The shoes felt a little tighter than I expected (I bought the EE ones, half size up than my normal walking shoes). They is a lot of cushion, which is great. I didn't like the shoelaces that came with it; their super thin and felt like then could easily rip after light use. I ended up returning this pair and going with a different trail running shoe.

The seaming on the side prevented the material from stretching, giving a tight feeling around the front of the foot. Had surgery done for a hammer toe, so there was just a bit too much pressure to keep this pair. Loves the color and style, wish it was just a bit wider, returned this pair.

I liked this shoe somewhat but it was a bit too wide and did not have much of a cushion sole. I bought the same size in the other shoe I purchased with this shoe but the size was right and the sole had more cushion to it. Neither shoe had the arch support of the Asics I have been buying for work but I was needing a pair of shoe and didn't have time to keep looking for something inexpensive.

The gel venture 5 and 6 in the same size fit perfectly. The 7 is smaller in toebox and doesn’t fit. Returning. Sizing has changed for ASICS.

I ordered a size 13 with width of 4E. That sounds like a boat...but the shoes were ridiculously snug. I love Zappos...but unfortunately, these had to go back. Not sure why athletic shoes do not come in truly wide sizes. This has always been a struggle for me.

These look great, but they are NOT comfortable. I don't expect to buying another pair.

Balls of my feet ached after walking and they bend a little early hitting my big toe joint.

I concur with others who wore the Gel Venture for years. I have worn them for at least 8 years. When I couldn't find them anymore I logically moved up to the 7. It was a mistake. These shoes are crap. I just pulled a new pair out of the box to replace my 6's and they are going into the garage to use when I do chores. They run smaller, the materials are cheaper and the fit is no where close to the 6. Asics blew it on these. I wish I could return them but I bought them a year ago and put them aside for when my 6' s ran out (bad pun).

These Gel Venture 8 shoes fit great. I tried the Gel Venture 7, but had to send them back, they were terrible. I take a 11-4X wide and although they both were that, the Venture-7s were very tight in the toe box, and also not as wide all over (I didn't even really have enough shoe lace to tie them after spreading them to get them on). The Venture-8s also just feel better all around. Definitely worth the extra cost for those. I would NOT recommend the Venture-7's if you have a wide foot.

Shoes lasted only eight months before the sole came off of the shoe. The shoe was only worn while walking my dogs each morning for about 1.5 miles each day on a sidewalk. There were many days during this time I didn't even wear them. So, to me this shoe was not very durable.

fit is ok but no arch support at all

Just didn't like the feel of the shoe.

Left shoe fit correctly; the right one rolled while walking and could never be laced comfortably.

I should have ordered a size 10 instead of 9 1/2, which is my normal shoe size. Rather tight at the toe.
