This is my third pair of SpeedCross shoes and I'm just as thrilled with the performance of this pair as a I was with my first pair. I live in a dirt road, rainy area and was tired of slipping and sliding on the mud. I shopped around quite a bit and was thrilled to find these shoes. They never slip! Please put this tread on rubber boots for gardening!

Light weight, perfect for all outdoor activities, different than other shoes, I also got couple compliments on them. Worth the money!

These shoes are absolutely the greatest shoes. Where I live there is a lot of slimy mud. They are the ONLY shoes that deal with the traction perfectly. The new pairs give great support around the ankles and bridge of my foot. The only reason I've bought so many pairs is that 1. Fresh shoes are always better for your feet, and 2. As long as these are being made, I will never have to look for another pair of shoes again! PERFECT!

I was a little concerned about wearing these for the first time on a mountain hike. You do not need to break these in. Comfort, performance, waterproof, no slipping on mucky terrain, it's got it all and for a great price! Highly recommend.

I've had a few pairs of SpeedCross' over the years and the new SpeedCross 5 doesn't disappoint! They've done a great job of refining the line over the years while still keeping what makes this show great. It is my go to shoe for hiking and trail running especially when trails are muddy (which is often in my area). The tread is the absolute best I've found for providing grip on slippery rocks and roots, and shedding mud and muck as I run. The fit is comfortable and supportive. I now have these and the OutPulse in my kit and between those two I'm set for hiking/trail running in all conditions. Fits true to size I'm a 7 in most Salomon shoes and the 7s fit perfectly.

I bought these for a Tough Mudder in Avondale, AZ and they were perfect for the occasion. No matter what shoes you buy: water, mud, and rocks WILL still end up in yours shoes in a Tough Mudder Event. However, the tread was perfect for walking through mud. I figured my shoes would be trashed after the event, but I rinsed the shoes thoroughly inside and outside with water and air dried outside and they are perfectly fine to use again. Definitely pay attention to Salomon's size guide. I usually wear a size 10 in regular tennis shoes but purchased a size 9 (according to the size guide) in this shoe and they fit perfectly. I will buy Salmon again!

I have searched and spent tons on all different shoes and finally found it! Comfortable, grippy and best of all GORE-TEX! Ran a 10 mile trail race in the snow - PERFECTION.

This is my third pair, second with goretex. They are good for power walking and running in winter on icy roads and tracks. And v waterproof. But they come at a steep price, and the soles wear down quite quickly. But better that than a slip and a broken ankle.

I bought this late August last year I believe,before my backpacking trip to Big Pine Lakes in Mammoth. I also tryed it in Yosemite this month which is little snow and muddy I'm amaze how stable this shoes is. Best shoes I ever purchased very stable,grips,comfortable and no blisters after a long day hike. I recommend this shoes to my few friends that love to hike and now they own 2 of different salomon,they love it!!!

I bought these a couple of months ago, they are now covered in mud, but my feet are warm and dry - great grip when running through mud

I've owned a number of pairs of Solomon SpeedCross shoes. Hands down these have been the best in snow. Just back from a walk in the arctic deepfreeze we've had here in the BC Interior, (too cold to run) & ice everywhere! I was totally stable, no slipping, 100% grip. I hike with these in the summer too, and the stability is exceptional on all terrain. They run a little more narrow than my other Speedcross's, but they are super comfortable & warm & dry!

I have tried other trail shoes but between the soles and gore-tex these are the best. They are my go-to trail shoes.

These shoes fit perfectly. They are supportive and perfect on the trais and for everyday wear. I love them!

Straight on for long walks no blisters and really comfortable. Waterproof and support excellent.

My 5th pair. Everyone in my household owns at least 1 pair. My running friends live by these shoes. Great support. It is a stiffer trail running shoe, which is great for foot problems: supports arch, bunions, metatarsal pain, can't feel all the rocks on the trail.
