Was VERY disappointed in Zappos!!!! The shoes they sent were clearly worn and used. They had scuff marks on the backs of the heels. You can tell the bottoms had been worn outside. This is the really GROSS part....both shoes had discoloration on the inside tongue and around the inside rim of the shoes. It looked as if the previous person who owned this pair had tanning cream on their feet and it rubbed off on the shoes. I CANNOT BELIEVE Zappos would even send these out to anyone!!!! They weren't even in the original box.

These were very uncomfortable. I have pretty flat feet and the insole in these was way too high for me. It felt like walking on a golf ball. I had to return them.

The New Balance 1080v10 is a horrible replacement for the 1080v9. Completely different fit with uncomfortable elastic across the instep.

Impossible to get my extra wide foot into these. Odd design makes it impossible to put my foot into this shoe. A person with a narrow foot might be able to wear these but I would suggest that they buy a much wider shoe than they normally do. No idea what the arch support is like as I couldn’t get my foot inside these shoes. Again, no idea about the length either for the same reason.

So, I really liked these shoes to begin with! They had great cushioning for running, and I liked the feel of the knit body of the shoe. However, after a few months of normal wear, the back heel started to tear apart on both shoes. I haven't seen other reviews like this, so I may have just received a defective pair, but I was disappointed this happened. First New Balances I have owned that haven't lasted at least a year or two.

I need a shoe with a lot of cushion and Brooks has redesigned my usual model so it no longer works for me. I wear a 7.5 wide but can't seem to find a size/width that fits with this shoe. The wide is def too narrow so I have tried a ww and it still feels too narrow. I have an 8 ww on backorder. Keeping my fingers crossed that it works!

I have had several NB Fresh Foam shoes, and I'm so disappointed in these. The heel cushioning feels as good as ever, but this version is extremely narrow from top to bottom, which leaves a painful red mark on the top of my foot. No other Fresh Foam shoes have done that. Don't buy these expecting them to have the same fit as previous versions!

As much as I loved the previous version of this shoe, I hate this version! It's so tight across the top of my foot -something I didn't notice until after I had already worn them outside. I've tried shoe stretchers -even cutting the built it "sock" to no avail. Still too tight.

Don’t know what has happened to NB shoes. I’ve read several comments similar to mine. I’ve worn NB for years because they were comfortable on my wide feet. A couple of years ago, they discontinued my favorite style and all their shoes feel -a lot- more narrow. I can no longer wear them - just painful.

I have been wearing 1080s since 2008 and New Balance ruined these shoes! What I used to love about them was the wide toe box. I wear a medium width in a size 10. The 1080v10 caused my pinky toes to go numb and a blister on the bottom of my foot. Neither of which ever happened while I’ve worn the 1080v9 or earlier. I hope they change them back!

I had high hopes for these shoes but sadly they did not work out. These are NOT good for people with high arches. When I put them up they were so tight on the top of my foot that they were impossible to wear. However, the tightness was just below the middle of my foot so the laces had nothing to do with the fit. I could barely get my foot in them and I have skinny feet. I also have plantar fasciitis and the arch support was useless as well.

I am very disappointed in this shoe. I have several versions of the New Balance 1080 and have liked all of them, but this version (v10) does not measure up. It is uncomfortable and the design of the back is poor. The sides of the back rub on the ankle and leave a scratch. Unfortunately, I didn't discover this until after I wore the shoes, so I am unable to return them.

I did not know that New Balance could make such a horrid shoe! I have very high arches. The shoes crushed my feet from the top and with the stupid elastic running across the top, there is no way to loosen the shoelaces to make the shoe fit a high arch. No, there is no arch support whatsoever. The insole is too flat. The shoes also are ridiculously tight in the heel. They don't rub, but they literally *crush* the part of the heel where the Achilles tendon attaches. I went out in these for a 1-mile jog to test them. I was limping after half a mile and gave up. Been buying New Balance for almost 20 years and never ever had a problem like this!

I was skeptical about the back heel piece. That was actually comfortable because it flared away from your heel and ankle so there was nothing to rub. The problem was the inner elastic that goes around the middle of your foot wrapping your arch. It is so unbelievably tight that within minutes of trying it on my toes had pins and needles. Loosening the laces did not help because they don't control the tightness of the elastic. I ordered two sizes and it happened even in the bigger size. And I don't think ordering a wide would make a difference since the part of the shoe that gets wider in a wide width is the toe box, and the toe box was already pretty roomy. I was very disappointed because I loved everything else about this shoe: the cushioning, the color (lemon slush!), no seams rubbing on my toes, it was all awesome. Not being able to leave my living room with them on without my toes going numb was a definite deal breaker.

I wanted to like these they were cute but there was a seam or a hard bump in the arch on the right foot, felt like a rock so I sent them back and got another pair of the 1080-9’s
