I had these shoes for maybe two weeks before the front of them ripped and now there is a big hole in it. Up until then I really enjoyed the shoe and it really was comfortable and a smooth ride. But I wasn't too happy when they ripped on me. I'm not sure if this is a common thing with the shoe or a bit of a rare instance.

There is something about this shoe this time that makes my right leg not feel quite right. Its my right knee and my left ankle. This morning I ran in my old hokas (Clifton 1) and they actually made me feel much better, there was no pain.

Really like this shoe. But unfortunately it's not for me, iregularly run 6 miles a day. So of course hokas cushion is what I was looking for to save my knees some. I bought these Clifton's in a wide cause I have a larger foot and they are still too narrow. There is something in the design of the shoe like a band that runs directly in the midsole region and its brutal on the middle/side of your foot. I made it about 2 miles and knew immediately that I had to return this shoe. Stinks because I like them and the plush. Maybe great for other folks but watch out if you got larger feet they wont be for you

The first pair got lost en route and after calling Customer Service (who are incredible and deserve 5 stars) notified me that they would send me a new pair in a different color as my first color choice had sold out. No sweat. And then these things showed up. To quote Kurtz, "the Horror!" These abomination of a Clifton variant were wholly unwearable. The rail separating the upper from the outsole can be felt in the inside of the arch at each step. It takes one person to put their hand inside the shoe to see that this is a horrible design flaw. Maybe it's just a defective pair but these things are a far cry from the Clifton Ones I loved so much and just re-ordered.

Interesting you asked me for another review...I am training for a marathon, needed good shoes, was recommended Hoka's. I got the shoes and ran twice on them--one 8 mile run and one 14 mile run. At the 10 mile mark on the second (14 mile) run the heal pad separated from the bottom of the shoe and I had to drag it for the remaining 4 miles. I asked for and received a full refund--and have already completed a satisfaction survey once. Not sure why you keep asking me how satisfied I was. Last time I submitted you responded with a thanks for being a long time purchaser (I only purchased the one pair that lasted all of 18 miles) and never acknowledged my dissatisfaction. A lot of people swear by Hoka. I had a different experience.

The reason I returned the Clifton 6 is because the tongue was shortened and it seems as though the side walls on the Clifton 6 were lowered as well which made the shoe fill not as snug. Felt like I was going to come out of the shoe.

The Clifton 6 is not the Clifton we all know and love. It has been completely redesigned.
A new pair, size 11.5, arrived from Hoka today. I immediately noticed it was very different. Upon trying it on I could really tell it was a different shoe.
I drove to the local store where they fortunately had a Clifton 5 in my 11.5 size. I tried it on and felt right at home in the shoe I've known for so long. I made the purchase.
Before I send the Clifton 6 back to Hoka I have taken some measurements to validate my observations.
The Clifton 6 is:
7mm longer in an 11.5 size.
The footprint is 8mm narrower at the forefoot and 5mm narrower at the heel.
The heel cup is 10mm shorter.
The tongue is 15mm shorter.
The forward facing reflectors have been removed.
The rear facing reflectors have been reduced significantly.
The toe box is more pointed and feels restrictive.
My two biggest observations about the Clifton 6 are
1. The heal has a more vertical design rather than a forward cupping design. I've always had issues with heal slip and previous Cliftons have always been fantastic about keeping my heel in place. The Clifton 6 is sloppy in the heal.
2. The Cifton 6 no longer has the signature rocker sole. The shoe sits flat to the floor with no rocker at all. Wearing the shoe it feels like a traditional shoe.
I'm not sure I would even call this shoe a Hoka anymore.
I'll try to buy up some old stock and hope they fix this shoe.
I feel sad.

Leave the regular fit from the Clifton 2 or 3 and don't mess with it
