I love this shoe. Wide width fits me well. The stabilizer helps me walk longer with no pain. The only issue was the 6 month wait for them to be in stock.

My husband has been buying this particular show for the last 5 years. Always fits perfect everytime. Doesn't need and time to break it in.

A comfortable shoe, love the roll bar feature, great for ankle support

Work with my big orthotics even though they are only a Wide, not an Extra Wide. Comfy.

Used every day for my walks along with everyday activities. Getting these shoes took over 5 months. Supply issues due to shoes being made in Vietnam and being hung up by delivery issues. Just wish these along with other NB shoes were made back in US.

Congenital flat feet requiring orthotics. This style shoe with rollbar makes walking comfortable.

I have bought probably 15 pairs of these shoes over the last few years, they really help me with stability and are super durable. It annoys me they aren't going to be made in the US anymore though. I feel like quality will suffer now, and I'm not really happy about that. O hope I don't have to find a new shoe, because they ruin them by not making them here anymore.

The Shoes Fit Perfectly, the Quality is Great. I have issues with my feet but these shoes feel sooooo Very Comfortable and at a Good Price.

Use for long walking and extended standing - great - cant imagine as a running shoe but I'm not a runner. I really like this shoe. My feet don't hurt after long period of standing and walking

But I can't find my size 12 or for that matter I can't find this shoe anywhere!!! When will this shoe be available again?????

2nd time I have ordered these for my husband who has a bad foot. Most supportive and comfortable shoes we have been able to find. Recommended by his foot doctor

WIDE FEET no problem, HIGH ARCHES no problem, MAJOR SUPINATION or UNDERPRONATION no problem, HEAVIER ATHLETE no problem. These were my problems. I used to go through shoes like nothing. No shoe could last longer than a year with me especially when walking a lot. Finding a shoe that met this checklist of problems was harder than finding the holy grail. Then came the 1540's.. For the most part it had checked off all of these problems. I couldn't feel any better. It wasn't too stylish but it was all about the comfort. I wasn't sure what made it work but the combination of the rollbar and encap does work well together. However, I do have 1 suggestion for NEW BALANCE. Please make an all black one that I can use for work. THEN, I would be a true true fan.

These were doctor recommended for PLANTAR FASCIITUS and within a few steps I knew these were THE ONES. The shoe has a tendency to roll the foot forward and in so doing alleviates tendon strain and I was able to resume normal milage. If I tried my previous brand, I was experiencing pain within a minute or so, thus proving the superiority of the V1540's.

They are comfortable walking shoes in the summertime.
