This is a beautiful pack, but, alas, it is too large for me. My bad! I would not have purchased had I checked it out at a store. I will have to give it as a gift or donate to a program that serves a population in need. I am a long, long time customer. < 3

I'm ready to go back to school because I want to use my backpack! I'm so excited to use this beauty in my third semester of nursing school. It's just perfect. Amazing quality, great for organization with its many compartments (and a nursing student needs to be organized). Not to mention it's an attractive bag! You feel good when you look good! I mean business in this bag!

I bought this as a gift for my husband who has been carrying around the same backpack since college (almost a decade). He absolutely loves it. It is sleek and modern looking yet has tons of storage compartments and padding for comfort and protection (his computer doesn't hit the floor anymore thank the Lord). He has been wanting a new backpack for a long time but won't spend money on one. This one is worth every penny. The computer compartment is his favorite, the back and bottom of it is padded like a pillow. It has room for his mouse, mousepad, folders, notebooks, etc... it's very spacious for as sleek as it looks. The shoulders are padded enough to wear it for extended amounts of time. He absolutely loves it. Plus, it doesn't look a mess if it's left sitting in the foyer so that makes wifey happy- you know, happy wife, happy life. Haply hubby is pretty good too :)

I use this bag as a day pack/work pack and even for school.The padded back is more comfortable than any bed. Complete with a grid system that helps keep your back cool.

Thanks to TIMBUK2's top quality products, I no longer have backpack envy. For years I have been on the search for the perfect Saeeda-friendly backpack. I would take random photos of people enjoying their backpacks, wishing it was me. I would post those photos on Instagram sharing with my friends and fans #Saeeda'sBackPackEnvy. They would click LIKE as I continued to search. But now, Lo & Behold, I am free! I now have my 2 favorite TIMBUK2 backpacks and I can't even look at another backpack! I love my TIMBUK2's so much that even when the post-COVID19 commuters return, I'm sure that I will have no reason to have such envy. However, I doubt I will ever get over my other envy, the perfect cup of tea #Saeeda'sPerfectOolongAndGreenTeaExperience.

I just bought this backpack for my teenage son. He destroys at least two name brand backpacks a year carting them back and forth to school on his bike. On average his books, etc. weigh about 15lbs. and really stretch the limits of other brands. I am tired of repairing broken straps and zippers. I have a lot of hope that when school opens again that this backpack will stand up to how well it looks to be made. My son wanted a BIG back pack that looked plain and unassuming. He isn't into any tech looking straps, colors, etc. but, said that this bag would do. He wishes it were a bit bigger, but, I'm glad that it isn't. I hope it can handle the load and that the straps keep their stitching. He has loaded it up and it seems to be okay so far.

Great quality and plenty of room for a daily backpack. Quality is probably what make it feel the best, actually feels worth the price. Unlink many others. Also has an extra bottom so your laptop does not hit the ground.

I purchased my Timbuck2 back pack because it accommodates my portable laptop. I also wanted it because I can utilize packing cubes to fit clothing for travel in the middle pocket. There are multiple outside pockets that are useful for quick retrieval of small item. I particularly like the buckled straps at the bottom of the pack for securing an umbrella. Overall a very well constructed and handsome backpack.

I often stay the night at friends and would need to bring a duffle. With this backpack, I'm able to bring my work and an extra change of clothes + toiletries. Really fits more than you think. My favorite part is the laptop compartment. Before I had a laptop sleeve but I feel the compartment is safe enough for my caseless macbook.

I bought this as a gift for my husband, a professor who also travels internationally. I wanted a bag that had a padded laptop sleeve for his 13-inch MacBook and cover, lots of handy pockets, including a water bottle pocket, and was professional looking. This bag fit the bill perfectly and he loves it! I love the toughtful little touches, like the reflective piping at the cinch straps and key loop. The padding is just enough but the bag isn't too heavy. And it looks very professional. We were in the elevator at our university with another professor who complimented the backpack and asked where he got it. And I'm so pleased that it was made in SF, not far from where we live.

I work as an exec in tech, and love this back pack. I reluctantly replaced my aging Timbuk2 courier/briefcase with this, and am surprisingly very happy. Wish it had a few more pockets.

I love the style and the attention to detail on this Authority Laptop Deluxe Backpack. It keeps my coursework and books organized and neat. Amazinggggggggg!!!!! I just wished the shoulder straps were longer for bigger folks.

The backpack has a great design. Aesthetically it's appealing but I bought it for its comfort. It does a great job compartmentalizing my stuff into pockets and keeping it more dense.. ina. Good way. My old backpack ally he stuff from all my pockets would slump to the bottom and make for a feel like I'm wearing a kettle bell on strap, whereas this new one feels more as if everything is taped to my back and moves with me, instead of in reaction to me.

This backpack is simply a joy. I love the sleek silhouette and clean straps -- no mess of dangling bits and bobs. Even though it's a fairly thin profile, it has plenty of compartments and storage for your laptop, notebooks, pens, chargers, companion animals, etc. Top-notch materials and finish.

I needed a work bag that had plenty of organization and wasn't to bulky. This bag checked all the boxes and it looks really nice too.

I use this backpack for travel--air, car, subway, bus, walking. The biggest plus is that it's lightweight and easy to carry around and has the option of battening down even tighter if need be, so you don't risk hitting others with a bulky bag. A great design, too--has a professional appearance and is well-built.

I'm using it for 2 months now on my daily commute. I love the quick fetch of laptop from dedicated sleeve. Quick pull water bottle. The bag is very beautiful and quite comfortable

I use the Authority backpack primarily for going to the gym. Everything fits perfectly, with absolutely no extra space left. My previous bag was a little roomier, but looked bulbous by comparison. This bag is trim and fit (as I'd like to be after going to the gym). All of the materials appear to be robust, possibly lasting even longer than my prior bag. I'd recommend this bag. I haven't used the bag yet for a business trip, but I bet it would work just fine.

when you make a purchase not knowing if you'll like what you get and when you get it, you love it! This backpack is spacey, convenient, has room for growth (after stuffing all my stuff in from my previous backpack) and can easily attach to my roller luggage when I travel. And the really good news is that as I buy a new laptop each year, I know ahead of time it will fit quite nicely in the Authority, something I could not know with my previous backpacks. I heartily recommend this backpack.

I think they are right. This is a great bag for daily use. It fits my MacBook Pro 15" (I even try two at once and it's Ok), my Fuji camera, a jacket, two pairs of glasses, power bank and some small goods. So this is exactly what I need! It's also looks awesome and has a durable fabric.

Finding a pack for a 17" laptop can be a challenge. The Authority Deluxe strikes the perfect balance for me. It holds my laptop in an easily accessible dedicated pocket, offers just enough additional storage without being cumbersome, and has a side bottle pocket to boot. About all I'd add would be a D-ring on either side of the top grab handle and a couple more on each shoulder strap. You can never have enough of those. Great job Timbuk2!

It is really a solid built and nice bag pack.

As the headline says, I'm not normally one to write reviews. That said, I have to rave about this backpack. Having been a Timbuk2 customer for many years, this may be the most well thought out product I've owned from them. I travel weekly, usually with a 15" laptop and an iPad Pro. Along with those go the accompanying chargers and accessories and a corporate phone...my noise canceling headphones, etc. you get the point. This pack carries it all with room to spare, but the best part is how well balanced it feels even fully loaded. Comfortable on one shoulder (haven't carried it with both straps yet) and rests beautifully on a carry-on with the strap on the back holding it securely to the handle. If I could change one thing, and it's minor, it would be to have an extra pen pocket or two. Highly recommended!
