This is my first pair of Salomon Sneakers. My husband and I are going for a hiking trip and I started my research for a good pair of hiking shoes. They are beautiful and extremely comfortable . After years of buying uncomfortable Nike sneakers and other brands I decided to try Salomon. I am glad with my purchase. These sneakers are the best sneakers I have ever worn. My husband now wants to get a pair of Salomon. I love so much that I want to wear as a regular sneakers, on the asphalt, but I am worried that will worn out the grips on the bottom.

I think I found the lightweight, waterproof trail walking shoe I was searching for! This shoe is really lovely and sleek in person... I ordered the purple color (flint/black/bellini) in my usual shoe size (9) and it fit great, with the about an inch of space beyond my toes, which is what I need in a trail shoe. Love the sleek design and lack of leather/suede you usually find on a trail/hiking shoe. The fit is really nice for my regular width foot... feels like a warm hug when I put these on. I have a regular width foot and the fit is snug, but not overly so. I need my foot to feel secure in a trail shoe and this is perfect. My heel is nice and snug too, but not at all in a bad way. I am a supinator, so this cushioning and foot support is perfect for me! Yay!! I thought the 10mm differential would be an issue, but my feet adapted quickly. The soles are very grippy and I will have no problem with traction. I like the quicklaces. I was concerned that the thin wires might cut into the tops of my feet, but the tongue is very padded and I get a very secure fit. No heel slippage at all. And you can tuck the end of the quicklace into a cute little pocket at the end of the tongue! No break-in time needed. My feet haven't overheated in these yet and the waterproofing works well. My feet and heels don't get fatigued in these shoes, so that is a big deal for me. These shoes kind of give me a spring in my step, which is kinda fun. I also like the rubber capping at the toe to protect my feet. There is an extra layer of material covering the tongue which will keep dirt and debris out. This is the shoe that has checked all of the boxes for me - comfortable, lightweight, waterproof, cute, grippy... so glad I found these!

Warm trail shoe with great waterproofing and warm to about 20 degrees, even on shoe. Zappos shopping timely, as always!

This is a great trail running shoe. No break in time. I ran in a deluge yesterday and water ran down my legs into my shoes filling them. No problem except the insoles started bunching in under my toes. Now, I understand these Gortex shoes aren't designed to be filled with water. But it's the most annoying things to have the insole balling up. I had to pull them out and carry them the last 2 miles to my car. These would be 5 star shoes if the insoles held up.

I have purchased this shoe before and like the fit and comfort.

I loved this shoe. It fit a little bigger than my first speedcross but with the socks I normally wear it was fine. I ordered these last fall, but only started wearing them in the last two months. Waterproof shoes are critical for me because I walk dogs in all weather, but dewy grass will soak your feet faster and more thoroughly than most rain storms. I hate walking with wet socks. Sure I could wear rain boots but those aren’t designed for terrain I walk. I’ve slid and fallen on more hills and slopes in rain boots that I am worried one time I’ll break something. I loved my previous version of this shoe. When I put this on, I knew it would be even better. And for the last two months, they were. Now I’m not using these for ten hour a day mountain hiking. I wear them an hour or two a day walking on mostly groomed grassy trails in a city park. So imagine how surprised I was when i felt the tell tale coldness deep into my shoe and all the water with it. Needless to say I’m disappointed, well really I’m mad. Luckily I got these on sale, but I feel like I should be able to walk more than 30 miles on grassy trails before the shoes start coming apart. I’m glad this happened before I purchased my next purchase of shoes or boots.

They are a bit tight but as a hiking shoe I think it's important! The arch support is amazing! And my feet stay dry on wet days!

These are perfect for my job! Definitely keep my feet dry too!
