4 months into it and the rubber part that wraps up from the sole to the front of the shoe, is already started to peel off. You would think these shoes wouldn't have this issue given the fact these are trail running shoes. Very disappointed. Last time i will purchase Asics

Smaller than the size

Within 8 weeks of use, the inside fabric on the heel section of both shoes wore away leading to blisters on both heels. The ASICS GEL-Venture 7’s are by far the worst athletic shoes that I have ever purchased.

I had previously had Asics Venture 6's, which were a great pair of shoes and fit very well. They were wearing out, and the Venture 6s were no longer available, so I bought the newer Venture 7s. Due to the pandemic, I didn't need to use them and kept on wearing the 6s. They finally completely wore out and I got out the 7s, which I unfortunately had not tried on when they arrived. Big mistake. As others have noted, the sizing of these is completely different. They feel much narrower and shorter than the 6s. I wore them to work and had to take them off every time I sat to give my aching feet a rest. It's far too late to return them now, but be aware of the sizing problem I and others have noted.

Could not get my foot in. The opening was way too small for my wide foot. This was a trial as I have 6e width on the luck.

What a terrible shoe and Asics keeps using their good prior reputation to sell shoddy newer models. The venture 5 is a good shoe but this is a terrible imitation of it. These shoes are so non supportive that my ankles were constantly rolling. I wish I could get my money back, that how ANGRY it makes me feel!

I would have had more cushion and support from $1.99 flop flops from Walgreens.

I've had these same shes previously, and I'm still wearing them, but not for working out. These new Asics offer no arch support whatsoever! They may be the least comfortable shoes I've owned, and I've worn Asics since my days as a collegiate volleyball player (many decades). As little as I wear them, they are coming apart 6 weeks after the purchase. These are total garbage, and I should have returned them to Zappos long ago.

Do not buy this sneaker in this model. After having the sneaker less than 4 months of regular wear, they developed a hole in the top meshing, near the big toe. On a positive note, Zappos agreed to take the defective sneakers back and provided a full credit. Great customer service.

Fit is pretty good, the heel wall at the back of the shoe feels thicker than normal. The laces are bad, they are very thin. When the shoe is tied the laces cut into the shoe, its uncomfortable. I've not replaced the laces yet and the eyelets look to be smaller diameter than normal laces, so i am not sure if you can easily replace them. But for a $100 shoe you shouldnt have to buy more laces, I cant recommend this one.

I returned the sneakers about a week ago !!!!

Why do you ask me to submit a review? I returned the shoes because they were too small ... and I still haven't heard from you about my refund. This is my first Zappo's purchase and it doesn't give me much confidence in buying from Zappo's ... if they want me to review an item I returned and if they don't give me a refund for my return. The people at Zappo's seem very friendly but I don't know if I want to order from them again. By the way, I really don't have a bad opinion about the shoes. I only gave them one star because I had to submit some stars in order to submit this review ... and I only submitted the review because now I don't trust Zappo's.

Very light and comfortable but not durable. The rubber part of the sole was pealing off of the exterior toe area after the first 5 mile hike. After the second hike I had to apply "Shoe Goo" to re-attach the toe area of the soles on both shoes.

Bought these to replace a pair of GEL-Venture 6 that I've been buying for years. These are not the same. The shoe is significantly smaller, the tongue looks like it's bursting out when I tie them, and has a visible gap. It's like they made them for very low profile feet. Very disappointed after years of being happy with GEL-Ventures.

The shoes fit and felt fine right out of the box.

I've been wearing the Asics GEL-Venture 6 for quite some time. I was a bit apprehensive with ordering the Venture 7... since you never know what a new shoe model will be like... Unfortunately, the Venture 7 is a big step down from the Venture 6. First of all, it feels like it runs a full size short compared to the Venture 6. It, also, seems to be made of materials that are of inferior quality to to those of the Venture 6. I could tell as soon as I put my foot in the shoe that this was not going to work. Totally different shoe than the Venture 7. Very disappointed! Returning this shoe and starting a search to see if I find a pair of the Venture 6's before they disappear forever. You should have kept a good thing going ASICS!

This shoe can't possibly be a 4E, in spite of how it's marked. It squeezed my toes more than a regular D width, and the insole is the same size as a D width shoe's insole.
