Shoe is comfortable wide fit but the rubber toe piece of both shoes started falling apart after my first hike. Because of this it tends to catch on twigs and rocks so I don't use anymore. I did get 3 hikes (about 20 miles) out of the shoes.

I have had several pairs of ASICS gel venture 6 and wore all of them out over time. I wanted to like the venture 7 but it’s a completely different fit: it feels a half size larger (in the same size that I got the venture 6), has an enormous toe box (which isn’t so bad) but also a very wide heel like a man’s shoe. It slides of my heel even when I put gel inserts and heel cups in (which I always use for extra cushioning). These don’t look as nice as the gel venture 6, and don’t fit at all. They are going back.

Got to say I'm a little disappointed with the trainer. I'm currently suffering with Achilles tendinitis and, having read some other reviews, thought this trainer might help reduce the discomfort I experienced when walking. They don't.
The delivery didn't go as smooth as it either. But these are difficult times so I guess that can be forgiven.

These shoes fit great and my husband has been ordering this same brand/style every year as they release a new edition and his others wear out. Unfortunately, within 2 weeks of wearing them, the tips started to peel back. It started on just one sneaker and then within a month both tips had peeled back. Sadly, he had already worn them and I forgot to reach out to see if we could exchange for a new pair (we have a newborn!). We've never had this happen to a new pair of shoes :(

These shoes aren't as good as the previous Asics I had. Don't know if I'll continue with this shoe as it doesn't fit my fit as the last 12's I had and they seem cheaper,i.e., shoe laces are cheap and they are too small for 12's.

I gave these shoes a shot, but ultimately had to return them. They felt heavy and bulky which I didn't like when running. The toe part of the shoe bent oddly at a diagonal angle rather than horizontally along my toes which was irritating. The sole wasn't very flexible/pliable. I'm a fan of ASICS but this wasn't the shoe for me

I have been a fan of the Gel-Venture line for several years. The 5 and 6 series were fantastic and fit very well. I bought the Gel-Venture 7s and the fit was different. Seemed a bit smaller in length and definitely narrower. I thought maybe it was my imagination but after wearing for a couple days I can honestly say they are not the same. They also seem to be a lower quality than in the past. Unfortunately I am returning and will have to start my search for a new athletic shoe.

After 4 years of weraing my Asics Venture 6, I was ready for a new pair. I figured since they felt great right our of the box and provided my wide feet with comfort at a job where I'm on my feet all day, purchasing the Venture 7s was a no brainer. I have a 4E width in a half size. I even went into the shoe store yesterday to make sure. I couldn't even get my foot in the venture 7. Even when I removed the laces. I checked the box to make sure 4E are what i purchased. The shoe also said EW. To my knowledge EW equals 4E while, "Wide" means 2E. So I brought out the tape measure and measured the sole of the new shoe (Venture 7) against the old (Venture 6) and discovered even though they were both 4E; the new Venture 7's were 3/4-1" narrower at the sole than the old Venture 6.
I'm extreemly disappointed and even wept. I've been dealing with uncomfortable shoes my entire adult life and finally found what I thought was a decent shoe that would fit my wide feet. I don't make a whole lot of money but, I've needed new shoes for quite a while. The Venture 6's were good but, are literally falling apart. Now I'm really not sure what I'm going to do other than tape up my old ones with duct tape and deal with the shame.
I feel really let down by the shoe industry and they don't care about people with wide feet.

None. NB are the same only ugly. Nike barey fit but are uncomfortable. May try Sketchers or Profet

Have had Asics running and trail shoes for 25 years. The Gel Venture 7 running shoe was disappointing. The materials are much less substantial. The top fabric over the toes is thin. There is less strap support on the sides. Just doesn't have the support feel of even the Gel Venture 6 which served me well. Shoe laces are a little thicker tha kite string. Asics is apparently trying to sell be design and not for running function. Returning them.
I'd also recommend:
Trying others and finding lesser quality materials as well. Sad.

This pair of shoes are uncomfortable. They look good and are priced to be affordable, but are difficult to wear.

Warning: This shoe has a small box and is slightly shorter than the Gel Venture 6. In the Gel Venture 6 my toes fit, in the Gel Venture 7 my toes are pushed together and my big toe rumbs the top of the shoe. WHY? If Asics wants to change colors from one model to the other fine, but why change the shoe so much that it does not fit those who bought previous versions? Worse ... I can't buy a half size up because I wear and 13 and there is no 13 1/2. I would have to buy a 14 which would be way to long. By the way, the shoe laces were downgraded as well. They are thin and cheap feeling compared to the Gel Venture 6. Overall the shoe has a cheaper feel. I had to return these.

Bleh. Basic shoe. And that is all I was looking for, but just didn't fit length wise. Felt pretty lightweight though, and had a solid feeling sole. Look better online than on foot, IMO.

My husband wears 11.5 4E, but this shoe was too big and wide for him. He has worn ASICS before, without problem. Returning.

I have major trouble finding wide enough shoes of ANY genre. I bought these years ago when they were the A-1000 and they always worked good enough. Everyday wear, not a runner. But I did break my little toe in J.V. basketball, it apparently never set properly now the whole foot looks like a Platypus flipper!! Nothing works for long! AND these.........where did what little arch support we had disappear to? If you are on the gentle size of 4E buy them they are great BUT if you are like me, on the dark side of 4E, pass on them too much misery for athletic shoes with Asics' reputation.
I'd also recommend:
Haven't found any yet, maybe an old pr. of Merrell I bought a few years back. more of a hiker.

I order these shoes last year and they were great so I ordered another pair. Size on the shoe is definitely not the actual size.

Really bad experience and they don t deserve a one star.
I thought with the new models ASICS could make a big jump but unfortunately any new article comes with more frustrations
It was a good time buying old technology like gel venture 6.
It s gonna be I think my last purchase with ASICS, I wish I can change my mind but after a lot of unfortunate purchases during last 4 years it s hard to stay.

These Venture 7's are my 4th or 5th pair of Asic Gel Ventures I've purchased, but they will be the last. I tried over 5 different pairs of shoes to find a set that felt anything like the shoes of the past, and the pair I settled on (2 sizes up from my regular shoe size) have very uncomfortable insoles. There is some kind of 'bump' in the front part of the insole that I suppose is designed as support for toes. However the bump seems to be in the same place regardless of shoe size and is uncomfortably annoying. Over the years I have sought out the Gel-Venture model, waited for correct size to become available, and have been very pleased. After wearing these daily for about 1 month I am ready to toss them and try to find another similar style shoe in a different brand.

These are my 5th pair of ASICS and they are the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever worn, I'll stick with the GT-2000 9/10s
