These are the most comfortable everyday hiking boots that I have ever owned. They took minimal break-in time; they ran true to size; and started out being comfortable and have only gotten better since then. Unfortunately, Cole Haan has replaced them with a new model, the 4.Zerogrand hiking boot. Those look very nice, and I ordered a pair and tried them out. They are not a stylish as this model, and are not nearly as comfortable, at least for my foot. If you can find a pair of these from some seller, my advice would be to buy them.
I'd also recommend:
I now buy only Cole Haan shoes.

Good fit and quality my only complaint is the boot sits higher above the ankle than I thought.

This boots runs large and narrow. If you have med/wide feet, it would not be comfortable. Lots of room in the toe area. Its a good boot, but justis not made for my son's feet.

It is so comfortable! Definitely a must since it is snowing where I live! Not as weather proof as I thought as my feet have gotten a little damp in them walking through snow. Nevertheless, it was worth the purchase and I will be buying another pair in a different color!

Love the look of the shoe, the only thing I would change personally is one more eylet at top of shoe I prefer them a little more snug at the top of boot. They're comfortable without it but would love to have that option when walking for a longer period of time.

True to size. I have wide and flat feet and they fit perfectly. Good for light outdoor walks but I wouldn't use them for any hikes rather more than moderate on account of not having sufficient grip.

The Hiker boot looks really good in person. The leather looks nice and soft (but not too soft). Unfortunately, the boots a little narrow for my husband. I wish cole haan makes extra wider version.

Nice. But cut big. I'm a size 8 but this size 8 is too big. Be guided accordingly.

These boots are solid and light. However, they just need a bit more breaking in than the similar pair I have "Water Resistant ZERGRAND Hiker Boot" in Java Leather/Tumeric/Cobblestone.

These are fine, good value right now. Fit is same as all Cole Haan. Full waterproof. I prefer the ZeroGrand hikers with the metal rivets, thicker shoe laces and suede tongues even if they were just "water-resistant."

Very comfortable well constructed adding an extra tie off cleats above the last ones would add extra ankle support....

Fit was as expected, comfortable right out of the box, which is saying something for almost any boot! Only downside is that they scuff easily, the toe cap is already worn after less than 10 wears. Otherwise a great looking, good fitting boot.

Great looking and fitting boot but unfortunately they are not waterproof. I was only walking around during the rain and not very deep, yet feet were wet.

DO NOT USE in snow, terrible terrible traction; you will slip everywhere. This is a good boot for light rain.

These hiker boots are nice-looking and appear to be of good quality but are very very tight and made for very narrow feet. I have many pairs of Cole Haan shoes. I bought two pairs of boots this time; the other pair is a bit narrow but okay. This pair, the hiker boot, is extremely narrow and hence rather uncomfortable. I wear size 10 and have a "D" width, which is pretty standard. The size 10 is pretty much spot on. Regarding width, however, I ordered a "medium" width, which one would think is equivalent to a "D" but it is not. I would recommend getting these in "wide" if you have a normal/standard foot width.

Very stylish boot and is very well put together. The downside is that the heel has given me blisters each time I've worn them because the heel cup seems narrow, short and not secure as I walk so there is a lot of rubbing. I felt it almost immediately. I will try and see if I can "break it in". Just make sure you try it on first.

To cut a long story short, as other reviewers noted, these boots are not fit for (winter) purpose, because the laces don't reach high enough. Snow will enter from the top. If you've no snow where you live, they're lovely shoes, lightweight, comfortable top walk in.

There's a serious problem with these shoes. They're supposed to be winter boots, but the laces don't reach to the top, so snow, especially if it's a bit deeper, will come in at the top. It's a serious design flaw. If you don't need them for winter, they're great, lightweight, comfortable, perfect top walk in. But as winter shows, unfortunately, they're not fit for purpose.

Obviously some design flaws with the shoe- it's no wonder CH was offloading at such a low price. Still breaking them in. Decent boot, but the tongue sucks and the laces do not come up high enough to make the boot feel secure. Haven't put them through any waterproofing checks, but they are relatively comfortable having worn them to work/on my feet all day.

Good looking boots but it is quite stiff when new and the tongue a bit obtrusive. I don't think I'd wear it for a long hike and only as a city boot.
