I had the older version of this backpack for nearly eight years and liked it so much that I went out and bought another when it was time to retire it. This version is a worthy upgrade, and I'm inclined to say that I would buy another when this one wears out (likely another 8+ years from now). It's durable and works well for daily commutes or for trips. I think my only "nit" is that the zipper for the outer pocket sometimes snags a bit on the stretch fabric, but that's really it.

Overall really nice backpack that is comfortable to use for work. The only thing I would change is having more padding on the bottom for laptops

Nice backpack. Runs a little small capacity wise and the water bottle holder could be larger to accommodate a bigger bottle.

This is maybe a bit more backpack than I needed- the straps and back are thick and padded and they do fit comfortably but at first, I felt more like the pack was wearing me! I'm only 5'4" so that might be part of it. I think the interior pockets could be better arranged- i can't put much in the zippered mesh pocket if I want to easily reach anything else. As always with timbuk2 everything is solidly built and should last me a long time. It has a nicely understated look that fits in for work and travel.

Provides great protection for my laptop and stayed put on my shoulder even when heavily loaded. Would have preferred a little more room in the main compartment when traveling but for my daily commute it is a pleasure to carry.
The 2 straps on the bottom of the bag don't serve much purpose and I would rather they were not there. Padded top handle is easy on the hands.

I really love this backpack. It feels really well made and looks fantastic. It holds everything that I have thrown at it so far. I wish it was just a tad bit bigger and a few more storage organizations were built-in but these are minor things.

I love the organization and build quality. It's a little bit stiff, but I'm hoping it will get more comfy with use.

The pack is generally what I was looking for in a smaller daily pack. Just large enough to carry what I need (16" MacBook Pro + AirPod Max and a small tech bag. The water bottle side pouch is nice but could have been slightly larger. Holds a 20oz water bottle just fine but will probably lose its elasticity over the years.
To the design team. I know you were going for a very clean design but adding just a few attachment points halfway up the bag or on the sides would add the extra bit of versatility to the bag. This would allow me to attach a small item that doesn't continually slap my butt while I walk.
Overall a nice bag. Lots of organization in the various pockets to store your accessories like power supplies and adapters. The outside pocket is nice for smaller or flatter items to store (Id badge, protein bar).

This is a great backpack, and it looks pretty nice. Moreover, the cushions make it comfortable. However, I don't see why the water bottle pocket is only on one side and the other side is empty, making it inconvenient to carry an umbrella and a water bottle at the same time.

I like the product generally but a couple more outside pockets and an additional bottle holder would make it more useful and less cramped.

Love this bag. Number of pockets are great. Quality is great. Have been using it everyday for work since I got it. The only thing is, I wish the side pocket for cups was a little bigger.

I was surprised by how lightweight the backpack is. Despite being extremely light, it has a solid structure that feels durable. It's also thinner than I expected, which can be a positive for those who prefer a more streamlined design. Overall, the design is excellent, combining both functionality and style.

I was looking for a backpack to transition to from a briefcase that would hold all of my things. The Timbuk 2 backpack I bought did not meet the needs I had and so I retuned it. The backpack was nice and the process for ordering and return was very supportive and easy. I will purchase timbuk 2 packages again in the future, but did not move forward with the backpack..

I work for home and travel often for my job, so I need a backpack that is a commuter, but can handle long haul travel too. In general, I think this is a great bag. I can fit my laptop, tablet, cables, and some other essential like tissues, aspirin, snacks, and sun glasses. My one wish is the bag has a little more or maybe one more pocket because I sometimes feel like it is cramped and hard to get things in and out of the bag.
I would recommend this bag as long as you ain't have to carry too much.

I bought a Timbuk2 laptop backpack about 12 years ago and it served me well but was getting really shabby and the zippers were starting to malfunction. With this purchase, I wanted a similar backpack to carry my laptop (15-inch Macbook Pro), iPad, accessories, pens/pencils, papers, books, lunch, and water bottle to work and for travel. Overall, the backpack is comfy and stylish. My 12-inch iPad barely squeezes into the tablet pocket, which is a little annoying, but I can live with it. I love the laptop pouch and water bottle pouch.
My main issue with this backpack is that it didn't have any place to put my pencils, pens, and Apple pencil in a way that would keep them organized, upright, and easily grab-able. My previous Timbuk2 backpack had an awesome pocket for this within the front pouch. Since I could not find a backpack with exactly what I wanted in this regard, I decided to do a custom modification where I removed the pencil pocket from my old backpack and hand-sewed it into the front pouch of this new backpack. It was a lot of work, but now I'm really happy with it! I also wish the front pouch opened wider, as it is tight to reach into.

Great product. Very compact backpack and fits my laptop just right. My buckle is starting to fade, but that is from putting my bag on the floor. I would have preferred scratch resistant buckle design.

This product offers all the essential features an everyday technology worker might need. Its size is just rightnot too big and not too smallmaking it perfect for daily use. The product is well made.
However, if you're purchasing this product from overseas, be aware that the packaging is not very robust. Mine arrived with a few scratches because the plastic covering tore during transportation. Given the taxes I paid, returning it wasn't worthwhile, so I decided to keep it despite the minor damage. I hope the packaging improves for future overseas shipments.

Great product too small for everyday tech user. The outer pocket is not that much accessible. I ended up giving to someone else and buying the Authority Laptop Backpack Deluxe.

I use this backpack as a daily work bag and a travel backpack. I have loved the organization and durability for the most part. A couple of the interior pockets have frayed and torn, which isn't too unexpected given the extent to which I use the bag (almost daily).
I only have two complaints regarding the bag's design. First, the water bottle pocket is too small. It can fit smaller bottles, but I would love a larger pouch that can stretch more to accommodate tumblers with handles and other large bottles (e.g., Nalgenes). Second, the chest strap rides a little too high for my taste, typically crossing at the top of my rib cage rather than closer to my sternum.
Other than those two minor complaints, I have absolutely loved this bag.

I really like the size and weight of this backpack (so light!). My laptop is 16" and the laptop compartment still has ample room. My only wish is for one more small pocket somewhere (inside or out) for smaller items. Overall- love it!

The fit and comfort of this backpack is extraordinary. The laptop pocket and main compartment are 5 star. So how did Timbuk2 mess up the front pocket so badly? There are two pen holders. They are so tight many pens do not fit and you have to jam a pen in. When you do so, they stick up into the top zippered pocket making hot hard to put things in. No secure passport holder no logical travel document location. Switch the zippered pocket and make it larger. Put a document pocket above the zippered pocket. As it is it is a very good backpack but I am looking for a better laptop backpack.

Comfortable, stylish and seems to be well made. However, it needs more slots for pens and a few extra pockets to put small gadgets

Bought this bag because it looks really nice and has many compartments.
The looks, build quality and many options to store stuff are great. However, I had the impression that it was bigger.
The small capacity of the bag was a surprise because it's length and width are very good, however it is slim and doesn't expand.
