comfort. Like excellent. However, one shoe, my left, feels a lot tighter around my foot than the other. I walk about 5 miles every day and usually about an hour into my walk with these shoes, it is very tight around the top on the left foot. I am considering cutting the inside part that holds the tongue in place because these are made so that you just slip them on, to help loosen the shoe a bit. If I would have known better before I wore them all around Cuba for a trip I would have returned them and even gotten a medium width! Which for someone like me with a very narrow foot says a lot. Definitely take advantage of Zappos return policy if you can after you have worn the shoes some to make sure they fit well. Otherwise they are great shoes!

So here's the wierd thing: I had the 1080v9 I guess, the model that had mesh for the upper, and my toes went through within a month. Switched out to the 1080v10 with the newer knitted upper--same size, yet they were incredibly tight! So I ordered these, the wide version, and they were too wide. Go figure. Back they went. I then ordered another NB shoe that is the right fit for me.

I've been wearing the 1080 series for a few years now. They've always fit perfectly - until v10. The latest ones are designed quite differently and are a bit shorter in length than previous versions in the same size.

Oh, 1080's, how I USED to love thee...until you futzed with the design making even the wide sizes too narrow. The regular B width used to be perfect for my high arches/wider forefeet, until now. I tried a D width AND EE, and even then, the top of my foot started falling asleep just walking in them around the house. So disappointing. New Balance, note that you just lost another high-arched customer to Hokas, which are my new perfect running shoes.

I am a true size 9 in just about every brand of running shoes I’ve ever owned, including previous New Balance. These shoes are so incredibly tight. I thought I needed to wear them around to break them in, but they are now cutting off the circulation in my foot. There is an interior band that is literally compressing my foot. I wish I hadn’t worn these outside already.

I wanted to like the shoe. Everything felt good except the top part across the arch area was too tight. I have very wide feet and high arches. I ordered 7 wide

I bought new balance fresh foam 1080 v6 and loved them. So I didn’t think twice about buying this pair, fresh from 1080 V 10. However they have changed the insides of the shoes. Now, at the bottom of the eyelet, there is a small protrusion on the inside of the shoes which rubs against my foot. I ended up returning them and wish I could buy the older version.

This shoe was very comfortable and the width was fine but where it laced up had a stitching in it where the tongue was connected. This prevented a full expansion into the width and ended up being too tight on the top of my foot. Loved the shoe though and very comfortable otherwise. I had to return though because the top of my foot was all indented due to the stitching.

I love that this shoe looks great and is comfortable! I have a medium width foot and the toe box as well as the shoe is too tight in my regular size (7). The size is fine a half size up but the toe box is still too narrow. I am going to return them both and try for a wide width in a 7.5. I have no wide width shoes, so this is definitely a different fit than I’m used to.

These shoes were so cute! I wanted them to fit. I ordered a wide. I don’t have overly wide feet but NB wide seems to fit good usually. Under the laces is an elastic strip and over the top of my left foot it was sooooo tight. The right foot fit fine. Only my left foot. I loosened the laces and pulled on it and nothing helped. It was so painful even after wearing for a day it didn’t stretch out. Not sure if it’s my foot or a defective pair, but I had to send them back. I do t even want to rebuy because it made a bruise on my foot.

I am still deciding. I have never ordered a wide. The first pair was a regular width and was way to narrow. The wide fits good without socks. They are very comfortable.

I was very disappointed after being told about these amazing shoes by 2 friends!!! I have never had shoes fit so strangely. I wear a size 11 and I upsized to 11/1/2 based on reviews. The right one seemed to fit fine, and I had trouble even getting the left one on it felt too small. I checked the sizes and they were both the same size, but the left one clearly felt smaller and tighter. After wearing them for a couple hours they were both pinching my toes which is bizarre because they are a stretch material! The toe has a hardened area at the front which I think is the culprit. They are very lightweight which I liked and arch support was good, but the toes were a real issue. One reviewer had said they made her feet look huge which I am sensitive to in my enormous size, but I did not feel they looked that big, just like regular athletic shoes. I id not want to try a 12 or a wide because i have a narrow foot and heel and they didn't feel short, just uncomfortable!

I have previously worn the v8 of this shoe. This new version is much narrower and shorter. I am going to try ordering a larger size and see if those work. I have loved my 1080v8 - so disappointed that they have changed!

I’ve worn NB for many years, always loved them. With this pair, there was a seam running across the top of the tongue which dug into the top of my foot. Returned them, but I’m not sure if other models have this new feature.

I find the shoe box to be too snug. I have already worn these outside so cannot return. Will try shoe stretchers. New Balance should have stayed with the 1080v9 style.

11.5 narrow. Soooo disappointed in this sneaker. I supinate/underpronate (shoes wear on pinky toe sides since I naturally walk/run on the outside of each foot) and wanted to like these since my size is very hard to find and these sneakers are designed especially for supinators. That said, I didn't like the style, but since my choices are always limited, if they fit, I'd keep and wear them. Trying them on, I noticed right off that the back of the sneaker is high, very odd and rubbery. It also sticks out and doesn't lie smoothly against the heel compared to all other sneakers I've ever owned. Why the gap? They were also a bit wide in the toe box despite being a narrow. The overall the shoe had cushioning so that was good. However, the other problems made it a deal-breaker to keep them so they're going back, and the search continues. Zappos easy return policy is the BEST!

I am so disappointed. After wearing New Balance shoes for years because of the good fit and the wider toe box, they have changed it! The toe box is more narrow and even around my ankle feels more snug. I will have to find a new shoe.

NB made a change to the 1080 shoe (longer and narrower toe box), now I have to make a change and find a new shoe.
