I bought this more than a month ago and these shoes were perfect for in the mud, on icy roads, on snowy trails, there is always good grip! Also, my feet stay dry and comfortable even though I use them around 2 hours everyday!

I'm an avid Salomon shoe wearer. These shorted Salomon have left me feeling amazing. Amazing for the fact that I slay on wet, rocky C&O canal trails during my morning 10 mi. walks. My socks don't slide around or get wet in these shoes. The arch support is phenomenal. Love, love, love this pair of Salomon shoes. I'm slayin' those trails.

This is the go to shoe for trail running or hiking.

These shoes are fantastic! I use them for trail running in snow. The shoes are waterproof - I've splashed through a lot of puddles and my feet stay warm and dry. The shoes have a lot of support. The soles have great rugged knobs for the snow. The insoles are removeable if you use inserts. Could not be more happy with these shoes!

I know Salomon shoes from my Spartan Races . But it was 2 years ago. I bought new shoes for me and my husband for hiking in Colorado! We love those shoes, we were hiking in Black Double diamond steep mountain. Best shows u can dream for hiking. We love them . Great traction and super light and comfortable!!

I love it. Its my second pair. First pair were speedcross 3. But the sole was gone after 1,5 years wearing it. I use it all year around. I use it when I walk with the dog in the woods or just in the rain. Never had wet or cold feet. Because I wear them also a lot on the street the sole maybe run out faster. When this ones get worn out. I definitely get new Speedcross gtx again. I wear them with supportsole.

These are my 3rd pair of Speedcross 5 GTXs and they have always lasted 5 to 6 years for me...I do a lot of trail walking and barn chores in them and they stand up to the abuse of horse poop, urine, etc...;) Only thing that needs attention on these is I wish the tongue stayed in place better and not slip off to one side...

I now have two pairs of this shoe because I kept choosing it to take trail running.

Lightweight with support, good traction and waterproof!!!

These shoes are fabulous in every way. They look sharp, are substantial and have a wider toe box that's predecessor. Good for walking through town and running hard trails. Love them!

They are such comfy shoes and they are impossible to ruin. The backs can get a little torn up after a lot of use but it doesn't affect fit or feel. Awesome shoes and will buy again when I finally have to. They are the easiest shoes I have every cleaned up. All you have to do it scrub them off with warm water and they look good as new. It's worth the extra $20 for the Gore-Tex ones too. I have two pair of the normal speedcrosses and love them but the backs don't hold up as well as the Gore-Tex ones do. Overall they are the best shoes I have ever had and will be buying more pairs.

Great fit, stability in the heel was strong, forefoot portion has too much flex for me had to send it right back. I recommend it if you like some flex in the shoe. I was very disappointed that I had to send back.

Excellent shoe, I find in recent years salomons have run narrower an smaller. I have a wide foot an require a full size bigger.

Though I was initially surprised by the stiffness and cleat like bottom of these shoes. I ended up loving how supportive they felt and the traction they provided on the trail. They keep my feet dry and provide me with more confidence on rocky terrain. Fit was perfect.

These are my favorite SPEEDCROSS shoes yet! Super light with exceptional traction! Perfect for doing light walking to climbing rocky, steep trails!

This is my second pair of SPEEDCROSS 5 GTX W. The first ones are a few years old and though not yet showing much wear, I plan to hit the trails in Utah soon to work on that, and I thought since I liked the purple color so much that it would be good to have a new pair on deck. Be warned these shoes run very large! I wear a 7, which I ordered and sent back for a 6.5; then sent back for a 6, which fit perfectly. I saw other reviews that said they run narrow. I have a wide foot, and the width is fine for me. They just run very large overall, so order at least a half size down if you like your shoes roomy, a full size down if prefer true to size.

I specifically wanted a pair of waterproof hikers that were lighter weight and had some flexibility often not found in hikers. In making my choice I did pay attention to the info on hand, specifically weight and chose these based on those specs. Very happy with the results as they are indeed lighter and have the flexibility i prefer.

Love the color, fit and durability. Perfect for running or hiking.
