I've been using the Speedcross for several years, LOVE the latest version 5. Lighter and more breathable than previous versions. I use it for winter running, great traction on the snow and feet stay dry with the GTX.

I have been using on the trails, even when snowy and below 10 degrees. Warm and keeps my feet dry. Love them!

Shoes are great! I just got back from some of the muddiest, slipperiest hiking in HI and was ecstatic with the tread and waterproof feature. This is my second pair and will continue to be my go to shoes.

Worn on long walks on pavement and woodland paths. Mostly have cold feet. I don't wearing these.

I am really digging the W version of the speed cross, size to the size chart provided by Salomon. I have the speedcross 4 and was planning to go up a size for my next trail runner, but stayed at the same size for this shoe. I ran a half marathon right out of the box (not ideal, but my old shoes weren't working). They were ready to run in right away. The Gore-Tex kept sand and moisture out for a canyon race. Though I would say that the Wide fit would be considered a totally normal fit and the regular speedcrosses run exceedingly narrow.

I prefer trail runners to heavy hiking shoes, as I tend to move quickly and through steep and muddy trails. These shoes are perfect hiking shoes/trail runners. I recently used them on a 2 week hiking trip. They fit well, are extremely comfortable adn provide great stability and traction.

I bought this shoes a month ago and I am very happy. I walk on rocks and not grommed trails so far so good.

Great shoes but never in my life have I been a size 6. Make sure you measure correctly. I know need to return my pair and hope to get the correct size soon.

Great looking and fully waterproof. Alot tighter fitting then my prevous 2 pairs of Salomon shoes/trainers. You defintley can't wear thick socks. Only tried them alittle. Better on grass than pavements. As they wear down. Defintly look stylish.

I can walk my dog and not have to worry about getting my feet wet, go longer distances, and be comfortable. These shoes have continued to increase my quality of life
