I bought a pair of SpeedCross 5 to replace my much-worn SpeedCross 4s! Whilst they look bulky at first, with a larger heel cup, this does not translate to a bulky feel when worn. The heel sits low into the heel cup, so no feeling of tripping over your feet, or too much shoe hitting the ground. Instead the foot feels well-supported and well-protected - perfect for rocky or muddy trail running. My feet stay warm and dry even on wet ground.

This is a great shoe. I'm a midfoot strike runner and they DO work for that. The waterproofing is the big reason I choose these over everything else in my closet, but I don't typically use them on bare pavement -- that just seems unkind to the tread of the shoe, although it is very sturdy! Saloman, PLEASE make this in wide, like the non-goretex ones! Every woman in my family will want them, then.

Love the support especially since I suffer with plantar fasciitis . I'm a walker not a runner . I can walk 3 to 4 miles in these sneakers without any discomfort...in addition love the fact they are water resistance! Kudos for SpeedCross 5 Gore-Tex!

I bought these for winter street running in New Hampshire. I couldn't do spikes because I run on the asphalt and it's not always snowy/ icy, but I wanted something with extra traction and waterproofing. These are tremendous. They are a tiny bit high around my ankles, it only bothers me if I wear them several days in a row. I like the amount of cushioning and support. More than I'm use to in my minimal summer shoes, but my feet love it. These are my first pair of Salomon shoes, but they will not be my last!

I bought them to run this winter in Colorado. They have been super grippy and warm, haven't had any trouble running through snow patches. Also very sturdy and supportive.

I love these shoes. I already had a pair of red Speedcross 5s and decided to buy a GTX pair for really wet days running on the Pennine moors. Both pairs are excellent: comfortable, close fitting and easily adjustable to a customised fit, supportive, grippy. They offer good protection and I've worn the GTX version in snow and never had cold feet. They have good traction on snow and ice and on grim, slippy mud too. I really liked the Speedcross 4s, but the 5s are, in my mind, a huge step up - the tongue stays where it should be because it's part of the upper of the shoe, and that really hleps if you have narrow feet

Bought this about a month ago and it has preformed every hike. The aggressive tread works great in small snow and mud. The gore-tex feature is reassuring when Screek crossings. I tell my husband-every hike-these are the best shoes I've EVER owned!

I wear this shoe during my snow runs. The goretex does a great job of keeping your feet warm in the winter. This shoe has great traction too which helps get you through the light fluffy stuff!

This is my second pair. I can walk for miles in these. They are truly waterproof as I go across streams at times. Wonderful traction on trails. Thank you!

I LOVE these shoes! This is the second pair of SPEEDCROSS shoes I've owned and I will always keep them in my fleet. The lugs are super grippy which makes them ideal for Nordic ski dry-land training and the Gore-Tex makes them perfect for trail running, hiking, and off-road adventures in all types of weather since they are water resistant.

These shoes are great! They fit perfectly, are very supportive, and are 100% waterproof, even in wet field grass. The traction is amazing. Played football with the kids in pouring rain and had 100% grip

Can't even tell you how many pairs of Speedcross I've owned over the years. And these definitely do not disappoint. I love the Goretex. It's the only way to go in Alaska where the weather is constantly changing. These are my go to trail running, winter running, hiking and everyday shoes. The new Speedcross 5 run big. I've always worn a 7.5, but ordered a 7 after hearing they run big. Perfect fit!

Awesome shoes for snowy trails. Keep feet warms me dry and good lugs for traction.

This is my second pair of Speedcross 5 shoes. Love them. The fit is perfect for my foot--I wear 7.5, with a somewhat narrow width foot. Cushioning is excellent for running and walking. These are waterproof and the design really does keep out all moisture.

I love these shoes, they are very grippy, comfortable and warm. I have a narrow foot and with the lace system they work well for me.

I fell in love with Salomons years ago. They are light, durable and quite comfortable. So many amazing features. They are a little big in sizing. I am 8.5US women's and I have room to wiggle
