This sneaker felt weird. I felt like my heel was dipping lower than the front of my foot. There was also a ridge at the back of the shoe, it hit right in lower heel. Absolutely love the color, unfortunately the shoe comfort is a total bummer. Returning!

I have a narrow, low volume foot so ordered these in a narrow. They felt snug but not too snug when I first put them on. I took them out for a run anticipating the pillowy cushioning I thought they would provide. Wrong!! My feet and toes hurt horribly after the first couple of miles, n places they had never hurt before! I experience plantar fasciitis on occasion and am beginning to develop a bunion on my right foot but that was the least of my problems in these shoes. My left toes burned and had sharp stabbing pain and my left heel and ankle ached. And this was a flat surface, easy, 4 mile walk/jog...nothing strenuous. I had been questioning if the shoe was too tight and maybe I should get a regular width (which I have never worn before, especially in a New Balance) but now I am sure that they are simply going back to Zappos. Thank you, Zappos, for letting me really try them out! Your 30-day run policy is the best invention ever!!

I had the predecessor to this model which was a much better fit. The toe box and mid foot on this version seemed a little snug. My feet feel uncomfortable on any run longer than 5 miles (which is most of my runs.) Disappointed but not surprised; model updates on running shoes are always a gamble.

I have a high instep, and though most of the shoe is stretchy, there is this line of stitching at the bottom of the laces that is not stretchy at all. I could barely get the shoe on, and when I walked in it I could feel my circulation being cut off. For someone with a lower instep or who doesn't wear a narrow size, it might fit better.

I went to the 1080 to try to find something similar to the NB Beacon. They look similar but the fit on the top of the foot was tight. I prefer the relaxed fit with the laces of the Beacon to the tighter 1080. The yellow color was beautiful and I was bummed that the fit wasn’t comfortable to me.

I loved my 1080v9's in double wide. Version 10 doesn't fit the same, though. My pinky toe gets pinched in these.

I've worn New Balance for years, after having spent many years in Asics, then Brooks. Even with slight variations in style from year to year, I've always been able to wear New Balance. They changed too many things this year. The foot bed feels good, though it seems narrower than previous years (and I wear a wide). The material across the top of the foot is stretchier than before, which makes it comfortable and breathable, but is thin enough to show every bump in your feet. The worst part though is that they've attached the tongue of the shoe to the sides with elastic straps. This makes them fit tighter. For people like me, with a high instep, it makes it hard to get the shoe on, and then the shoe rubs across the top of my foot. Full disclosure: I put my own orthotics in, but that's never been a problem with fit or comfort before. I had to cut the pieces of elastic on either side to be able to wear the shoe comfortably. If they continue this style next year, I'll have to look at other brands.

If you need an extra wide shoe, this is a good bet. I always get my running shoe 1 size up and I need a wide shoe because of a tailor's bunion, but these were actually wider than any wide I've tried on. I gave style only 2 stars because when you look down at your feet, they look like a duck's feet. LOL. Seriously, that's why I noted that they're great for anyone who needs a very wide, comfy toe box.

I switched from Asics to New Balance due to my supination and have been very happy with the Fresh Foam model until this year. I have a high arch and the tongue of the shoe is attached so there is pressure on the instep. I wore the shoe for an hour and my feet still hurt 3 days later.

True to size for an athletic shoe, but this one is weird feeling! Like a speed bump under the ball of the foot. It is a very cushy style, with soft foam, not the firm kind - just that curved up forefoot that messes it up.

I've been using this shoe since early versions. I've run multiple marathons in it, but they have changed something that makes it uncomfortable for my high arch. I change out inserts for orthodics so not even the wide will work. Alas, I am back on the hunt for a new favorite- trying Hoka wides for now.

Run a bit smaller than previous years in this style. I would order 1/2 size up.

Bought these shoes in mid February and I’ll admit it was the look and the color that attracted me to the shoe. Out of the box, they were extremely comfortable, soft in the heel and the wide enough in the toe box without being too wide. I bought them more for walking as I can’t run/jog anymore and feel like they let me down in the support area. My Brooks offer a great deal more structure for road walking so these became my everyday shoes until a couple weeks ago when they started "popping" every time I took a step with my right foot. Call it a pop or a click, each time I step down on the ball of my foot, it pops. I don’t know if there’s something in there that broke but it’s irritating and it’s loud enough I’m ready to chunk the shoes and find something else. Love the comfort, love the look but can’t deal with the noise.

The foam sole is super comfy! The heel is kind of tight. All in all they're fine so I kept them.

The side is so high under my ankle bone that it is painful and I can only wear them to walk for 5 minutes or less. I have tried everything I can think of to make them work but still can not wear them. Other than that they are really nice shoes and I like the roomy toe box.

Okay, so I liked the look of these shoes. But it's very tight and the tongue stitching hurts the top of my feet, especially my left foot. I'm very disappointed. I was hoping I could use it for work since as a nurse, I'm always on my feet. But I don't think this pair will work. Too bad.

Extremely narrow. I am typically a double wide, ordered, and couldn't get my foot in. Had good.luck with other new balances, but not this style.

Due to the "stay at home" order we have been walking every day and need new shoes. I have been wearing the New Balance 1080WB8 shoes that have been perfect for me. Unfortunately NB no longer is selling that style. I chose the NB 1080v10 because I thought it would be a similar fit. I wore it for several days and the fit was perfect and the footbed was comfortable however the instep of the shoe was putting pressure on the top of my right foot. The pain was intense and I realized that the shoe is different from my other ones. It is so nice that Zappos allowed me to wear them to figure out if they are the right ones. I am sorry to have to return them.

I wear a wide shoe, sometimes 7 1/2 and sometimes 8. I have a wide toe splay, and high arches. The shoe is a little difficult to get on, but the cushioning is very comfortable. For some odd reason, these shoes hurt the top of my feet just below the laces, even when I lace loosely. I always wear NB athletic shoes, and this has been the first time I've experienced this. Also, as others have mentioned - they really do make your feet look gigantic and the colors (I think) are meh. It makes me feel a little clown-ish when even my children notice my shoes. I would have to say I'm disappointed in these shoes, especially considering the price tag. But again, cushioning is very comfortable and support is good.

I thought this shoe was comparable to the Hoka One One Bondi and it defineily isn’t. It has support, but not nearly as much as the hoka. I ultimately returned it and will buy the Hokas again.

I bought this because I needed a shoe I could fit my insert into for plantar fasciitis/high arch. BUT with this new style, they made it into more of a slipper shoe style. It no longer as a full tongue, it is 1/2 of a tongue with stitching across the top. Loosing the laces did not help. This cuts into the top of my foot causing pain when I add my arch support in. :( The previous model is/was much better for arch supports.

For all its bells and whistles, I really wanted to like this shoe, but it was way too soft and too flexible. I'm a runner and have bad feet so I am aware of my feet more often that not -- this shoe did not give good support and ended up cramping my feet instead of "cushioning" them. I thought perhaps I'd ordered the wrong size and went up 1/2 size, but even that did not work. The price tag is for its design - for this is indeed a beautiful shoe! - but not for its function. I'll be returning these (thanks Zappos's return policy!)
