I use this shoe for walking, light running, working out and travel. Very stable, comfortable but a bit heavy compared to fresh foam models I've used. But all around s great shoe for many uses, fits true to size.

This is a very comfortable walking shoe. I walk 3-6 miles maybe 4-5 days a week. Very stable shoe, with good support. As a side note, I always replace the insoles of my shoes with the Sole insoles, which add more comfort and support for my high arch feet. One of the most comfortable walking shoes I've ever owned. For me, worth the price.

New Balance is the best shoe for my feet. The sneakers are light but sturdy. The added roll bar provide excellent support for my feet and helps lessen the strain on my ankles.

Total experience from purchasing the shoes to receiving them and quality of the shoe is top notch. I have foot and toe issues and a few years back my foot doctor recommended 1540ve New Balance shoes. I had purchased the same shoes a few years ago from a local shoe store when I went back to get another pair of them the store stated that they could no longer get the exact same shoe and directed me to a different but similar shoe which I purchased (although what I really wanted was my 1540v3) I decided to go online directly to New Balance to see if I could find them. I was very glad to have found the exact size; color of my previous shoes and received them within a week. Thank you New Balance for making this whole experience easy.

I only buy the 1540v3 because they fit the best for me. Even thou they are made in Vietnam now and not in the USA they are just as good. I fine there more comfortable because of the EE wide you can get them in, and they do last if you take care of them. Yes I will buy them again. Plus you do get what you pay for, they are very good shoes.

The 3rd version of this shoe continues to have extra heel cushioning. This helps minimize lower back pain for people with this problem. It is a well built shoe, and is reasonably priced.

I take a large size shoe 15 4E. The 1540v3 is a perfect fit and very comfortable walking and yard working shoe that accommodates my daily activities. I have worn these for years and was so glad to see them back in stock.

Form the moment I bought these shoes it changed my life, I even wore them out of the store after I bought them. They are absolutely comfortable and totally supportive. You can really feel the ENCAP that's in the heel of the shoe. They are stable yet flexible. Words really can't do this shoe justice, find a store nearby that carries them and see it for yourself. I will never buy a different shoe in my life. I'm a little bummed they no longer make these shoes in the US, but, it sounds like it was a COVID casualty. Regardless, I highly recommend this shoe!

Model 1540 was recommended by my foot doctor for its stable construction, deep heel cup and arch support. I have used this model reliably for all purposes with great results (exercising and daily wear). Ordering online from New Balance has been an easy and pleasant experience.

I always purchase running shoes for comfort and daily use. These are very comfortable and perfect for running even for just going on a walks. They are lightweight and stylish.
