Great everyday backpack for a teacher. Adequate pockets and storage with a professional feel.

For a small bag, it can carry quite a bit very safely and securely. There are a fair number of compartments to help organize contents you are carrying. The water bottle holder is probably the only gripe with it since it only has one. For extended wear, this may be an issue with uneven weight distribution.

I am a heavy business traveler who had a great experience with a prior Timbuk2 bag for many years. Here are my thoughts. The Not Good: (1) The outside pockets could be improved. The top outermost pocket is not big enough to easily fit an iPhone "Max" size phone. If I'm on a plane, I want to be able to shove my big phone in super fast without thinking about it. As is? I have to cram it in. Takes too much time and energy. (2) The outside side entry pocket seems like it's more of a fashion choice than a practical choice. All my stuff keeps falling out of the side. Put the zipper back on top. (3) Give me a simple hook or pocket to attach an AirTag. (4) Ugh! The back strap that's supposed to go over the handle of my wheel bag isn't wide enough! I have a totally normal bag (Rimowa). Make the strap an inch wider and it would slide more easily over the handle. Now? I have to fidget and squish it around to get it to slide on. (5) Way too many straps. Guys - this is a business bag. You market it as a business bag. I am an adult and I am not going into a meeting with the cross chest strap on. I also don't want to have long "tails" of other straps hanging all over the place. Just give me two shoulder straps. The Good: (1) Thick, high quality nylon. If you are someone looking for a long lasting product, expensive Timbuk 2 bags are worth the price. Cheap Timbuk 2 bags (like the Timbuktu 2 Parkside Laptop Bag that I bought and returned in 2 seconds) are an embarrassment to an otherwise good brand. (2) Tons of space. Tons. I could carry four, maybe five, cats in this bag if pressed to. Maybe too much space to be honest. There's a little wasted height if you don't have a 17 inch+ laptop. (3) Good zippers. I am a fan of this brand and I want it to be great. That's why I took the time to write this much of a review.

I bought this backpack for work purposes. I have used Ogio for a long time due to its spacious pockets and room for everything but as the years went on it felt heavy even with simple things including a laptop. Saw great reviews for the TimBuk and decided to pull the trigger on the purchase. I am very happy with this pack as it's lightweight and slim feature. The only complaint I have is when storing an iPad and laptop the sleeve does get pretty tight. Hopefully it loosens up with time but other than that. Perfect for those who want a slimmer backpack and still be able to pack a good amount of work gear.

I carry my backpack to work, so to carry my laptop, cables, wallet, glasses, sunglasses and a mini vanity bag amongst other essentials. I love the three separate sections of the bag! It's got great support and is evidently a high quality product. The one thing I would've liked to see is an easily accessible outside pocket. The one on top is a bit too tight to get things out of. And if you use the one that opens sideways, you run the risk of things rolling out if your bag is laying horizontally on a surface.

I replaced my old Timbuk2 messenger bag with this backpack because of its ability to attach to the uprights of a trolley bag. Wotks great and has excellent interior space. 2 minor issues, first the exterior water bottle holder is a bit small and, next, the trolley strap is tight and takes an effort to attach to the bag.

The laptop slot is perfect. It has compartments and straps in all the righ places. It's comfortable and I'm happy with how it looks. I just wish it had a litttttle more capacity especially in the main pouch. If I could give it 4.49 stars, I would.

Love this light and functional bag/backpack. Outer pockets are safe and very easy to access at the same time. Just returned from a trip and this bag was a real help there.

I have been using this bag for work since going back to the office post pandemic and it's held up so far. Nice organization, sturdy material, good number of pockets, repels water to a degree. A few things to point outthe zippers are pretty average. They feel like they could break after a while but let's hope that doesn't happen. The shoulder straps are short. I'm relatively average sized and the slack is nearly maxed out. Finally the volume. There is some humor in the bag that was originally positioned as a 28L when you expand the bottom but now it's listed at 20L. It's a thin bag and with how it's put together there isn't a lot of room to stretch it width-wise to maximize the volume. It's large enough but would've been nice if the size was more accurately stated. Otherwise, it's a solid bag.

