They are pretty good shoes. I’ve worn them for six months and I’m happy overall. I am very hard on my shoes because I use them for work and exercise. They are very comfortable. They don’t repel dirt well and have definitely lost some of their bounce. I would recommend them with the caveat that they will only last 6 months.

Very comfortable shoes the heal is a little strange but you get use to it. This is my 2nd pair in less than 3 months. First pair is still in great condition but I have foot issues and when I find a good pair of shoes I buy a couple pair. It has been some time since NB can out with a great pair of shoes.

I absolutely love this sneaker as it is wide enough for my foot and very cushiony which I need for my walks as I have a bad back. The only problem is that it is a bit too long, but because I need extra width I dont think I can go down a size, but i may try a smaller size just to compare.

I love New Balance because I have a extremely hard size to fit. I am a size 13 B (almost A width) and my foot is flat and low volume. I also wear custom orthotics. I have lived in several pairs of 880's and loved them. I had recent arthroscopic surgery and decided to try the 1080 for more cushion. The performance of this shoe is fantastic. However, the shoes will not accommodate my orthotics without discomfort. The orthotic fits in the shoe fine, but the upper is not high enough to accommodate the height of the orthotic. Therefore it causes pain in the top of my feet. You would think the knit upper would stretch enough, especially since I have a low volume foot, but it does not. I have a pair of over the counter insoles that use for racing. I have to use them with the 1080's. This combination works fine. However, i will probably go back to the 880's in the future. I just hope the new modifications to the v10's still accommodate my othotics.

I'm glad to have found a great replacement for my wonderful 1080s. These 1080V10 fit as well and feel great. The shoehorn-like extension of the back heel took a minute to get used to, but works and provides a bit more support.

Looking to upgrade from a 1080v9 2E. The 2E in the v10 is like a vice grip around the toe box. No height and the platform under the foot is much narrower. Moved up to try a 4E and it's still too narrow. The 1080v9 2E fits perfect with a little wiggle room. Not sure what they did to change things, but it's unfortunate for those of us with wider toe boxes.

I run approximately 9 to 12 miles per week on streets. Normally I choose the 1080 because of the narrow fit option. Really liked the fit of the V10. I purchase New Balance running shoe 1/2 size larger than my normal street shoe size. The new heel design caused blisters and discomfort at the bottom of my ankles. I'm trying the 880V10 next.

Got the shoes very quickly and once I put them on, it felt like I was wearing pair of clouds. The fit was great from my feet because I have a wider left foot and the wide option was amazing. Now, the run with the shoes was comfortable and supported my feet enough when I am flat footed (gotta get new set of inserts), but the only issue I have was when I was done running,I developed a small blister on both feet from it because I think the shoes was rubbing more than I thought. I like how the shoes keep me on the balls of my feet and I when I was shadow boxing, I was always prone to be on the balls of my feet and enjoyed the bounce. Overall, great shoes and I'd buy it again.

Great cushion for extended runs. The new design forms to the foot well. However I suggest you order the next width bigger because the shoe was tight. Also the stitching where the shoe comes together by the ankle was hard causing a slight blister. Hopefully it will soften up with time.

Be warned, these size much narrower than the 1080v9 in the toebox. I have a very wide toebox, and I've run in the 1080v9 for the past year. They've fit wonderfully, but they've worn out, so it's become time for a new pair. Of course, I thought, I'll just get these again. Heard about updates to the v10 and figured I would try them. To my surprise, the same exact size in the v10 and it felt like my feet were in a vice grip. The 2E felt like a size narrow, not even a normal, in comparison to the 2E I've been wearing in the v9. I'm now shipping them back and trying a 4E, hoping those will fit, but I'm not optimistic given how narrow the 2E's were.

I use these shoes for short runs. They are well cushioned. Shoelaces could be a little longer. Not the sexiest looking shoe but definitely get the job done.

Used on our treadmill. Difficult to put on; tongue is stitched too far back in the shoe. Black laces on black shoe are difficult to see to loosen or pull tight again. Compared to my old 1080 v2's, these have a much harder foot fall (less shock absorbing), hard on my 76 year old knees! Otherwise the fit is very comfortable, though they seem to run hotter than my old v2's.

Significant improvement over the past couple of poor quality iterations of the 1080. This was literally my last chance with NB and I'm satisfied with the support and quality.

