My first Hokas after years in Brooks and Saucony. I got this as a daily trainer hoping it would be versatile enough for everyday use and it's *almost* there, but honestly you should use something like the Cliftons for long runs. I'm not the kind of person to own more than one pair of running shoes at a time, but might be worth the investment. I have been having a bit of ankle soreness in these on my longer runs which didn't happen on my old Brooks shoes. But this is an excellent shoe, responsive yet soft, fits like a dream, but best to pair it with another for more versatility in training. Like others I have noticed the outsole material wearing out faster than I would've expected. I run on fairly smooth dirt trails in these with some road running as well and it's fraying quite a bit. I don't think it'll present an issue before my 500 miles are up, but it does happen.

Liked - Good and balanced cushion by the entire midsole, excellent breathability, very light weight and very wide base. Disliked - Very thin (1,5mm) and rough insole, decrease a lot of confort and caused me blisters, narrow toebox and it would be more durable with a little more rubber in the outsole.

I normally run on trail with minimalist runners, but signed up for local half marathon and thought it'd be a great time try out some maximalist runners. Bought the Rincons, which arrived rather quickly, and I was impressed by their look, fit, and level of comfort. I wasn't able to race in them due to COVID, but they held up well during training. Personally I think they're a bit too soft, but I'd be interested in seeing what else the company has to offer, especially their trail/hiking shoes.

This product it's really lightweight. The only issue is running the feet run forward .

This is the first Hoka I've tried and I love this shoe, with one important exception. It is to narrow in the forefoot. right after they arrived I did a 10 mile run in them and they felt wonderful except for the narrowness. Make them a bit wider and this would be the perfect shoe for long runs for me

Bought the shoes a month ago, and have logged over 50 miles in them. They provide great support, don't feel too heavy, and are overall a great shoe. I have used it on roads, hills, and trails and overall the show has held up, except for on trails the outer rubber sole on the bottom gets scuffed easy, so something just to be aware of. Overall, great shoe and comfortable.

I absolutely love these shoes. It's been years since I've been able to run the distances I've put on these. My one problem is the outsole wears out way too fast. Honestly just one or two more pieces of rubber would turn these into the G.O.A.T.

I have worn the Rincon for the past 6 months. Incredibly comfortable on long runs. However, I need a new pair every month because the bottoms wear out faster than any shoe I have ever worn. Wish Hoka would manufacture with more durable striking pads. After 3 runs the pad in back falls off. Still love running in them though.

I used to be a very avid runner that swapped endurance for body building style training while taking a break from running. I looked for a light training shoe that I could just put some miles on in order to get back to running distance. The shoes are awesome despite the durability of the exposed foam lower. The only issue that really bothered me about the shoe was that when I ordered true to size they ran about a half size too big. I did order a different pair because I do think the shoes are high quality but I suppose that what you get when you order online without having the chance to try the shoes on.

My only issue was re sizing. I originally purchased a size 10 based on my Hoka trail shoes and the Rincons are about a half size too big. I figured this out after an 18 mile run. Anyone need a pair of Rincons, size 10, Oyster/Blue?

Bought these to race a marathon in. Quickly became my go to. Super light and airy. Usually run in the arahi but these are too fun. They do get torn up pretty quickly otherwise they'd be perfect. The PRs you will run in them make it all worthwhile.

I have not worn them yet, but the fit was good and comfort was immediately noticeable. I will send in further comments once I wear them out doors.

I use this for all distances from 7-26.2 miles. The shoes are very light. This is good, but the trade-off might be durability and wear. Time will tell. Unfortunately they are a little tight around my big toe and I have a nasty blister there. Not sure if it's the shoe or not. I moved from a Brooks Ghost 12. This shoe is faster for me, but it isn't as well built and I do seem to have sacrificed some comfort. If it fits you, go for it. Fast, balanced and relatively inexpensive.

All I can say is FANTASTIC! ,this shoe is so light and the cushion is perfect! I ran this shoe at burning River 100 changing into a fresh at the 50 mile mark to let the first pair decompress. So comfortable, the only thing I ask is to make a Rincon with a trail outsole. The current Rincon does work well though on buffed out trails that are dry. Please make a TRAIL version of this shoe, then it will be the only shoe I will ever need to buy.

I have the Rincon and Bondi 6. Love both but Rincon is my go to shoe for most runs because of its light weight and well cushioned feel. I wish they would come in Wide sizing too though.. hopefully the 2020 Rincon's will have Wide sizing available.

Great, light running shoe...I've used this shoe for several marathons and lots of speed running. No issues, except it seems to wear out quicker than the Clifton 6.

I purchased this shoe as both a training and racing shoe as suggested by many reviews. After 20 miles, I realized that this shoe would not hold up very long for me. I have high arches and run on the outside portion of my foot. The tread on the outside portion of the sole is primarily foam. I wore that portion the sole down in fewer than 20 miles. Slapped some Shoe Goo on the worn out tread blocks of foam and put the pair away for races. Should get at least 2 races per Shoe Goo application. Trying the Clifton as my daily trainer. I love running in these shoes. Wish the tread on the outside of the sole was a little more rigid.

Some defining stats. I am 73, 6’1” wt 192-195. Fast Walk and intervals, minimum 15 miles per week. Previously a runner in the Hoka Challenger, then two successive pairs of Hoka Bondi.. last one Bondi 6. Age and an auto accident with disk damage lower back and neck compromised outright running. The last pair of Hoka Bondi 6 had about 300 miles on them before noticeable sole and heel wear. The Bondi 6 at that point did no longer provide snug left/ right support.. uppers stretched. Decided to try the Rincon. Very light. Did a minimum 8 miles to break them in. I did not tighten laces to the fullest just for the break in period. I now have 45 miles on them. So far good support, size works ( no stretching or loss of support) I have not noticed any wear yet on the soles. I am a neutral runner..lol now walker. My one complaint is that while the laces snug up very well, loosening them is a chore to get the shoes off. They have a larger than normal loop on the back so I am guessing that was a known factor and the loop an attempt to solve that problem.. That was the issue with the star reduction. I run on concrete and pavement and college tracks... No trail running at my age. Excellent support.

The shoes perform exceptionally well. Their light and quick, yet comfortable over distance. Having wider feet though a wide option would make it a 5-star shoe in my opinion. Hope to see them make this available upon second iteration. Overall would recommend.

Hard to tell for certain as I didn't exchange these, I just returned them. But I normally wear a 9.5 and my toe was at the end of shoe with little room and width was bulging. They felt ridiculously light. Wish it worked for me but I need a bit more width in forefoot.

Solid fit, especially for a Hoka. Not as narrow as a typical Hoka so good if your foot isn’t super narrow. Still not a wide shoe by any means, but good for a standard width or narrower foot. Incredibly light weight! Typical Hoka rocker bottom, but not so dramatic as some other styles. Just enough to encourage faster pace, but not like you’re falling forward. Great for tempo, 10 mile or fewer runs, fartlek, and easy days. Pretty much a good all around road shoe. Wouldn’t recommend for sprint drills, on grass or wet surfaces, or for long runs over 10 miles (due to durability). Could be used for a 10k or half marathon as a racer, but probably too bulky for a 5k or full marathon. Hoka One One Carbon X is probably better for marathon, and Clifton 6 is probably better for long runs. Durability is the biggest issue for this shoe. Lots of exposed foam on the sole, and it was showing wear in less than 25 miles. The rubber holds up nicely, so the foam wear may not matter too much, but it’s good to be aware of.
