Shoes look great and fit well. Not as much arch support or cushion as I would like.

I love the look and feel of this shoe and enjoyed wearing them around the office the other day (light and springy step), but when I ran with them at lunch I couldn't get into it - they're light but bulky in a way I haven't experienced before. But I've only ever worn Brook's and they're very different so I may take them out a couple more times to see if I can get used to it. Anyway, I'm very happy with the purchase - at a minimum they're excellent walking shoes.

I love Hoka shoes but these Carbon X shoes are a lot more narrow than the Rincon. Also, each time I have gone out for a run, I have had to stop to tie the laces. I have also done triple knots and still manage to untie. Not sure if others have had this problem. Otherwise, I would love to give five stars.

Stiffer than what I'm used to in a Hoka, since I've been running in Clifton, but great for toeing off to get speed.

I'm still trying to see how much support these shoes give me. I'm a critical care nurse and on my feet a LOT. I do notice the cushion when I walk but my concern is the ankle support. I'm giving them a chance though. Overall I like them.

The shoe is great for added stiffness to support turf toe and arthritis. The toe box is perfect. It is one of the most comfortable Hoka's I have owned. The shoestrings will not stay laced unless I double knot them. I am on my second pair of these, and both of them had trouble with the shoelaces. I have owned ma unpairs of Hokas and no others have had this problem. I would have liked for the sole to have lasted a bit longer, too. I'm not a big person, 120#, and it started giving way a lot sooner than other shoes.

I love these shoes. My legs have been killing me after each run so I was looking for shoes that would completely cushion my every step and allow me to run whenever rather than needing to recover for a few days and these are it!!! Unfortunately after using them a couple times I found that they were too big, so my mom has them now. But I ordered another pair almost immediately :)))) BUY THESE

Hoke One One worked with me to find the best shoe for my neuropathy issue in my foot. Very supportive and kind customer service. They want you to be happy so I needed to try a few til I found the best one. This is my third pair of Carbon X. This style has great toe box and the rocking sole helps relieve pressure on toes. The only reason I am not giving it five stars is that the color I purchased is a little more periwinkle than blue and I really wish they would go back to the laces that they used to have as these fray before the tread is even close to wearing out. Still I will keep coming back to this shoe forever!

I am on to my 3rd pair - LOVE these. I attribute BQing to these sneakers (with a little hard work thrown in!). My only complaint is the laces. Always loosening even with double knots. I find I don't get as many miles out of this sneaker but think I just have to reserve them for racing and train in my Bondi 6 - which by the way is like running on a cloud!

I love the feel of the shoe - slightly narrower toebox than my wider hokas. The shoelaces had to be replaced immediately - I have never had a set that constantly came untied! Overall good shoe - albeit pricy :-)

I liked the weight and the fabric, but the laces are very silky and unties all the time..

A training partner recommended these for raacing. For years I've been a minimalist running show girl - and only wear Altra! - so I'll admit the first time I ran in them, I hated them! My friend swore that it took 3 to 4 runs to "break them in" and it took me nearly 2 months to actually wear them 4 times. But then, magic! I just got back from an impromptu, very hilly, 12 mile run and I absolutely LOVED the ride. I'm so glad I gave them a chance! I could definitely see myself racing in them now.

I am a runner and typically run about 3-4 miles daily to stay fit. These shoes feel great and lightweight on, and also provide good support for my high arches. The only issue I have with this shoe is that it runs small. I tried to deal with the smaller size, but in the end, had to order a half size up to keep from losing more toenails. I have returned the original pair and hoping that Hoka will give me a return on them. Returned them about 10 days ago and still awaiting word.

A friend recommended these for my knees. Nothing is going to help my poor knee except surgical replacement. But as an old person, I found a great advantage in these--they insist you articulate your foot as you walk (no, I no longer run). Most falls occur when people shuffle, fail to articulate their feet while walking. These insist on articulation of the foot. I'm sold for that alone. But oh, the shoelaces. These are premium shoes. Let's have shoelaces to match.

I usually wear a size 9 in ASICS nimbus. These felt a full size too large in the same size. They feel weird when you run like you have bricks on your feet. My knee hurts after running in these. Wish I would have returned. I'm still wearing them because I paid a lot for them.

I love running in these but the laces keep coming untied even after I double tie the laces. Not sure why? I've gone on 4 runs with these and 3 of the runs the laces loosened and even came untied. Would give a 5 if this was not the case! Bought at a running store not near my home, so I can't return.

The reason I put 4 stars instead of 5 is because the toe area feels like it has too much fabric it really bunches up when I bend my foot while walking. They are very comfortable and make my heel feel much better.

I have been running on a treadmill during my 4am workouts and have noticed my speed and distance are thriving. It's so strange but I think the lightness of the shoe help.

Felt great but for me it's too narrow in the forefoot/toe box. I have the beginnings of bunions and found this shoe too narrow around the base of my big toes. I developed some blistering so I'll have to try the new Clifton.

I like these shoes and plan to use them for shorter races such as the 1 mile or 5K.
I'll use my Cliftons for all of my other running.

I really wanted to love this shoe. It's lightweight and responsive. The wide toebox with the lightweight material prevented blisters. But after a couple runs I started developing ankle pain again, which I haven't had since wearing Clifton's. Unfortunately I'm going to have to return them.

I like the look of these. So many of the other Hokas I've bought for comfort are just too Easter-eggie of a look. I prefer a neutral and classic. The Clifton is the perfect shoe for me, but I hated the colors available, so I went with this much more neutral look. Like the look but they are really wide though.

The shoe rubs my right foot so I am sending them back. I have issue where the shoe just hits wrong. Everyone I know loves this brand which is why I tried it. I would try a different style for sure
