I got these shoes because I was in market for a low drop shoe with considerable amount of cushioning to address my persistent calf pain. I think that the switch really worked along with some stretching and rolling.

This year's Clifton 6 doesn't change the formula much. I've noticed a slightly wider toebox. Other than that, Hoka One One hasn't changed a lot. Which is fine by me.

The feet are happy! I'm confident in saying these are the best Cliftons yet. While not as light as the C1, the build quality is better by leaps and bounds. I had hot spots while wearing the C1's, with the C3's being my favorite until now. These are not as roomy as the C3's, but lighter and with an improved upper. Time will tell on the durability, I've got less than 10 miles in these so far....but the cush is back & the feet are happy!

HOKAs were the shoe that enabled me to run down my excess weight without killing my joints. I was a Bondi loyalist during that time due to maxed cushioning. But now that I'm right in my ideal weight zone, I'm pushing my cardiovascular health and need to be able to kick up the speed. The Bondis now feel resistant when I push. So I tried the Clifton 5s that simply didn't cut it for me. I tried 3 other variations, all returned (thanks HOKA!!). These are my perfect shoe. Exactly the perfect amount of cushion. Exactly the perfect tension throughout the upper with not a single point that feels different. Good stability. Best looking pair as far as I'm concerned too. My knees, back and hips don't even become sore after my long runs. I'm only about 50 miles in, but they are so far holding up very well. I'm likely to buy 5 more pairs. They're that good. Also, I have Morton's neuroma and my toes don't go numb even after 10 miles, which hasn't been the case in over a decade.

I wore the original Hokas in 2011 and I liked the plush cushioning then, but the uppers had some toe box issues.Unfortunately the shoes began getting more firm and narrow after 2013. The Clifton 6 (Wide) is the best Hoka ever made in my opinion. It has a soft and very comfortable upper with a nice soft plush midsole. This softer midsole is a big plus. Also the tongue is well padded and does not cause any discomfort on top like other models have for me and best of all its wider. This is the first Hoka that has all the things I need from a shoe. I just ordered a second pair from a retailer. Its perfect, don't change it.

Received the new Clifton 6. First impressions: well made with much attention to details. I ordered the wide (2E) width. They were a bit tight trying them on for the first time. Toe box seemed somewhat small. Took them to the gym to give them a break-in run (I do not wear sox when doing this to allow the shoes to conform to my feet). After about 10 minutes on the treadmill, I could feel them starting to loosen up. At 20 min, they were at what I call extremely comfortable. Will I buy another pair in the future? Absolutely! I really like the light weight and the comfort the Clifton 6 provides...

A good friend is back and wider ! took the Clifton 6 for my first 5 mile run yesterday, this is the Clifton that I expect after using 4 pairs of the Clifton 3 which I need to go half size up since I have wider foot, didn't like the hard Clifton 4 and got blisters and hot spot on both foot on the Clifton 5, so this one feels like heaven , I got the wide, upper feels good and roomy, the wide feels a bit roomy for me, will probably try it with thicker socks but no complain, the midsole feels like Clifton 3 or better, softness is back, no break in required, if you like Clifton 3 this one is for you, Thank you Hoka, will probably get another pair.

I decided to try the Clifton 6 because I wanted to check out what I thought was the novelty of Hoka shoes. Turns out I love the Clifton enough that it's become my go-to shoe in rotation. Felt a little narrow when I first tried it on, and it also ran half size long for me so I sized down. The smooth cushioned ride is what sold me though. After the first 10 miles or so, the fit is amazing. Supportive, not tight, not narrow feeling at all. It's just right, and very comfortable. Support under arch and entire foot is dialed in. I'm using a Currex insole for a little more custom fit, and it's improved the Clifton even more for me. The solid and soft ride inspires confidence, and after a run, fast or slow, my feet and legs feel no aches or pains. I'm definitely impressed.

With much anticipation... Today was the Day! What excitement, I received my Clifton 6 this afternoon. And then took a casual walk around the local lake, of course. They fit to measure while giving my walk an ease of motion. Anyway, digging the black/black Clifton 6 heat. Keep trekking on!

Just got my pair and did a smooth 7 miles. The ride is great, soft and plush. The fit is AMAZING, slightly more accommodating than the previous versions which is a huge plus. I had to size up in the previous version and these were true to size.

These were my first Hoka purchase and they were comfortable. I'm not a runner so I can't speak to that, but my second pair of Hoka's were the Bondi 7's to which I felt were way more comfotable than these.

This is the best I have worn. I have been wearing ASICS gel and Hoka shoes for a while for my runs on concrete side walks and roads ASICS they have best fit feel around your feet but the sole is not like Hoka cushion, but fit feel isn’t good for HOka and Nike and new balance are ok like ASICS But brooks is right in the middle and the best one which has fit feel and the cushion The best I have worn that’s my personal feeling

I went from these (Clifton 6) after 300+ miles to the 7s but was very disappointed in the lack of cushion in my opinion in the forefoot. I'm a mid foot to forefoot striker when running and just couldn't get past the feeling of a lack of cushion in the forefoot area. I put in approximately 200 miles before I decided to go back to the 6s and haven't looked back since. Very lucky to have found a pair of 6s on your site. Honestly I really tried to like the 7s but they just didn't work for me. Looking forward to another 300+ miles in my current 6s and seeing what improvements or new color waves in the 8s when they're released.

First I have to say I'm a mailman walk around 10 miles a day that being say The shoe is super comfortable but I tend to wear my shoes on the outside so it's wearing out a little faster than I would like also I wish you guys would make an all black shoes in wide that goes for the Clifton six and seven

I have had 3 knee surgeries and I still find running to be a valued part of my life and exercise routine. Hoka has helped me do that with less pain. I had a pair of Cliftons 2 years ago and the last year went back to a trusted brand I had used in the past. I am back with Hoka this year for their comfort. Other brands are also quality but Hoka has provided more comfort with quality. My Hoka's last, stay comfortable, and take a mixed pounding of on-road / off-road use. I have narrow feet with a high arch. The only reason I gave the Cliftons a 4 star is because they bite a bit in the arch where the sole meets the sidewall material. Other than that great shoe out of the box and will last for many miles.

I recommend this show for anyone that has flat feet or plantar fasciitis. Unfortunately, I will have to return because they are a tad too small. Will purchase again.

I run three times a week about 4 miles plus each run. These shoes are comfortable and do not absorb heat in this Florida weather.
