I've bought this shoe for years starting with 5 series. The series 6 were the best in my opinion. I kept a pair of 6 series as gym shoes, so they don't get as much wear. The series 7, they added more cushion. The insoles are sealed in, can't replace unless ripping out and possibly damaging the shoe. This cushion feels good at first, but then I notice it pushing my foot to the top more, causing a little pain. I've loosened the strings up a lot, this helps, but the shoe isn't as supportive. Asics: for your series 8, I suggest taking this cushion memory stuff out.

even though a "wide" shoe, surprisingly tight

This shoe feels a bit tighter and a bit more uncomfortable than expected.

The size was good but not the width, I wear a 4E width but Asics marks their shoes as “ extra wide “. Theses are not 4 E shoes. I like the looks and quality though as I find the quality to be ok. I may try another model of Asics.

I've been buying Asics for several years now, always a 9 4E, but these 4E feel very narrow for a 4E. Based on several other customer reviews who also bought 4E and have same issue going on, I think Asics has some kind of an error in recent 4E sizes.

Returning this shoe, I've been buying Asics 4E for many years and this feels narrow. I tried it on for an entire day and it does not feel like my other two Asics 4E's.

It is a good shoe for the price.

The laces are cheaper than other Asics I've bought before. The foot bed doesn't feel like it will last long if you wear them everyday. It feels like they will get compressed too easily. I don't think they will last long as other asics I've bought before. I got them really cheap so I'm Ok with them.

Fit was true to size

I've been wearing Venture 6 's for quite awhile which were great. These felt more narrow and didn't support my plantar's fasciitis. They don't offer the Venture 6 anymore so I'm wearing them. Very disappointed in this new style

No eyelet reinforcements means they wear out faster and cannot tighten as well. This has resulted in loose fit that rides up and down on the back of heel.

Asics gel-venture - feels a little loose everywhere. Tongue has annoying area on middle area that may or may not work itself out. Cushion feels food. Good rock plate.

No padding. I felt like I was wearing rock climbing shoes.

A step backwards from the Gel-Venture 6. I got size 10 4E width as I always have but these are a little shorter and a little less 4E. The laces that came with previous versions were an overall plus. They felt heavier duty and held a knot very well. These laces are thin, cheap feeling things. I might resort to replacing them with the laces from my old shoes. Past Gel Ventures have always felt like a very good shoe for a really good price. These, not so much.

I like the sneakers for the price, but they run very small, at least on the big sizes. I have several pairs of sneakers including 2 other ASICS. All are 15 and all fit perfect. I ordered this pair in 15 and they are too small, and also a bit narrow for a D.

The photo in comparison to what arrived is very different regarding color. The light gray is very dark gray. The dark gray is almost black. Will keep these anyway.

I found the heel stability to be lacking. My heel felt like it wanted to slip out and that was disconcerting.

The laces on these shoes SUCK way to thin

My son has worn the prior version of this sneaker and was very comfortable. I ordered this sneaker in the same size but he said it felt too tight.

More comfortable than any other Asics shoes I've purchased.

Husband likes the older style better, but these will work for working out.
