This is the shoe my husband and I have been running in for years. It's changed numbers several times, but it's still a great shoe. My husband started wearing it to run when he got plantar fasciitis. He then recommended it to me. We do, however, use an insert called PowerStep to make it even more stable. I'm now 58 and my husband is 57 and we're still slogging (I mean jogging) along. If you have foot injuries, shoes matter! This is a GREAT shoe. I hope New Balance never does away with it.

I have flexible somewhat flat feet and need a supportive shoe with a lot of room across the forefoot. Over many years, New Balance shoes have been the only ones that consistently fit me well. As I've aged and started having a lot of foot pain, I tried several other brands during the last few years looking for more cushioning. Although the other shoes initially felt okay because of the cushioning, none fit me as well or provided the support I need as well as this pair from New Balance. No brand other than New Balance gives me a good fit in the forefoot - this pair fits me perfectly! They are comfortable and my feet feel much more stable.

I walk everyday and often participate in 5K's. I wore my first pair of New Balance for years and finally decided it was time to replace them. I've had plantar fasciitis and wear an orthotic insert. These shoes had enough support that I probably wouldn't have needed the insert. They're great, and I'm pain-free.

This is the only shoe I can wear as it is the only shoe I can find that in a wide is wide enough to accommodate my large orthotic. It is very comfortable. I use one for golf, another for pickleball, and a third for every time wear.

I have flat feet that have widened since giving birth. I also have a varicose vein in my arch and pronate. These shoes enable me to walk far without pain. Love them!

These shoes are extremely comfortable and supportive. I am walking farther than ever and exceeding my fitness goals! Plus, I really like the color of the shoe laces and the shimmer of the silver on the shoes when the light hits them just right.

I have arthritis in both my feet so I need a shoe with lots of support. I have found that my doctor-made orthotics placed in a shoe with a rollbar is the best combination for me. I will never buy shoes that do not have a rollbar.

This is the most be comfortable walking shoe ever. My foot feels cushioned and snug yet it feels like floating on clouds with each step.

I have a bunion and a foot that was a club foot when I was born. Needless to say, buying shoes is a challenge. I have found New Balance shoes offer the best support for my feet, and the New Balance stores and online staff are extremely helpful. I wear my shoes all day, so they get quite a work out; the New Balance shoes last me just about a year.

This is my 3rd year of wearing 1540s. While I'm no longer running, I do walk 6-8 miles daily. I find my 1540s to be comfortable and supportive to the extent that I am confident that I won't roll an ankle on uneven terrain. This shoe holds up well.

I am a nurse and this shoe keeps me on my feet all day. Total comfort. I bought the shoe because it was made in USA great quality. Thank you for providing jobs here in US. I will only buy made in USA.

I wear these every day, both for strength training and just walking around. They are the most comfortable and long lasting sneakers I've found that accommodate my extra wide feet and orthotics.

I suffer from plantar fasciitis and this shoes has make my walks much easier. There is little or no pain when walking with them. Thank you!

I'm using my Sneakers daily including for walking about 4 miles a day. The sneakers are very durable, and have great support. I've been wearing these type of sneakers for about 10 years now. Never been disappointed. I always go to see Dorian at Shore Footed.

This is similar to my first NB shoes after an auto accident that crushed my foot. My orthopedic recommended it for me after having the cast removed. I have pronation issues and this shoe corrects my walking. I really love this shoe and will be a return customer.

I enjoy the comfortable fit of the 1540v3, which also provides excellent support. The materials seem to be very high quality.

I have quite flat feet & also have had plantar fasciitis in both feet. Last year I didn't buy this version of the shoes & though they were okay, they help my feet as much as these do. I was so relieved to get the right shoes on my feet once more!!

These are well worth the money. Best supporting shoe I have ever had. I can walk with no pain.
