I run about 10+ miles a week. I race in a lot of local 5K's and I'm working on my second half-marathon this year. I run in Brooks Ghost 11's and New Balance Fresh Foam Beacon's. I am trying to get my feet in the habit of a lighter shoe as I'm trying to not make my shoe do all the heavy lifting. For my 3rd active running shoe I was looking for something that had a low drop, nice support/cushioning, and a low weight. This shoes hits all the checks mark. Plus it looks fresh and nice. These are my first pair of Hoka's and I think I'm going to come back to this brand in the future. Here's what I'm using each shoe for: Hoka One One Rincon's: races/events of all distances. Half-marathon on under. New Balance Fresh Foam Beacon's: Treadmill training and possible short races like 5K's Brooks Ghost 11 - Recovery Runs, light jogs, or when my feet hurt.
I'd also recommend:

Terrible shoe. I am a marathon runner and triathlete, but these shoes destroyed my feet with hideous painful blisters after a 10km run. (Note; I ran twice 2x 10km to ensure that the shoes were in fact “broke in”.

The shoe itself is EXTREMELY light. The lightest shoe I've ever run in. However, I have runner's knee and I'm training for a marathon. The HOKA Bondi 6 is about 30% heavier than the Rincon (10.9 oz vs. 7.7 oz), but still doesn't feel "heavy" while running and has significantly more cushion for my knees. I was going to wear these Rincons for race day, but have decided to stick with the Bondi 6 for both training and racing. I wear a Men's 9.5 in casual shoes and 10 in running shoes. These seemed a bit long for 10, but I fear a 9.5 may be too short. The Bondi 6 in 9.5 was too short, but the 10 was perfect. I would say the Rincons run 1/4 a size bigger than the Bondi 6.

I'm normally a 10.5, these fit perfect. Super comfortable and cushy on the trail, and gave me plenty of lateral support over small rocks/roots so that I didn't feel at risk of rolling my ankle. Incredibly light, these are a wonderful model for road and light trail use. Hoka rocks.

These fit like a glove, wonderful feeling. I have only run some short runs so far and my knees have not had any pain. These are the lightest shoes I have ever used. I am looking forward to see how they are for six mile and longer runs.

They did not last!! Have used these for about 8 weeks, jogging 9-10 miles a week and the sole is basically gone! ( see pictures), my previous hoka’s lasted 2 years.

Great running shoes. Best in class. The other reviews are not for serious runners. You can knock a fiver in these babies.

Really good shoe so far! They are super cushioned (obviously) but remain very light! I found the fit to be somewhat narrow, which wasn’t a problem for me, but wide-footed runners may have some issues on their first couple runs while the upper breaks in. The toebox is where the narrow fit is most pronounced laterally. The lack of rubber on the outsole is a bit concerning in terms of the longevity of this shoe, and I still haven’t run in them enough to say how well they will hold up. I use this shoe primarily for longer runs, and that seems to be where it makes the most sense. It is cushioned but not so heavy that it fatigues your legs. Light enough to pick up the pace. Being that it’s on sale now, it’s definitely worth picking up and adding to your rotation or making it your new go-to daily driver. If you’ve liked other Hokas you’ll like this!

Fast and cushioned. Great shoes for running on the snow and track even good for sprinting to chase a bear that took my family

I like everything about the shoe! I usually wear a Clifton’s, but find the Rincon more comfortable, more supportive, and just feels less squishy than the Clifton. Hoka One One has a winner with the Rincon!

Been running for 15+ years and these are the best running shoe I’ve ever had. I’m 49 and run 25 to 35 miles per week. My feet were starting to hurt constantly, until I switched to Hoka. I tried Clifton first, and pain went away. But Clifton a little too squishy and slow for what I like. The Rincon was the answer. I’m on my second pair, got marathon and about 500+training miles on this model and I highly recommend. Only complaint is the bottom wears a little too easy.

Fist off I went with a 10.5; normally i am a size 11(with Nike, etc), but 11s in the Rincons felt very sloppy/oversized. The 10.5 feels perfect. I run all my miles on my private mowed grass cross country track and on country roads, but yesterday I ran the pavement at the Garden of the Gods and these things were felt amazing; the best on pavement I've felt yet. Made my Nike Pegasus 36s feel quite awkward by comparison when it comes to comfort. I will have to take it easy with the 5mm drop; I've been keeping runs shorter in these till my achilles and what not get use to them. So far I have noticed some lingering sensations/stretch in that area, so I am rotating these into my runs slowly; but once I am adapted to them I will be be making this a primary shoe. No long runs in it yet, but it feels like it will be good for that, as well. If I could change one thing about them it would be to add some more rubber to the outsole. These things are very light, so a little more rubber on the outsole to prolong their life would be a pro, not a con. I'll get another pair if my adaptation to the 5mm drop goes well.

lightweight with great cushioning, but no arch support at all...shoe insert is as thin as paper, and glued into the shoe...I added my Dr Scholls sports orthotic easily and the fit and stability are perfect...fast, with enough cushioning that your knees will be thankful....will be buying another pair soon

I use these Hokas for work. I work in the Operating Room and I do a lot of walking, these sneakers have made a dramatic difference in my foot fatigue at the end of the day. No more feet aches by the end of the night!

Like the fit of the shoe, using as a female as this is a tiny bit wider than the women's version. Was however disappointed with the insole or lack there of. The insole is more like a liner... and is that thin. Had to put my own in. Right balance of support and cushioning which has been harder to find in recent hoka models.

Interesting combo of light and soft. Maybe a little too soft for fast runs, but seems great for everything up to that point.

Its lightest and the best shoe i have had and trained. Its quick and nice cushioning for the long run. i have already put 50 miles in 1.5 weeks. The only worry i have is the sole and its reliability. The front part is one piece of material stretched from one corner to the other. I have to check after putting more miles.

I opted for Rincons after running in Cliftons for a few months. I find the Rincons to be lighter, just as comfortable (if not more comfy) and better for a heel-striker like me. They're tapered on the heel and I don't find myself scraping the concrete as I run, even late into long runs; the Cliftons' heels were starting to wear away after a month or so. Will definitely be purchasing another pair!

I've had these about a month. My first time with Hoka shoes but am very pleased with the mix of cushion and stability. Most pleased by how light they are. I have three pair of running shoes but find myself putting these on every time now. Not sure how durable they will be but so far much better than another light pair from another manufacturer.

First pair of this brand I've owned and I couldn't be happier. I'm 6'2", 245 lbs and on my feet for 10-12 hours a day and moving around constantly. Needed something with a lot of cushioning that wasn't heavy. These are perfect for people in similar situations.