Great bag with small features such as the different materials on the clips to prevent the leather from peeling. I wish that the laptop compartment was a .25 in bigger because the main compartment gets tight with a 16in laptop and a 180w brick. I would recommend having a laptop that uses thunderbolt pd, so you don't have to carry a power brick.

This is such a well constructed bag and it fits so much without being bulky. I use it for work -- I'm a professor -- and it fits my laptop, books, notebooks, and lunch. The straps are really comfortable too. My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because Timbuk2 bags are usually the absolute BEST at internal organization and pockets and I find the front pocket of this bag to be a little inconvenient. while I appreciate that there is a small flap over the zipper on the front pocket to protect it from weather and for security, it makes it really hard to get into the pocket. It also lacks any smaller organizational pockets or areas that most Timbuk2 bags have -- something to separate out a phone or personal items from pens and whiteboard markers would have done the trick.

Purchased this recently to replace an old laptop bag after reading good reviews. Received the order quickly. Bag feels well built, and is very comfortable to wear. Importantly for me, the back of the bag is built to allow airflow, so unlike with other backpacks, I didn't end up with a sweaty back after traipsing through the airports. Carried an ipad, work laptop, and many associated cords and accessories in a nice organized manner. There are two reasons for my four star review - the sternum clip broke literally the first time I went to unbuckle it. TIMBUK2 replaced the clip right away with no fuss, but I still have to go about switching out the broken buckle on the strap. Also, I only used the bag on one trip so far, and some stitching on the top of the bag is already coming out.

Really high quality backpack, would definitely but there is one issue - the shoulder straps keep getting loose, the way they lock their length just isn't good enough. The separation and slots inside the bag are amazing, and the material feels very high quality.

The bag is excellent, definitely high-quality. My only issue is that I contacted support before making my purchase. I asked if the material on the Nightfall version was the same material as the black version. I was told that it was the exact same material. However, when I compare it to my friend's black version, it is not the same material.

Use when I travel for work. The water bottle pocket is a bit too small and I really miss having a place to roll up and strap a jacket to. Just having one water bottle pocket is also a bit painful when you want a quick place to pop your phone and other quick loose little things for airport security or whatever.

Generally like the bag, though the padding and rigidity if the straps make it somewhat awkward.

I love this backpack. It safely stores my laptop, iPad, notebooks, 3 charging cables, calculator, and other personal items without a problem. The material is sturdy and looks nice. I love the overall design of the backpack, it goes great with any outfit of mine. There is a built in hammock type design at the bottom to keep your laptop from resting on the very bottom. The only thing I wish it had was a larger water bottle holding pouch. It does not fit my large reusable bottle, which is to be expected, but it also doesn't fit my pretty regular sized reusable cup. But I just end up keeping my phone in the pocket instead, which works well. Other than that- great product. Shipping was relatively fast. Would recommend.

This is a 4 1/2 star backpack for me. My main complaint is that it's about an inch narrower than ideal; sometimes everything just feels like there's not quite enough wiggle room. The laptop sleeve is extremely tight. But, I can typically carry a laptop, my lunch, a change of shoes, my Kindle, and a few other things. The back and straps are extremely comfortable, and the bag is very well made.

The initial quality of the pack seems very good. The number of pouches is perfect and the size of the pack is exactly what I need. I have one complaint. The "Timbuk2's Lifetime Warranty" is a complete joke. I bought this pack because the prior one I had was falling apart. (It was 10+ years old). They wouldn't repair it, they wouldn't replace it. And sending it back to them to get those responses was on my own nickel. Don't fall for this 'we care about our customers' nonsense.

Construction and look of the bag is great along with all of the pockets. My comments to make it better would be to increase the size of the middle pocket and add a pocket on the other side of the bags so you can hold a sunglass case on one side and a water bottle on the other side gig enough to hold a 20OZ bottle. I do like the bag very much.
