I have Hallux Rigidus with a bone spur in my left foot and need the wide width to avoid discomfort (or being totally unable to wear the shoe) . These shoes are just barely OK for my condition. They could have a wider toe box in the wide size. I have found the Bondi model more to my liking as far as width.

I purchased these shoes for work, they are comfotable but I recommend you buy a half size down. I purchased my regular size and now after a few wears they are a little big

The initial performance characteristics of these shoes are excellent. After 30-40 training cycles the ultralight compound used in the shock absorbing sole begins to progressively diminish. From there It's linear and discernable. So value wise a great shoe for a short time. Hence the qualifier "Expensive".

Extremely comfortable and has helped me tremendously. However you sent me an all black sneaker vs the white sole. Thanks

The shoe fit correctly according to the fit guide. The arch is too far back for my feet. This was causes discomfort after wearing the shoes for a while. The curved heel would cause me to feel like I was falling backwards when standing and took awhile to get use to. Overall not that impressed with the shoe.

Just a tad too narrow if you have a slightly wide foot. The extra thick sole is nice, but I wish it was a tad firmer. Unfortunately will be returning. I work retail and am standing on concrete floors for 8 hours, so was looking forward to the thick sole but it is a bit too pillow and will not last.

I have had these shoes for over a month hopping I'd get used to them but have repeatedly gotten really bad blusters on the bottom of both of my feet and that has never happened to me in any other running shoe I have tried. This shoe ok for normal or speed walking walking but for running it has not done the job for me. The Arch in the shoes are really uncomfortable.

I have never owned Hokas but saw these on sale and my son loves Hokas so I took a chance. Nice shoes but the arches were too high for my feet. I returned them.

Clifton 6 are good shoes but they are not that great. I have been wearing them for 2-3 weeks but the fit is not the same as Brooks or ASICS. Over the years I have had many pair of ruining v shoes and so far these are the least favorite. They have good cushion but they are not lighter compared to other brands I have owned. This would be my first and last Hoka. Your mileage may vary. Good luck

This was my 1st Hoka shoes, I was very excited to try Clifton 6 for long runs. However, I did not like the shoes mainly due to fit and comfort. The size length was the same as Nike Pegasus 36 and Asics Nimbus but much narrower toe box. Today I did run 16 km run, got blisters on big toe had. Do consider buying wide shoe size.

I'm a Clifton disciple. I've run on Cliftons since the original. The four "throwback" Cliftons 1 I bought a year ago are all pulverized and new ones are no longer available. I bought a pair of 6's, and wow, what a difference several design "updates" make. The 6's are too heavy (even 2 ounces heavier than the Clifton 5), and they seem to be designed to tear the flesh off of one's foot. Since I'm a sockless runner (don't blame my experience on socks), and a few scratch points come with the territory, but the entire interior (tongue twister!) of this shoe is a nightmare of what feels like broken glass and concertina wire. I'm a true size 10 and I'm aware how to properly lace up - but out of the box and a jog simply around the block I knew that my future would be bloody. There's just no reason for new shoes to physically draw blood in five different places. These are going back today. I love my Rincons, though. Maybe I'll drop $180 for the Carbons to see if they can be my everyday trainer. Dear Hoka One One - please make a zillion more "throwback" Clifton 1s. Even the 2-5's worked for me - I ran thousands of happy miles on them for a decade, and told all my friends about them. The Clifton 1 was the shoe that brought me to you, and these "updates" and flashy forays (like the Edge) are making me want to take our relationship to a marriage counselor. You alienate when you mean to innovate.

After less than 40 miles. The sole is separating from the midsole. Barely any wear and falling apart. For the price these should last considerably longer. These are great feeling shoes but if they don't stay together i will go for another brand.

This shoe is very close to the Clifton 3 in terms of weight and feel, but even the 2E 'Wide' version has a sole that is a couple mm narrower than the Clifton 3. When they specify "Wide", apparently the sole is no wider, only the toe box. I sent mine back to exchange for the regular width. 2E Wide would be great for walking and casual use, but not for running fast, for me. I'm grateful I still have a a pair of brand new Clifton 3s and one cherished new pair of Clifton 1 reissue. I wish they would keep reissuing the Clifton 1s !!! Tip: use a liquid product called Shoe Goo to improve the lifespan of your shoes. It has preserved my cherished Clifton 1s for much longer than they would have otherwise lasted. Also, I see the new Clifton's are getting heavier again. BAD!

I love the cushion and spring in the shoe but there simply isn't enough room up front. Wide shoes aren't the same as a foot shaped toe box ... need a foot shaped shoe.

The craftsmanship is great. They are just not as comfortable as I expect from Hokas. I get foot pain around the balls of my feet.

I probably put about 350-400 miles into this shoe by using it as a daily trainer. I did everything from long runs to interval workouts in this shoe and it did great. However, the one issue I had was that the inside of the shoe was unbearably uncomfortable for longer efforts. There is this rigid piece of foam sticking up on the inside of the shoe that the arch of my foot rubs against. This issue prevented me from using the shoe as much as I wanted to because I needed to let the blister on the arch of my foot heel before I could use them again. Please get rid of that rigid piece of foam along the arch. The shoe is great otherwise and I would love to get another pair with a more comfortable arch.

Arch support is significantly more pronounced than my other pair of the same shoe. I immediately felt uncomfortable pressure against my arches when I put on the new pair. I compared how the new shoe felt along the medial insole compared with my current shoe (same generation - just a different color), and the difference is readily apparent - the new pair's arch support extends further toward the center line, and/or it may be slightly higher; it's difficult to be certain, but it definitely feels different, and in my case made the shoes unwearable. Be forewarned these may not fit like the pair you already have or tried on at the store. I've never seen such variation between two pairs of the same shoe.

Heard a lot about these shoes from my running friends that run long distances. I felt the support was comfy and the shoes are lightweight. I liked the fact these had the unusual 'rocker' feeling to propel forward. But after about a mile in them, my toe started rubbing really harshly against the toe box. I don't have wide feet and have always been able to run comfortably in regular width shoes.

Tried initially in usual size, dropped a full size and still too big. Dropped another half size and length is ok but it’s super tight in the toe box. Also do not care for the excessive cushioning. Not the shoe for me with relatively narrow feet and toes sensitive to pinching, prior neuroma, and having used very little drop shoes for the past five years. Of course ymmv as this is just my experience

I needed to update from some beat down Brooks Glycerin 15. The new Glycerins as usual are totally different from the last iteration and didn't work for me. I tried these and they were way too mushy for me. Knee pain and shin splints on the run. Grateful for Zappos guarantee that you can try out running shoes and return. If you want a LOT of cushion check these out.