The curved heals on these mean there's no break-in period. I was surprised to notice that the inside of the sneaker has vents, which make them the coolest (in a temperature way) things I wear. Cushy for hard walking the streets of Brooklyn, which I've been doing 5+ miles a day since the lockdown. There's nothing else to do. I got the EEEE width and seemed just a tad narrow compared to my other new pair, the FRESH FOAM MORE V2, which were absolutely perfect width-wise.

This is a fun pair of running shoes and are my go to for daily miles. I've got a little over 150 miles in them and it's been mostly positive with a few small negatives mixed in. Positives -Fresh Foam X has a nice, spongy, marshmallow feel that I love -They aren't too heavy despite the stack height -They're fun to run in -Upper is comfortable Negatives -It's tough to get the lacing right. Too lose and they feel wobbly, too tight and they feel restrictive like a high top sneaker -The rocker in the forefoot is pretty steep and forces me into a quicker turnover at times when I just want to be cruising along. -There's a little more wear than I'd like in the forefoot rubber at just over 150 miles.

This was my last chance for NB after almost 30 years. Quality had gone way down especially with the 1080 line. Seemed as if they would change every shoe I liked with a new, lower quality version. But, this is the big save for me. Much better support and cushioning. My custom orthodics fit well, very good shoe. Please don't change this one!!!

Given the hefty price tag, I was told by New Balance that I could expect at least 600 miles in these. For the first five or so months, with heavy use (I'm also 210lbs), these were the best pair of shoes I've ever had. Extremely comfortable, great bounce, and held up very nicely after consistent 25+ mile weeks. Last week though, I began getting horrible blisters on my arches. I looked inside the shoe today and I was crushed to find both insoles had massive tears in them right where my arches are. Though I felt like I got my money's worth out of these, I'm pretty disappointed that these didn't hold up as long as I was told they would.

I am a beginner runner averaging about 4-6 miles per run. I bought the tempos and I am happy with them, but as I ventured out on longer runs I wanted something geared for distance. I narrowed my choices down to the Brooks ghost and the 1080s. Out of the box I was immediately concerned with heel slippage. Walking around the house it felt like my left heel was slightly coming out of the shoe. I spent some time trying to figure out if it was me or the shoe. I decided to not return the shoe and stay the course. It's been about a month and a half and I'd say I am happy. The heel slippage seemed to mostly resolve itself. So maybe it just took some breaking in? They have great cushion and are made out of high quality materials so I expect these to last for many miles. I think going back I would have looked at the 880s a little closer. My feet are just over 4 inches wide and the regular width shoe fits nicely.

my only problem with this shoe and its seriously noticeable is the top and front part of the shoe where the outer toes are, you guys cut it too narrow. I guess you tried to compensate for the stretchy knit material by making the shoe more narrow so that the whole front upper didn't become too stretchy when stretched out but its been pressing on my 4th and 5th toe. I dont know why you guys decided to make it more narrow when your brand is for people with wide feet. I bought the medium width which has been the same for the past 2years with shoe. Asics nimbus did this years ago and got hassled about it. You guys need to make the slight adjust back to the version 9 width. But everything else about the shoe is great. The new foam feels great too. Its more plush and not stiff.

This is an impressive shoe in the "cushioned daily trainer" category. It feels lighter than expected on long runs, but still has more than enough cushion for daily comfort without a sloppy feeling under foot. I have no problem using these shoes for speed work because of those characteristics. The tongue and heel could both be toned down, but all-in-all v10 has revamped the 1080 line!

Purchased 3 NB online this pair, a pair of 880v10 and a pair of Beacon v2. This shoe fit really well in length and width (15D) and was cofortable once laced up and walked around the house. It became my default option because of issues with the other two shoes; low cushioning and low heel drop on the Beacon and a badly placed toe crease on the 880s. These are way more cushioning than I am used to in my former shoes (Mizuno WaveRider21) a fact that I am still not completely comfortable with yet. Hopefully I get there and hopefully the 880s fit better next time! The Mizuno's never were long enough that the reason I didn't go back.

Love the shoe overall; lightweight and great bounce when running. It is a little tight around the forefront of the shoe; should have bought the wide instead

I average around 25 miles a week due to knee problems, the 1080v10 has given me the comfort, support and cushion needed to run those miles pain free.
