These shoes give me the best support for my overall flat feet and happen to last my a good while. Personally for me I always buy these about every 2 years so I'd say they last a good time since I wear them everyday.

I have no arches and hammer toes and the 1540 works perfectly for me and it doesn't roll. I've waited for these to come back into stock.

I wear them every day and my feet do not hurt. I wish you still carried the high top hiking boot/shoe with motion control as I wore them for several winters and need to replace the and I need a shoe that has the motion control bar

My second pair, per MD's order. It has been very comfortable walking 3 to 5 miles a day.

This is my third pair of 1540v3. Cap heel puts pressure away from the arthritic side of my foot. Bought this pair because my second pair was showing wear on the top fabric.

Great shoe!!! I use them for running, hiking, and weight lifting (free weights). I like the added stability from the wider sole and roll bar, especially when hiking over loose rock scree. I was a little put off when New Balance moved the shoe's production outside USA, but from a quality perspective I can't tell the difference.

The New Balance 1540 is the best supporting shoe on the market. Rearfoot stability is enhanced with a stabilizing bar to decrease rearfoot pronation. Midfoot materials are designed to limit pronation, be comfortable and durable. Anyone with moderate to severe overpronation issues will greatly benefit from this shoe. Also fits all biomechanically controlling orthotic devices. I'm a Podiatrist with 36 years of experience and have always been proactive in gaining knowledge of the athletic shoe market. Like I said, this shoe is the best.

Structure. Comfort. Durability. If that's what you are looking for in a long-distance running shoe - this is it.
