Great running shoe. Rollerbar is fabulous for those of us with stability issues. 10.5 Wide..gone... nothing available since last year around this time. I keep waiting, but stock isn't happening. The 990s..sure...all available in all sizes/widths. This isn't a supply-chain problem. It's New Balance either phasing out this model, or not caring. So...that's all, folks. I have to find a replacement. My knees can't take the 990s anymore, so I'm off to one of the several other brands out there. Also, the lack of communication about this change is offensive. I've been a New Balance customer for more than 20 years.

Excellent cushioning. Excellent stability. Super wide, as I like it. Great for running, and for walking.

This shoe is fantastic. I have back issues as well as plantar fascitis And this is the only issue that's comfortable for me!! I just recently discovered it and now I find out that it's discontinued. The pairs I have were made in Vietnam and they're wonderful . Please bring this shoe back new balance!

This product (1540v3) offers the best support and comfort for my daily walk averaging 2to 3 miles on different pavements. Of all the major competitive brands New Balance is what my podiatrist recommends, and he's absolutely right.

Please start making again in USA. I loved them 1540 what's up

Running, weight training and cardio. Overall good supportive shoe.

I have used these as my go to sneakers when my left foot is bothering me. This pair was just to snug. There was not any wider ones in my size. In fact there was not much to choose from on the New Balance site. Such a disappointment.

For the people that pronate, this is the shoe for them!

I use these shoes for walking. I usually walk three to four miles three to four times a week. My feet feel very comfortable with them. I get the support I need from them they are stylish too.

These are my go-to shoes. I have been wearing these for years.

I use to buy Nike sneakers and My son told me to try New Balance which I did.My son is right ever since all my sneakers are New Balance.You can feel it to your self and it long last than the others shoes

Have been wearing 1540's for many years. These are one of the few shoes that I can wear that actually feel good on my feet the fit and support are excellent

I have relied on this shoe in all its iterations since it was introduced. I am a big guy and an orthotic wearer. The shoe fits well, is durable and provides a great ride. I'm counting on NB to continue producing this model.

I use my 1540 v3 principally for running 2-4 miles every day when I wake up. I purchased them in September 2020 and it is now December 2021. The pair I purchased in 2020 say "Made in the USA. "The pair I just purchased also say "Made in USA" but the labels from the box say "contains a domestic value of 70% or greater" whereas the New Balance website says as of April 2021 they are no longer Made in the USA. The December 2021 pair looks exactly like the 2020 pair. In 15 months (probably 750 miles of running) I had very little deterioration of the tops of the sneaker (the webbing is just starting to tear in one little spot). The soles are worn on the sides of my (the rubber is worn off) sneakers. That's why I decided to buy new ones. I am very happy with September 2020 pair I purchased. This new pair looks fine. I will write again if they are not. Many of the reviews I saw for this sneaker on the New Balance website are awful. They almost scared me off but I am happy I bought another pair. I have flat feet and my podiatrist strongly encouraged me to buy these running shoes because of the roll bar. I purchased size 9.5. (a few years back I tried both 9 and 9.5 on at a New balance store). I normally buy size 9 in other shoes/sneakers. I put a large orthotic in the sneaker that my podiatrist got for me. The laces are the only thing that really fell apart during the 15 months.
