So first I tried a 14 wide because I am a 14.5. They were too small. Exchanged for a 15. The 15's were a little big but unfortunately i felty an awkward pressure on both feet close to my inner heal. Like everything else about the shoe but I trail walk/run daily so will have to try something else.

Due to purchasing a pair of work boots when I was younger that didn't fit, they wore a callous on both small toes. These HOKA shoes irritate those callouses, therefore, I was unable to wear them.

I've ran in my new shoes a hand full of times now. The laces seem to stretch more than I'm used to and I've had to tighten them up even with lace lock. They're right on my foot even though I ordered a wide. I'm hoping once I get them fully broken in I will like them as much as my last pair.

I find this shoe too cushioned for my taste. Toe box is narrow. Prefer the Torrents, though those do not last very long

I never thought I'd buy Hokas and I'm glad I did. I've worn them on technical terrain and even a long run in the Grand Canyon. I've got just a couple of weeks on them but they have performed well. The one very problematic issue though is the tongue. Like a few other reviewers have said, I immediately got cuts on my lower shins from the sharp tongue edges. Higher socks help but not completely. This has to be fixed for me to go with Hokas again.

...for the tongue. I loved these shoes when I first put them on, until my first long hike. They have a rigid tongue that poked into my ankle and gave me a blister.

The back of the sneaker rolls in as you put it on with no way to pull it back out. There is a tab but its not placed for this. You can't lift it up by lifting your foot up a few times either. It very frustrating and a surprisingly bad design.
Otherwise, good shoe.

Definitely not as comfortable at my Stinson ATR’s. I will wait until they have them again before I order again.

I use the shoe to work out in. The sole and the shoe strings are nice but the rest of the materials are kind of "cheap".

Good shoe but too narrow for my feet ( 7.5 wide)...tried an 8 wide but shoe was too long. In all fairness, I am a tough fit and these just didn't work

The ankle opening is not proportioned to the rest of the shoe and hence the tongue (which is coated with fused rubber to a razor sharp edge) cut both feet on first run. Ordered taller thicker socks to try to salvage the shoe because they otherwise feel like I'm running on marshmallows.

I have been a fan from Hoka since long time, but this is the first time that the shoes fail just right after their first 100k of use, the upper layer straight of the tongue started to peel off from both shoes, is not affecting (until now) performance, but for the price and prestige of Hoka Speedgoat 4 is not an excuse, I have the spedgoat 2 they have more than 1000 kms and until now after those amount of use, abuse and racing 5 50 kms races and a lot of long long runs, the outsole is failing after 1000 kms ! kudos boys!!! However the new shine blue/orange speedgoat 4 with the redesigned outsole and upper fail after 123 kms in my first 50k race last weekend on that pair, I have mafate and torrent with more than 500km each and they are fine with the normal use. Please correct the glue issue on the upper layer straight from the tongue on the next gen or upcoming production batch, I can't send back to USA due mail restriction from Costa Rica (I got the pair in a US on-line store) to claim warranty, so I am afraid I have to live with the peel off upper view for wa while.

This shoe is absorbs the shock of trail and street running. However backs of the shoes tore up my heels and they took along time to break in.

I’m used to a more snug, athletic fit. These shoes have good cushion but that’s about it.

Soles don't last long. No good after 180 miles.

I am a HOKA nut! I have seven pairs and I am always looking for another pair that I might like. I think it's important to note that these are slightly more narrow, especially in the toe area, then others like the Stinson ATR. I did return them and I'm waiting, way too long unfortunately because of this darn pandemic, for my replacement in another style

I ordered 10.5 size and if your foot size aligns to wide in Asics or Nike, you should go for wide. I ordered mine based on review on youtube and youtube guy was wrong. I got replacement with 2E wide and it fits perfect.
The shoe is rubbing on my skin at the back of ankle and I was bleeding after a mile walk. I had to fix the part with cobbler. (I'm not really big fan of returns and many exchanges unless the product is way too bad). This costed me $40 but now it feels fine and I'm happy with shoes.
Durability: I had 10miles on this shoe until now. I will update after I cross 100miles.
Waterproof Test: I was in muddy trail and I wished the shoes are lighter. I think shoes did hold well and I'm satisfied with this. but the shoe covers only foot and you will still get water in!
I had plenty of heat in my shoe after walking for 4miles. But this shoe is far better from shoes I used before in this scenario.
I certainly see improvements needed in the shoe.

While their extra width was okay, I missed the extra cushioning of the m Stinson AT5 's they were meant to replace. I returned them for Stinson AT6's and am very happy with them!

It was a great shoe but wasn't wide enough. Both pinky toes developed redness and blistered after a five-mile run. The Bondi's work great for me and I was looking for a comparable fit in a trail shoe.

These are nice, well made shoes, and the fit is good. They are a little too cushioned for me. I find that my ankles and calves start aching because they are called upon to stabilize my foot.
I would only recommend for walking, but not hiking.

I've purchased two pairs of Speedgoat 4s (wides) since the heels on the outsoles of two pairs of Stinson ATR 5s peeled off after fairly low miles on trails. I was delighted with the Speedgoat 4's fit, comfort and traction, but the outsoles have worn fairly quickly, and the heels on the outsoles of my second pair, which I've only worn since May, have begun peeling back. Glue and duct tape haven't stopped the erosion. If you have mis-shapen feet like I do, and thus require a shoe that is wider and with a taller toe box than most other shoes, this is your only real choice, but for what they cost, they really should last longer (at least from the customer's perspective; for Hoka One One, it's a great way to maintain sales volume).

I have had many pairs of Speedgoats 2 and 3. They have been the perfect shoe for me. Unfortunately there was a slight change to the midsole that for some reason causes me nerve pain in my foot. By the time I realized I needed the 3's I couldn't find 14 anywhere. The midsole is slightly more firm than the 3 and 2. Fingers crossed that the softer midsole comes back or some size 14 of the 3's come available somehow.

This is an awesome shoe. Except for the tongue The tongue tapers to an incredibly thin top that hits you directly in the ankle if you wear a short sock so much so that I suffered abrasions to both ankles that caused me to send the shoes back. Exchanged them for A pair of Mafates and they are not much better Hoka makes the best show in running. But these tongues are a killer Wishing for a quick solution as I need my trail runners to be comfy for the long haul. Hope they will fix this miss in the future.

Great support while running -- however the tongue really cuts into your skin if you are wearing no-show socks. Literally bleeding when I got home. Hope this will ease up with use, dont want to have to cut off the top of the tongue. Sucks because this isnt returnable since you dont discover this until the first run.
