Its great for performance

Great fit; snugger than most HOKAs but roomy enough.

Super thin top

I bought this shoe at a Pacers running store in VA. I felt a bit unsteady walking around in them at first, but understood it can take a little time to get used to them. They fit my foot perfectly - very comfortable - so I decided to give them a try. I have since used them for maybe 3 runs in the 10-14mi range and several track practices. Also ran the 2019 Army 10 Miler and lowered my PR by nearly 3min for that race.

I only tested two or three times on the track at the Y. I tripped several times the first two runs - but never fell. The third time - I fell and dislocated one finger - and sprained another finger. I felt lik trying a half size smaller might be a good idea - my hokas have varied in the past size wise.

I'm a runner. I run at least 20 miles a week. I broke up with brooks, my ASICS wore out tread to quick, so I decided to try these. I am in love! Just ran 10 miles today in them and I'm not as worn out as I normally am:) Very Happy feet:)

These shoes have changed my life. I purchased these shoes in each color they come in. My feet no longer hurt. Plantar fasciitis is gone when I wear them. I can stay on the treadmill 20 minutes longer. I wear them all day. My back feels great. Best shoes ever.

The Carbon X have really helped improve the pain I was getting in my Achilles tendon when I ran. They are extremely comfortable.

I am ultra runner and I was just waiting for the perfect shoe which is soooo light that you forget you have laced around your feet.

After trying several running shoes over the years, I think I have finally found my shoe. I am a long distance runner and dabble in long distance triathlons as well. The rocking of the shoe definitely helps propel you foward and helps with form fatigue. I think they are more comfortable than the Nike 4% and still offer very similar benefits while being much more durable. The cushion is fantastic without being overwhelming, and leaves my feet fresh after 20+ mile runs. My only complaint is sometimes I get a small blister on the side of my foot when I wear my thin dry-fit socks.

I didn't ever think I'd spend this much on a running shoe, but everything about this shoe exceeded my expectations! It has a great feel to the road, rolls right off with that extra spring. My third run in them was around 20 miles and I felt great, overall pace and tempo seemed quicker. A very light, quick shoe... can't believe I held off but I wanted to see how others like it.

My wife got them for fitness walking and loves the way the way the carbon plate promotes toe-off.

Today was my 2nd time running in these shoes!! Love love love them!!! Honestly, I feel I run faster in these. Ran 8 miles today and they felt great!! Good amount of cushion, not as much as the Clifton, but so light and breathable!!!

I recently had foot surgery, and have been diagnosed with a short second metatarsal which is apparently quite rare. As I have gotten older and the more I run the more foot pain I experience. I was unsure about how fast or what I was capable of. I ordered them, I ran in them, no pain, felt amazing... did my last 20 miler for Chicago ... Perfectly on pace. I have to say .... I am a HOKA ... LOVER < 3 Thanks for making this shoe! Can you make me a Chicago or New York Edition ;-)

I have been running in the Carbon X for a month now including a half marathon and they have been amazing.

I have always worn Brooks running shoes. However, I decided to give HOKA a try, specifically the carbon X-- due to upcoming IRONMAN training. People said you feel like you can fly and I will be the first to confirm YOU CAN FLY. My first 18 mile training run didn't feel like 18 miles. I am forever converted. These are a must buy. Worth the $$$

Thanks to my Dr, after 30 years of buying shoes that never fit correctly, I finally found the shoe that fits and is comfortable. I've had problems with my feet since I started working as a Corrections Officer and walking on cement for 8 to 16 hrs a day, since 1997. I've spent $1000.00's of dollars on boots and shoes, that I couldn't wear because they hurt. Not to mention the orthotics. I recently had a torn Achilles tendon and ligaments, which I ended up having a complete foot rebuild because I was pronating so bad I was practically walking on my left ankle. When I received my Hoka Carbon X I had been walking only a few days, with a bad limp. I immediately could feel those shoes propel me when I walk and with no limp I might add. I love these shoes. My only complaint is that I wish I could get this same shoe in solid colors and high tops. Corrections has a dress code and that includes shoes. If they came in a hightop in solid black and brown, I could get a lot of Corrections Officers to buy them, as I belong to a country wide corrections organization online. New officers are always asking what boot to buy that would be the most comfortable. I like them because I have a narrow heal and my foot is wide at the ball of the foot and there is lots of room for my toes. This is the first shoe that actually fits my heal. Plus the shoe has such great cushioning.

For group work outs and dance classes. Good support

My daughter 11 runs x country raced today best shoes ever been training in them for 3 weeks didn't want to wear racing flats and prefer these for racing and training never any foot issues no more problems with shoes she has been a Nike Pegasus runner not anymore she will never turn back this is the shoe unbelievable

Worth every dollar. Not to be overly dramatic but I don't want to put anything else on my feet after running in these.

I am in LOVE with this shoe. This is not a crush.. this is not a fly by night romance. This is MY shoe. I only buy HOKA's. Have been for about two years.. they have always been terrific. I run about 6 miles a day so I need a light balanced shoe. So! I received the Carbon X this morning. Tried them on.. fits true to size.. SO LIGHT.. airy. Started walking around... I am TELLING fellow runners.. they have an amazing stride to them. I had already done my six.. but got a little excited about their feel so yes.. had to take them out (FIRST DATE AND ALL). Did another two miles! They almost feel like a gym shoe... no stress to knees and ankles but without the heaviness. GREAT SHOE! I came home and just bought another pair. Like it said.. I am in LOVE!

I'm a 55 yo runner. Mostly like 12-15 miles per week; at a 10:00 minute per mile pace. I put these on out of the box and these shoes felt great. I looked at my watch and I was running at a 9:15 pace.

I bought these on a recommendation from my coach and am glad I did. They are light and springy but feel like you can still put some real miles in. They are roomy in the toebox than past Hokas I have owed, which works great for me! I have bad bunions and did end up ordering up 1/2 size.

Best, most comfortable running shoes I have had. I love that they are so light weight and the sole's curve. My feet don't hurt after going 7 to 8 miles.
