Not very durable, or just defective? These got very light use for the first 4 months, largely just going to work and riding the bike. For the next two months we did a good bit of trail hiking, but not enough to wear down the lugs at all. But during that time, both shoes began coming apart at the front. I can typically use a pair of shoes like this for 2-3 years, but this is the first pair I've had that began to come apart this soon.

very disappointed bought this exact pair a few years ago these are nothing like the originals. Very uncomfortable run small cheap. Might be the last pair of ASICS I will ever buy.

Love these shoes. But this pair I just received , already the rubber on the bottom of the shoe is separating from the actual shoe. I have hardly worn these

Heads up: These have an unusually narrow toe area. I do not have a wide foot and shoes usually are a bit wide on me. But the toe area on these is the narrowest, weirdest shape I have ever experienced in a shoe of this type. Others have commented on this too. They may be good for climbing metal security fencing, but not for trail use.

They feel very unstructured. I have ordered them before and forgot that they don't work for me.

Shoe does not offer any arch support , the upper is not flexible and seemed like it was made of cardboard under the material .

I am really sorry to send this to you. I have been buying ASICS shoes for about 15 years. They were always my "go to" shoe. I have a bad lower back and the shoe is critical to me. I have never had a problem, it is the only shoe I've used since I moved here from New York. I am disappointed in this latest shoe--GEL VENTURE 7. The mesh spreads easily and throws me out of alignment with consequential lower back issues. I am constantly tightening the shoe laces (which are much too thin) to make me comfortable ( I am 77yrs old and I need to walk every day to keep me healthy.) Again, I was reluctant to send this, but you've asked me to respond several times. Thank you. martin antonelli

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

Did not last long ~3 months. 12 year old complained about his feet hurting on hikes the whole time. Replaced with hokas and have not had any other issues.

I always order width 4E as I did with this shoe. But it's at most just 2E

I have bought Asics in the past and really like them, but these wee too small and fell apart rather quickly. Poor quality.

Even though I ordered the 4E size, these are too tight as well as being too small (short). The shoelaces included are about 10'' too short, so that's a problem also. I wish I'd sent these back, but they were a Christmas present. These will be my first and last pair of Asics. I can already tell that my big toe will push through the seam in a matter of weeks. I would NOT recommend these shoes. I only gave them an extra star because the sole is fairly springy and would be considered comfortable on a different shoe.

Sorry, I just said the size 9 fit perfectly. I received two pair and it was the 8 1/2 that fits well. The 9 was too big, and have been returned.

Sole support feels weak. Returned product online, and bought in-store Gel Cumulus.

I was very disappointed that the Gel Venture 7 was not nearly as comfortable as my Gel Venture 6. I returned them.

This was my 3rd pair of Gel-Venture shoes, all of size 11 with width M. The first two have worked wonderfully. This one is small in the toe box, like it is about 1/2 size smaller. Uncomfortable to wear to walk in.

Sadly, they had to be returned. They were noticeably smaller than my older Venture 6's (both 11.5's) and the laces were cheap and thin. Disappointing.

These shoes were bought to replace a pair of Ascics Gel 6s which are no longer made however, the toe box is not large enough with my smaller toes not having enough room. The shoes were uncomfortable for that reason alone so, I returned them.

I bought these about 3-4 Months ago because I wear the Asics gel venture shoes for work, I started buying the gel venture 5 model and Then 6,7. I really liked the fit and comfort of the 5 and 6 but, The gel venture 7 is not very comfortable at all. It fits too tight and The Tongue of the shoe is too big and Thick. The gel venture 5, 6 were perfect, I had two pairs of each but, I was unable to get another pair of 6's so, I had had to get the new 7 model. Hopefully they will go back to the model 6. Not happy with the Gel venture 7 series. Another thing is the shoe strings that come on the 7 series are thin cheap old style strings compared to series 5, 6. Hopefully they will reverse coarse back to series 5, 6 or I will not purchase anymore Gel venture series shoes.

Never again. These shoes looked great, the width felt great, I thought finally a shoe wide enough for my wide feet. After some light jogging and trail walking my feet were on fire the whole time, as were my knees. They felt painful and clunky, the over sized heel never let me strike mid-foot on declines, like a modern minimalist running shoe would. The toe box started peeling off the left shoe and the finish of the materials is starting to look cracked and pilly already. So not a fan of the support, the comfort after use, and the quality of materials. Unless you want solely a cheap fashion shoe that won't squeeze your feet, these are not great for exercise.

A step back. After two pairs of Venture 6's, the 7 is a huge disappointment. The platform is narrower. Compensated for fit with a hot thickly padded tongue. Laces are thin as threads - difficult to grasp and cut my hands. Wished I had bought another pair of the old model.

Very disappointed with these ASICS. I have never, never worn any sized sneaker over 11.5. My last pair of ASICS GT2090 were 11s. I still have them but they're starting to fall apart. I got those in 2004/5, don't remember. I was excited to receive these. When I tried them on with socks, they were snug. So I wore them without socks, seemed fine the first time out. After working out a third time my feet started to ache a little. My feet never ached in any ASICS before. I don't know what arch-support means... I've always run in running shoes either ASICS or New Balance. I guess the cheaper ASICS are, well, cheaper... Next pair I will spend more on... I purchased on Amazon. And, what's with these cheap laces??
I'd also recommend:
New Balance, ASICS... only running shoes I've ever worn... Never liked Nikes, Reeboks or others.
