Too clunky looking. Front part turned up in a peculiar way. Made your feet look huge.

I can’t quite place it but my feet always hurt after wearing these. Possibly due to the minimalist cushioning everywhere but the sole but even after doing a long run it felt like I was running on cinderblocks. I ordered the wide with felt great in the toe box but too wide everywhere else.

I have a narrow foot but these were too narrow for me. I tried both narrow and medium widths and neither one worked. They are also way too shallow to comfortably accommodate my orthotics. Disappointing because I liked their style/ look.

Completely different fit than version 9! I thought they might feel better once broken in but they are worse. Please go back to version 9!

I could not fit my orthotics in there even with the inserts removed.

I have a super narrow foot and high arch. The 2A shoes fit the narrow part perfectly, unfortunately the tongue was stitched into the shoes across the highest part of my arch and it bruised the top of my foot. Wish they would’ve worked! Would be great if you had a normal or low arch!

Great looking shoe, but uncomfortable. Rubbed and irritated my heal as I walked. Felt too narrow in the toe area.

It’s like a body glove fit for my foot, and I don’t like it. Where is NB’s terrific arch support? Inches of flat cushion don’t replace that! Your engineer shoes, NB - you are not Skechers!

Compared to the v9, these felt weird. The heel drops in the back now so it felt like I was rocking when I was walking. I think if Id kept them, I'd end up with a hamstring injury.

I rarely write reviews but these shoes were so awful they warranted it. I am usually a true size 8, medium width. When I first put these on they felt a bit tight - noticeably narrow - as I tested them walking, jogging, jumping around the house but they felt close enough to good I thought maybe that was just a negative first impression - or that maybe I'd need to order up half a size. I then sat on the sofa for 20 minutes with my feet propped up on the coffee table, and at the end of those 20 minutes my feet had lost circulation and felt like they'd been squeezed in a vice. I have *never* before put on running shoes that made me feel like my feet were going to fall off just from sitting, but these did just that. These shoes are clearly way too narrow, and I've never been so eager to send a pair of shoes back.

I have been wearing New Balance running shoes for years, and I should have paid attention to the reviews that commented on how narrow these shoes are. I have worn them for about 15 miles of fast walking, and the footbed is much more narrow than the footbed of the 680s I have been wearing. They are causing issues with both my toes and my heels. I purchased these for the additional comfort offered by the soles, and ended up having issues with the shoes being too narrow. I am very disappointed. I typically love my NB shoes, but these just missed the mark on the fit and overall comfort.

I really don't care for sneakers that feel like I'm on a rocking chair. The front of these point upwards and the toebox is incredibly tight. My feet aren't that wide. I feel like New Balance has lost it's way. I've been a loyal customer for years now but looking at other brands once again.

Heel construction of this shoe has changed, and I found it uncomfortable, but also, shoe was too short (this is my normal size or this brand).

I immediately notice how narrow and small the area was where you put your foot in. I couldn't even get my foot all the way in the shoe. I am a solid 6.5 and unless my foot was a pancake I'm not sure how people are fitting their feet into these. They are cute and the sole seems like they would be comfortable if only I could have tried them on. I've always hear New Balance were roomy and comfortable but just not these.

I have been having pain with the balls of my feet, and after researching, invested in the 1080v10. Cushioning felt amazing, so was so excited to have a great power walk. Unfortunately, 2 miles in, had to go barefoot as the back was cutting so badly into my foot and creating blisters. Disappointing and definitely returning.

These are my second pair of fresh foams. I loved the first pair, but these are killing my feet even after a month. The right shoe has rubbed a sore on the top of my foot and after a 12 hour shift, I usually have to remove the right shoe on my drive home because the top of my foot is burning.

The fit was good, but after wearing outside one time I noticed stitching on the tongue that hit my high arch/instep was extremely uncomfortable. Since I already wore it outside, I’m unable to return them. They were expensive and I’ve never seen this type of stitching. If you have a high arch/instep I would not recommend this shoe. All I can hope is that it loosens up.

When I first tried them on, they felt great. They did feel a little snug, but I thought it was because they were new and needed broken in. I walked around the house in them for an hour and my feet started to hurt! My big toe rubbed on the sideof the shoe and my foot was wider than the shoe, which made it feel like I was walking on the seam where the rubber edge met the top shoe material (even though I did order these in "wide.") I have bought way cheaper shoes in the past that have been way more comfortable. I even tried my orthotics in them to see if that would help. Didn't work :( I will be returning these today.

I took Zappo's up on the 30-day trial and so appreciate that they do this. I wore them walking and it wasn't long before the notch around the ankles began to hurt. I went further hoping it would go away, but it didn't. Instead, these shoes wore blisters just below both ankles. I don't really think there's anything wrong with the shoe itself, but the way the shoe is designed isn't a good fit for my ankles. Other than that, the cushioning is great and they look awesome. Going back to my Ghost 12.

I run nearly every day and have been for over 25 years. I love New Balance running shoes but this is the first time I had a real problem. The band around the top of this shoe where the laces start is very tight and made differently than all of my other New Balance shoes. My foot is wide so this may not be a problem for others but I am going to have to return them.

I couldn't get my foot into this shoe in order to determine if I like them or not. The tongue area was too tight. Very tight for my arch. I have wore New Balance shoes for over 10 years and haven't ever had this problem. Needless to say I have to return them. I really wanted the style 1080. t

Overall too too tight and narrower than expected even in D width. Cushioning in forefoot was the only improvement for my feet. I considered ordering an EE but decided to go with another shoe. I returned the 1080v10. So many changes to to this shoe since version 8, none have worked out for me.
