The shoe is great and has nice, plush cushioning, making it a great daily trainer/long run shoe. But, it's definitely a bit unstable because of the high stack, if it was just a bit shorter I would be happier. Also since this is Hoka's main daily trainer, I wish there was more rubber for durability in the midfoot. I understand the need to reduce weight, but I wouldn't mind a bit more weight for more durability. I sized down from my usual size, I don't know if this is the correct choice for everyone but I tried a size 8 in store and felt too much heel slip to be comfortable, so I ordered half a size down.

I wear them every day at hospital , there are awesome. The problem I have is they wear out quickly, may be I had a bad pair. I will give them another try.

These things are incredibly cushiony, but in a way that doesn't feel unsupported. I've put a decent amount of miles on them and they're still holding up. The issue I have is that they do not fit my feet very well and I have some running issues on the medial part of my arches. If I tape up my feet in these hot spots they seem to be alright. I wish they fit my feet better.

I've been using this as a daily trainer... I'm under 100 miles in it and it is starting to show wear on the outsole... it seems much better than the Bondi 6 which I cannot wear because they were horrible for me.

I'm a long time endurance athlete (triathlons, running races, etc.), 30 years, and for the past 10 have been running in New Balance light weight trainers. Since I turned 60 two years ago my running has been on the decline (age of course doesn't help!), but also I just felt more tired during and after the runs. Based on the experiences of my many running friends I bought a pair of Hoka Clifton 6's and within the first run I could tell that these were making a big difference. My dead legs were due to not enough cushion and shoe under my aging legs. I've run three months now, 2-3 times a week, 5-7 miles each run on average, without my orthotics, and I couldn't be happier. My legs don't ache during the runs, recovery is much quicker, and I'm running happier and longer than I have in over two years. The only change has been the shoes, honestly. I look forward to buying a pair of trail shoes soon too to get in some longer back country runs.

I do like these shoes. They are cushy, and I can go long distances without any leg pains. I switched to these from another brand because they changed the heel to toe and starting causing calf pain. There's one stickler with the Cliftons though. The seam where the tongue is stitched in to the shoe has excessive material, and rubs raw spots on the top of my feet. I've started padding between my foot and the tongue to alleviate this. Also, I have wider feet, and feel like the footbed might be a little narrow. Other than those 2 items, I would recommend this shoe as a long distance runner. Sizing wise, I had to size down a half size from my normal running shoe.

I run an average of 18 miles per week, the energy return on these shoes makes them a great option and they provide a comfortable ground feel even on gravel.

Probably the most comfortable athletic shoe I've had in some time. Lots of cushioning. Will likely buy more Hoka shoes in the future. Kissing Nike goodbye.

Was training for my first half in some Brooks Ghosts and went to a more Saucony Trimph Iso and started developing shinsplints. I purchased the Cliftons on a whim a half size up from my Brooks and I will never go back. Once the arch softened up these became my go tos. Super soft and comfy. No feet pain or soreness during runs. The forward momentum I get from the rocker has me tackling hills with ease. Down for life will not get another shoe. 4 stars because it could be a little more breathable.

I've had at least one pair of all the Clifton models and the 6 is the best all around. Softer than some of the recent models but a better upper than the older softer models. Only downside and it's minimal is it could be a little lighter. Looking forward to alot of miles in this shoe.

I've been running in the Clifton since they came out. The 6 is really a nice ride as compared to the previous model year.

I bought this shoe in a size 13 based on the recommended size to me on the site, I also bought a bondi 6 in a 13 wide because it was recommended for me. After less then 10 miles in the shoe, some of the material around the toe box started separating from the upper. I just shipped them back in exchange for a size 13 wide. Not sure if it is a size issues or not.

I liked the progression on the Clifton 5 as opposed to previous models, I'm really liking the 6 and waiting patiently on the word that the race day reds are back in inventory so I can add to the rotation.

Love love love the Clifton, but this version is 1/2 size longer. I've seen same comment in other reviews and several people just accept it as a new version feature. However I'd like to see Hoka keep length sizing consistent. Unfortunately ripped them out of the box for two runs before I compared to older version and saw the discrepancy.

I use this shoe as my go to recovery shoes, and long runs because of its cushion and support that it gives, it allows me to do more mileage. I love upper material of this shoe, the longer I run it doesn't create that much of a hot feeling around my foot hence it also allows me to enjoy and focus on my runs. Lastly, the only thing that takes away the 1 star is width of the forefoot. But overall it is a great pair of shoes, this will also be my racing shoes for marathons.
