these are very nice, there is good cushioning--but, besides feeling rather large the arch is placed in an odd way--hitting the side of the foot more than where it should be, and it is very rigid. Unfortunately, had to return.

This boot ran big for the size. I have multiple pairs of Merrell in a size 5.5 but this particular style was too big for me even with thick socks. I wanted a wide toe box but this boot "looked" very wide and I didn't care for that. I knew they were not a smooth black leather but I didn't like the finish either. I wore them around the house for a couple of days and they were very comfortable. Sometimes comfortable and stylish don't go together. Sending them back.

A bit snug without socks. I’m use to boots being a bit loose in order to wear socks. Disappointed as the style is attractive and boot appears well made.

These are the same footbed as the Captiva which I bought years ago and wore out. I also have a pair of the Andover in the taller height. But these were TOO short in height for me! They looked silly with leggings, destroyed my sock game, and left my ankles exposed to cold, so I sent them back.

I've had these about six months. I love the look of the shoes. From my experience I almost sent them back because they seem to run small, I do have a high in step. I usually wear 8 1/2 but I bought 9 and they feel very snug. After 6 months I think they did stretch a little and they are a little more tolerable, however I would not do a lot of walking in them. That being said, for me there was a break in period. Don't let everyone fool you. I wouldn't want to buy them and wear them on a trip without breaking them in. I still wish I went up an entire size up instead of just a half size up. They are very cute though. Where I work I have to go through a metal detector and they go right through without setting it off. That makes me very happy.

This boot provides an inconsistent fit. I first ordered my size a 6.5 in the light brown color: it was 1/2 size too large. Exchanged for a 6.0 in the darker brown color: fit great unhappy with the darker color. Exchanged once more for the 6.0 in the original light brown color and fits tightly, smaller than the other 6.0. The 6.0's were different sizes from each other. Sadly, returning for refund. Third time was not a charm. Might be a boot to try on in the store not trying via mail delivery.

I'm keeping the larger size because I feel, for comfort and fit, I probably can't do better than Merrill but I was disappointed that there's not a lot of "give" in this boot. I'm used to super comfortable Merrills and I guess the waterproof nature of this one means it has to be stiff? Also, the photo is a little deceiving in that it represents a lighter color and also does look a little slouchy, which is what I anticipated.

The size and fit were off - both a bit large. The photo of the boot was better than what i saw in person. They were clunkier looking than I thought they would be, and maybe because they are waterproof, the leather has a different feel and look to it. I considered sending them back (had already sent back a half size larger pair) but over the last few days I'm feeling better about my purchase. I've decided that they will be perfect winter boots - waterproof and big enough for thick socks and for using the stick-on foot warmers. I'm hoping that by adding another insole they'll be o.k. for spring and fall seasons, too.

I'm a bit mystified by these shoes. I struggled to get them on and off, yet once they were on, they felt way too loose in the heel and ankle. Not sure how the geometry of that works, but it's a dealbreaker.
On the plus side, they have a comfortable toebox and look pretty nice.

These fit fine (go the lower half-size if you're not sure) and are comfortable. But they're very low on top--almost not really boots--and since i bought them for walks (sometimes in woods) in the rain, that doesn't really work; a small puddle would likely go over the top. If they were in inch higher, they'd be right for me.

Once you get your feet in, they are great. Maybe they are stiff when new but it is a struggle to get a foot in! The zipper is short, so it doesn’t open much, and the decorative wrap around buckles are a nightmare to get foot in the boot.
