I LOVE THESE WALKING BOOTS. I ONLY LACE THEM HALF-WAY AND THEY BECOME SLIP-ONS. PERFECT FOR SOMEONE WITH AN ACHING BACK.

Comfortable boots . Only thing I have is having to pull my pant legs over the top often during the day .That wouldn't stop me from buying them again . I bought another pair .

Overall great boots in regards to style and practicality. They are comfortable and keep your feet warm. The only downside to them is the tongue. I think there can be improvement here in designing this area of the boot.

Relatively comfortable boots that look nice and keep your feet warm. They can take some breaking in and standing for long periods with them on isn't the most comfortable. Overall they're a little big in terms size/fit but they do the job, look good, and are actually lighter and easier to walk in than most other brands. Would consider buying again.

Lightweight and comfortable, but a little dressier than I expected. They're also more difficult to lace up than my current Timberlands, for a guy born in the first month of the baby boom.

Very well made and sturdy. Need to have a closure at the top of the boot. Boot feels loose without the top without having an eyelet or other closure.

I ordered a size 10 as that is what I usually wear forgetting that cole haans usually run small for me. The 10 was a little tight on the width and a bit small so I returned for the 10.5 which I received promptly. Customer service was great and they are a much better fit. The return was easy at the UPS store. They should be fine with a winter sock.

Great looking boot. Very long toe box, can size down if you have a narrow foot. In fact, i returned mine because I figure I can fit into a 15 instead of my normal 16. These look very long, so the 15 should help.

Looks great, feels super comfy. Issues are: 1. NO traction. If you intend of using this to walk in snow, don't. 2. Up close, the leather looks cheap. Does not show from where anyone else would be seeing your boots, but while putting it I cannot help but notice that it has a plasticky look/feel to it.

Laces are a bit thin and difficult to get a tight closure. Other than that, the boots are comfortable and look great.

I got these for winter walking around the city, they are nice enough to go with most of my work clothes. They are really comfortable, they don't rub on my ankles like some other boots, and I can walk all day in them. my only critique would be the lace latches do not go to the top and therefore the padding at the top sticks out more than normal and so I have to adjust some of my pant legs to go over the top of the shoe after sitting. Pretty minor and will not affect most people. I have seen others with laces all the way to the top. A nice wingtip or cap-toe of this boot would be nice.

I like the boots and they are comfortable, but the color/finish does come off and get scuffed pretty easily.

Surprisingly comfortable. Very light. Cheap laces. I didn't expect flat laces that stretched. My other boots had round laces. It doesn't have the tread of a hiking boot, but I haven't slipped too much in the snow. I gave this the mud and slush test and my feet stayed dry. The boots have survived 2 snowstorms without leaking. I'm encouraged.

I like the boots and how how light weight they are. On the pair I have, the tongue on both boots doesn't fold inside of the boot, but has a little gap which doesn't keep out water or snow. It the tongue were wider at the top, the bootsWould be perfect for thee environment I Iwear them in.

Stylish-- Yes. Hiking boot-- not really. The boots don't have the tread to allow for better grip that you need in a true hiking boot. The boots do a good job of protecting you through the snow, but the treads quickly fill then the boots get slippery. One other note is that hiking boots come with thick round laces not thin flat laces that stretch. I also own zerogrand hiking boots in another color and they came with robust round laces. I contacted Cole Haan to inquire if inferior laces were placed on the shoe by mistake...they instructed me to go to another website and get better laces.Summary-- Yes these are hiking style boots. The tread is not as robust as a pure hiking boot. The laces on the black boots are substandard (given the price point) they will have to be replaced especially if you use alternate lacing techniques. The boots are considerably lighter than traditional hiking boots.I believe that the style lends itself more to casual use then hiking (Oh, I forgot to mention that I'm married to a hiker). I am not convinced that the boots are that durable, but my boots have survived 2 snowstorms so far and my feet are still dry...that's a good thing.

Great pair of boots. I wish the laces went higher to better secure above the ankle. Overall a very comfortable boot and great looking! Fit is true to size.

I haven't worn them out in the elements yet, but they are the most comfortable boot when I tried them on in the house. Waiting for the first snowfall now! Very relaxed and comfortable when walking!
