Since this particular design of Hoka does not have a ridged toe box it felt a little long and allowed for some slipping.

I use the rincon for any race I do 10k or higher. The one thing I don't like is how thin the insole is it's like its non existant.

I've been using this shoe in preparation for a half/full marathon. Overall very comfortable, and little break-in time. The Rincon is a little narrow for me, however I switched from the Altra Escalante's, so not having a wide toe box just takes some getting used to. The tread is decent enough for trails. I'm a strength athlete so i'm a heavier runner, but I love these Hoka's so far. I would definitely buy again.

Initial feeling is slightly cramped on the sides, doesn't bother that much in the run though.

This is a fantastic shoe for workouts. The cushion is substantial, yet comes in a lightweight package. This makes the shoe a prime choice for tempo runs. Sure, you could also race a marathon in it. I wouldn't, as that would be a waste of a perfectly good training shoe.
If there is one thing this shoe seems built for, it's handling those hard pickups on your tempo runs, or nailing the fast finish position of a long run. This shoe works so well for that. I'd shy away from using it for daily easy runs as this will make the shoe wear out incredibly quickly. I'm talking like in a handful of weeks. If you train anywhere close to 50 miles a week, you'll have this shoe for a month (maybe two) before it's done.
It's a great option to have in your rotation but do not make this your primary daily trainer. You'll go through it really fast. Hoka, if you can, please do something about the durability, even if it means adding like .1 oz to the shoe. Anything to just get at least 100 more miles out of this shoe. I was able to get 250 out of the shoe, and that was pushing it.

I have been an avid Hoka wearer for many years, and have always been a 15 regular. But in this shoe, my forefoot spilled over the sides of the shoe (i measure to a B on the Brannock device). I wish they had paid attention to scaling as the shoe grew in length, because it was super comfortable, but in a half marathon (why i bought was for a 70.3), i knew the lack of sole was gonna kill me.

Super light and comfortable running shoes, most likely to use in interval trainings than long distance. Con is that if feels a little unstable compared to Clifton, specially on the heels.

This is my second pair of hokas. They feel great, like running on a cloud, but aren't cumbersome or heavy. My only complaint is that I'm developing blisters in places where I haven't before and I'm not sure if it's the shoe (it's never happened in another shoe), a change in terrain, or if my feet are just getting soft (doubtful). I recommend them and recommend them to my wife. My Mach's were good for about 500 mi. I run about 25-30 a week in these shoes. I don't think there is a better shoe on the market - at least not in this price range.

These shoes are really light, which is the first thing that that I notice. I like the cushion, there is plenty of support. The upper material is good at keeping your feet from running hot.
I would love to see more interesting colors for these shoes. You are probably aware of this, but the outsoles aren't the most durable since I have seen significant tears after only about 40 miles.

I use the product for running on the road. Good and light show like the original Clifton 1 which was the best show I ran in.

Shoe feels amazing, done 2 runs: 10 mile first day and 18 mile 3 days after getting them. Overall shoe feels amazing and responsive. After run #2 the bottom is already starting to shred some and the insoles are awful. On my second run the insoles on both R and L shoe started bunching, they also are very thin. If your going to buy just plan on using your own insoles.
Runs 1/2 size small: been wearing Hoka's now 6-7 years first time had to get a size 10 not 10.5

Light, breathable, stylish, and not overly expensive. I set a personal record for my 5 and 10k in these shoes and am very satisfied. They fit well and were ready for a solid run right out of the box with no blistering. I may purchase another pair before my race in a month( if they ever actually have red in stock). The only downside would be the durability. I have put about 250 miles in the Rincon and it already is starting to loose springy-ness. Otherwise, this is a great shoe!

I am in the military and have spent the last 23 years running and training. I have tried a multitude of running shoes over the years and wanted to give these a try. I bought size 11 and wish i had bought an 11.5 just to have that extra wiggle room as the foot swells with running. I ordered these while deployed and did not get a chance to try on various sizes. I also have a pretty wide foot and at first these seem a little tight in the foot bed; however as the shoe wears in it has loosened up. All in all the shoe is super comfortable and breathable, and i have been impressed with how light weight the Rincons are.

I am VERY impressed! I've been resistant to Hokas because I prefer more minimalist shoes with lower drop and a faster cadence style of running. However, I won these in a raffle and was eager to try for myself. They have become my daily trainer for marathon training, being used in distances up to 12.5mi so far, and they have exceeded my expectations!
Cushioning: I was afraid the big cushioning would feel like running in sand, sluggish and tiring on my legs, but that is not the case. Certainly there is a difference in feel between these and something thinner like a Saucony Kinvara but the cushion has not slowed me down and seems to be fairly responsive on the rare occasion I pick up the pace.
Weight: this is the especially noticeable piece I love. These are large shoes with a lot of cushion but they are noticeably lighter than my standard trainers. That means I can maintain a quicker and lighter cadence.
Materials, shape, aesthetic: all top notch. The upper is soft and light (barely there) yet I feel secure in the shoe due to the (sorta) sunken positioning of the foot within the foam (edges higher than the center) and the really nice flat laces (small details matter).
Durability: yet to be seen. The sole is mostly foam with some strategically placed rubber pads. After 55mi there is noticeable wear . I'll estimate a ~200mi lifespan but we'll see.
Price: relatively inexpensive for this quality. I can buy more of a workhorse (e.g. Pegasus) but it won't feel as it good. I plan to buy another pair or two to complete my marathon training.

I use the shoes as running shoes. I like how light they are and the amount of cushioning. I don't like the thin insole I believe that's what gave me blisters. If I tape my feet I have no trouble with blisters.

Done 10Ks and some shorter runs with the shoes. It is light, bouncy, breathes well, and all that everyone claims to be. The way the footbed curves up on the edges digged into my foot after 5 miles, but I have a mildly wide forefoot. I would still give it a shot because its SO worth it, too bad it didn't work for me. Would buy again if a wide version is released later.

I wear Hokas because they offer awesome support and stability which helps the arthritis in my foot. These run a little larger than the Clifton 4 and Bondi 5 styles that I have purchased in the past. Besides that, a great shoe.

When I put this shoe on out of the box, I fell in love with how light and comfortable it was. I was looking for a lightweight shoe that I could cycle into my marathon training and this fit the Bill. My only disappointment was the lack of durability of the shoe. Compared to my other shoes, I only got about half the mileage out of these shoes (~250 miles versus ~450 miles). The foam on the bottom gets beat up pretty quickly and does not wear very well. This could be a perfect shoe if it were more durable because I really love the shoe otherwise.
